You don't see the Camera app
You should see the Camera app on your Home screen.
If it’s not there, search for it with Spotlight. If Camera doesn't show up in the search, check to see if it's blocked.
Go to Settings > General > Restrictions and look under Allow. Make sure Camera is on.

  • Why can't one use the apps for the ipad on one's iMac?

    how come one cannot actually use the apps that one purchases (or gets for free) on one's desktop computer? For instance, I just paid for and downloaded a few apps for my iPad (using iTunes of course) but my wife has my iPad and she is out-of-town for a few days. Now I gotta wait (to use them & check them out) by waiting for her to get back, .... then i gotta sync it. Bah, ... humbug.

    i kinda knew the answer to that already... i am just like a kid at christmas, ... waiting, ... waiting.... waiting until my wife comes home and then i will say, ... "oh, it is so great to see you, i missed you" then give her a hug and a kiss and then say "where's the iPad, dear?".

  • If I buy an apple app for my iPad can i also use on my iphone 5 or do I have to buy a separate copy of the app for the iPhone 5?

    If I buy an app for my iPad 2 do I have to buy another copy of the app to use on my iPhone 5?

    Depends all IOS apps that work on the iPhone/iPod touch can be scaled/doubled to work on iPad, however those built specifically for iPad won't work on the smaller brethren.
    You can see in iTunes what apps can be synced to each device type.

  • I was upset that I was having trouble with the mail on the Mac Book Pro.  I threw away the app for this.  Is there any place to get it back the computer.   I have looked for my install disks to no avail.  Is there anywhere I can download it back to my com

    I threw the program away.  I need to have it on my computer.  Is there anywhere I can find the download for mail for mac.   I have looked for the install disks to no avail..  Can anyone help me?

    There is nowhere that you can download it from.  You need your Mac OS X install disk.  If you can't find it, you'll need to replace it.  Then you can install Mail from that disk.

    we need to disable a previously provided b2b custom app on a non supervised ipad. can we cancel the redemption code to stop access to the app for the user who used the code? any help is appreciated.

    Wow, sorry to hear of your experience. Seems strange that your disk would just eject like they did. It could be a lot of things but more than likely you just kind of have to start all over.
    What I would do is insert your system disk and instead of going immediately to an install I would go to disk utility and erase the drive. That will erase everything on the disk and give you a new blank disk to start with. After that I would try to reinstall the system. Assuming that goes well then you should be restored to where it was when you purchased it. After that you can reinstall all your applications or personal files. I hope you have good backups.
    I remember one time I was having a similar problem and don't ask my why I did it but I actually could not get it to install a system. I removed both of my ram sticks, shut the computer down for about 10 minutes including unplugging it from the wall plug, then reinstalled the ram, plugged it back in and started up from the system disk and all worked just fine. To this day I have no idea if pulling the ram helped but I have never had to do it since and for some dumb reason that solved the problem I was having, which is the same problem you are having now. Call it voodoo but it worked.
    Good Luck!!

  • When I am downloading a free application (foursquare) in the App Store, it came up with a message saying Verification Required which means I need to pay for it. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

    I am currently using iPhone 3GS and when I am going to download foursquare which is a FREE application in the App Store, it came up with a message saying Verification Required which means I need to pay for it. Can anyone tell me how to solve the problem? For further informations, I am currently using Windows running Vista. Special thanks to those who replied.

    Your iTunes account sounds like it does not have a credit card or payment attached to it. Even free apps require that you have entered payment information even though you won't be charged for the app.

  • On several of my apps my iPad 2 w/ IOS 4.3.3 said I needed to update the apps and the updates were for ios4.3.3 but now the apps don't work at all after updating.  They just flash on the screen but don't stay displayed.  What is going on?

    On several of my apps my iPad 2 w/ IOS 4.3.3 said I needed to update the apps and the updates were for IOS4.3.3 but when the update was complete the apps would no longer work.  They would just flash when I tapped the screen to bring them up but will stay displayed.  What is the problem?

    I Also have this problem!!
    In my situation, the screen simply started exhibiting the same symptoms a few weeks ago (early February) for no apparent reason.  At first I thought the screen was dead, but discovered the heat solution by accident.  Now I turn it on and keep it from going to sleep until I go to bed.  Thank goodness the battery is still awesome on this thing.
    I bought it new and still has the original screen, I keep it at home (never below 62 degrees).  Coincidentally, this happened a day or two after the expiration of the warranty!!  Any help figuring this one out would be eternally appreciated.

    The APP update request came for 4 apps.  I submitted update all, but the system is stuck and will not update. Further, I cannot use those apps.  How do I fix this?

    Two other things to try -
    Power your iPad off for a minute and then back on again.
    Double tap the Home button, locate the updating apps (one by one) in the bottom task bar, press on it until the red minus sign comes up and click it. Repeat for the remaining apps. Try the updates again but do them one by one rather than Update All.

  • HT202159 Problem with Update on   It started, then the screen went white and the icons for the apps on the desktop were all blackened, 'waiting'.  What now?

    It showed a number of apps to be updated on my iPad, so I clicked 'update all' as usual.  It started, then the screen went white.  The icons for the apps on the desktop went black, as they do, with the first one half way around the little circle timer, and two marked 'waiting', with others not that far into the process.  They all stopped.  Now I can't stop the update process in the App Store, or use any of the apps.  What do I do next?  Help, please!

