With parallel calc (we got a 4 server box), on average, our calc times decreased about 40%. The question is now how to get the intelligent calc to function appropriately, especially with currency conversion.

Before I switched from a 5 to 5s, my photos has stopped "streaming" to my PC. I would get every other photo and then just random photos would be added to the MyPhotoStream folder on my PC when I was connected to wi-fi... Now that I got my iPhone 5s, I thought the problem would be resolved but now NONE of my new photos in my photostream are syncing with my PC over wi-Fi. Why is this happening? I've already made sure my Camera app is closed, my photostream is ON, etc...HELP!

My Iphone 3G shows up as an Ipod after I used the restore feature on iTunes to transfer my apps and info from my old iTouch 2G. As a result I can't go to "ringtones" because it does not show up in itunes as it still thinks I am connecting the iTouch?
You also want to move/copy the iPod backup file from the old computer to the new on. It is located:
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: If you do not see the AppData or Application Data folders, you may need to show hidden files (Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7), or iTunes may not be installed in the default location. Show hidden files and then search the hard drive for the Backup directory.
After you move your music and other stuff to the new computer, restore you iPod from backup and sync. -
My iPhone has been acting very strange lately and the only way to get it to turn on and function is to restore it. I restored it from a backup of my phone before I restored it. I was mostly worried about my pictures. I was relieved to see them all there,
until the number of photos in my camera roll and other albums began to go down. soon enough, all the pictures I had restored were deleted. where did they go and how can I get them back?Hi bluegrandpanash,

My premiere project file size just went from 190MB to 5.61GB... and now it won't open! Anyone know how this happened? Or how to prevent it from happening again? Thankfully I saved a backup project of the 190MB file size.

I changed laptops and went from Vista to Windows 8. It requires icloud. I did icloud setup but it will not allow me access and wants to give me a new password. That is OK but it will not send me the promised password even though itunes recognizes my password
This has been posted for almost 2 weeks and not one reply. Thanks a bunch! As a newbie to OOo and Mozilla, I am not impressed with responsiveness to support needs with either. So, the future of my new experiment with going non-Microsoft remains an open question.
Oddly enough, the problem mysteriously went away. I have followed the same routine and changed no settings. Suddenly all of the downloaded spreadsheets were no longer read-only. So I consider the matter resolved. -

Lost my hard drive and also an Ipad, but have 7 k photos on a Touch that I need to load on fixed IMAC with a new hard drive, how do I do it. (There were more photos than the 7k, but they were saved on other drives, thank goodness). 7K pohotos on the Touch are no where else, must be saved! Just never went from a Touch to iMac. I have the cable hooked up and then what, I don't want to mess up,my last chance to save 7k pics! New Aperture and IPhoto on IMAC with no other photos loaded on the new hard drive yet.
I'd ask in the iTouch forum where there are more iTouch users there than here and they should know how to off load the photos. It might take a 3rd party app.

I want to transfer an audiobook and a movie from my MacBook Pro to my iPhone 4S, and can't figure out how. I went to "Help" and it said after connecting the two devices I should "Click Apps," but I can't find anything labeled "Apps" to click. Help?!!
If you have iTunes 11 on your Mac then you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S, that might make it easier to navigate.
Connect the phone to your Mac and select it on that left-hand sidebar, and on the right-hand side of the screen there should be a series of tabs which you can use to select what to sync to the phone. If it's an audiobook then it should appear on the Books tab for selecting/syncing, and films will be on the Movies tab. When you've got the audiobook on your phone you should get an Audiobooks option in the Music app (you might need to tap the '...' tab at the bottom of the Music app to see it). -
Overnight my contact list went from 1492 to 52. With help from Apple I retrieved the missing contacts using Time Machine. The problems is that the contacts are not in groups as they used to be. Any suggestions? I really need them grouped for business reasons.
Also, there are no longer pictures associated with each contact.
thanks for any help anyone can give me getting contacts back into the groups that I had established. By the way, the group names are still there, but they are all empty.

Upgraded hardware, and went from XP to Win7 - how do I transfer/install CS5 onto new SSD hard drive?
I recently upgraded all my computer internals; new mobo, Samsung SSD (solid state drive), CPU and ram. Also went from XP Pro to Win 7 Pro, with Win 7 Pro now residing on the new solid state drive. I still have the old 1TB Serial ATA hard drive connected as a storage device, and this is where CS5 resides. But of course, my CS5 applications are now unusable.
Can someone please give me some guidance as to how to transfer the CS5 installation from the old HD (XP Pro) to the new SSD (Win 7 Pro)? I started doing some research, and read about first "deactivating" CS5, but I cannot open any of my CS5 applications to "deactivate". So I am stumped. I am reticent to attempt a new install from my CS5 disks until I learn the proper process..........
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So recently my iphone went from 7gb available space to 185 mb available space, I know for a fact that im not using up this much space
I don't know why my iphone started taking up a random space like this, does anyone know a solution to my problem?Connect it to iTunes and take a look at the color-coded storage usage bar at the bottom of the Summary page. Is anything out of wack in comparison to what you are syncing to the phone? If the Other category is in the multi-gigabyte range, you may have some or rust files on the phone. Best way to resolve that issue is to do a Restore.

A few days ago, I copied text from an iBook onto my text notebook. When I went to my kindle on my ipad and attempted to share a quote from it onto Facebook it pasted the previous quote from my iBook. I can't copy and paste anything except that quote. HELP

my macbook pro went from startup screen to grey vertical stripes with a bit of flashing. Force quit twice and it is still doing it. Had a bit of problem last time I started it with flashing screen, but it settled. After leaving it on screen went black (as usual) and on waking had desktop up but continued to flash. Any suggestions?