    Hello there, Rev Susi.
    From what I can gather you have a few apps that only display "Waiting". The following is a past discussion that dealt with a similar issue, the answer may help you as well:
    App updates won't download on my...: Apple Support Communities
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4111336
    Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.
    Make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the App Store or iTunes Store.
    If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.

  • Do I need to pay for an app again if I were to get it for the iPad?

    I just received an iPad as a gift from my wife. I also own an iPhone. There are some paid apps that I have that work on both systems. The one in question is the MLB.TV app. Since I already own the iPhone version of it, do I need to pay AGAIN for the iPad version?
    Thanks!

    If it's a universal version (denoted by a "+" on the icon in the App Store) or an iPhone app and both devices are synced to the same account, you don't have to pay again. If there is a separate app for the iPad (often has HD after the name), then yes, you will have to pay again.

  • I have an Iphone 3GS and the app for Facebook doesn't work anymore...

    I have an Iphone 3GS and the app for Facebook doesn't work anymore since last update made yesterday.
    How can I restore it without the last update?
    Or, what can I do to have the Facebook back again on my mobile?
    Thank you for your help.

    Hi Ricoco,
    I too had exact issue what you were experienced, then I went to Apple autorised service center and submitted my earpods, their it worked with all versions of Apple iphones, but it didn't worked on my 3gs. The service technician suggested for OS  upgrade.Then I came home and I took the backup and upgraded 5.1 to 6.1 as he suggested, also it didn't worked. I was totally frustated and suddenly I got an idea!. What a funny thing here is, a safety pin resolved my issue, I took out all dust which was there in the jack hole. Then I check my earpods, it was amazing you know..MY EAR PODS WORKED!.
    If you still have this issue, I hope this will help you.

  • C++ project works, but where is the .app for it?  (Newbie question)

    Friends, a simple question:
    I open xCode 3.0 on Leopard and I make a new project (named "count2") using the command line utility C++ tool and enter the following application:
    #include <iostream>
    using namespace std;
    int main() {
    int i, n;
    // Get a number from the keyboard and initialize i.
    cout << "Enter a number and press RETURN: ";
    cin >> n;
    for (i = 1; i <= n; i++) // For i = 1 to n,
    cout << i << " "; // Print i.
    return 0;
    The application compiles and runs well.
    So my question is, where is the application that I can take from this project, and move to my Applications folder so every time I want to use this application I can simply double click it? I searched for count2.app, but cannot find it.
    Thanks amigos, -Migs

    Excellent Psycho. I have made a small Xcode tutorial and would like to post it here. Where do you suggest? Following is the text:
    C++ Programming on Macintosh OS X Leopard
    Many of you will want to get from your C++ textbook to a working application on your Mac quickly. Fortunately the Mac has an extremely powerful integrated design environment (IDE) that is available for free on every Mac that runs OS X, It’s called Xcode Tools. It can develop in many more languages than C++ so at first it may seem a bit overwhelming, but later, as your needs grow it will be a formidable tool in your arsenal. For now, all you need is the installer DVD that came with your Mac or a Mac OS X install DVD. (If you don’t have either of these you can also download the installer from Apple here http://developer.apple.com/tools/download/) I’m going to show you how to install Xcode for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) from the DVD, but the process is very similar for other previous versions of the Mac OS. Getting to your first running application is a little convoluted, so that is what this tutorial will help you to accomplish quickly.
    First you will install Xcode tools on your Mac since it is not installed by default when you upgrade your OS or install the OS for the first time. (Just to be sure it wasn't previously installed you can check by opening your Macintosh volume (not your User folder) and seeing if it contains a folder named “Developer” . If not, you need to go ahead and install it as follows:
    Insert your Mac OS X DVD and open Optional Installs. Open Xcode Tools. Double click the XcodeTools.mpkg package and install it on your Mac.
    In order to make using the Xcode IDE easier to access, open the Developer folder on your Mac, then the Applications folder and drag Xcode.app to your dock.
    Now you are ready to begin coding, so open Xcode Tools from your Dock and dismiss the “Welcome to Xcode” pop up. Select File/New Project and open Command Line Utility in the New Project Assistant. Now select C++ Tool and click Next. Choose a name for your project (It can be the name of your program) and were to save it. A project window will appear with the name you chose for your project. You may wonder what all the Groups and Files on the left side of the window are for, and though overwhelming, you must know that the Xcode Tools IDE which you are using allows you to make full blown applications which require all these parts, and not just the code you want to learn with in your first “Hello World” program. Fortunately all we need to focus on is one file that will be where you will edit your code. On the left hand pane entitled “Groups & Files” open the Source folder, then select the “main.cpp” file and in the same window click on the “Editor” button. You will also need a Console to view your program output, so in the main menu select Run/Console and open both windows so you can edit and view your code and your results simultaneously. Notice that the main.cpp window already has a sample program listing inside as a help to get you started. Here you can replace everything with your own code, and that is what you will do on your own, but for now let’s use the code they have in the default just to show you what to do next to get output out of the application. Click the “Build and Go” Button on the editor and watch the Console to see the results of your code execution. Now that you are done, go ahead and choose an example from your textbook and make a new project from scratch. Doing so will cement the steps in your head. -Migs (Miguel Reznicek)
