Were is the Reader 9.2 update?

I have tried to download the file to update Reader 9.12 to version 9.2. I followed the links and it says it will be a 22 meg file. When it is actually downloaded it is a 275 meg file and appears as though it is for Acrobat. Seems like there are some links crossed.
I need to download the update so that I can update the corporate version. Can anyone provide me with a working link?

Well that's odd. It shouldn't be that big.
Here is the updater from the FTP site. I confirmed that it's 26MB.

Messages App (OS 10.8.4) Does Not Correctly Display the Read Count.

For a while now, the messages app in Mountain Lion does not mark an iMessage as being "read." If I read an iMessage on my iPhone, then it will update the read count in the messages app on my MacBook Pro to show it has been read. If I read an iMessage on my MacBook Pro, the blue dot stays and the read count remains unchanged. Can someone point me in the right direction on getting the read count to work again?

And yes, the "read" count is updated between devices. This always worked for me until 10.8.2 was released and it broke on my main system. I have another computer and it continues to work. I read an iMessage on that computer, the blue dots go away from my iPhone and no iMessages show up on the lock screen. For some reason my main computer doesn't function this way anymore.

BW 3.5 - Update to PSA only / Read PSA and Update Data Target

Hi Folks,
I am planning to use on a BW 3.5 data source and infopackage that loads to PSA only (as the source system job runs quite long and we would run other prepration loads in parallel before pushed to final cube). And then later in the process chain the process Read PSA and Update Data Target to load the data to final cube.
As we plan to run the process chain 3 times a day I was wondering if the Read PSA and Update Data Target always takes only the latest request loaded to the PSA (as it is always the same infopackage) or do we have to delete the PSA request at the end of each process chain run so that not the next run will load the PSA request again as it is still in the PSA?

You are loading the Delta till the PSA, multiple times a day, and after each update to the PSA you will send the data to the Cube.
Once its there in the PSA, you are performing further tasks & then updating the cube multiple times (once after each delta)
Well, the 1st load to the cube should be OK.
But, from the next load onwards, it would pick up all the requests from the PSA & you will have wrong values in the Cube.
Because, i think, while using 'Read PSA & Update the Target', you can't set it for a FULL or a DELTA load.
It will bring in everything that exists in the PSA.
I would advice you to clean the PSA before the starting next Delta.
But, there is a counter argument.
If the data mart sign is reflected in the PSA for the request that has been loaded into the cube, then the next time the system will pick up the request which does not have a data mart symbol.
You can always give this a try in your Dev system.

I have an old version of iPhoto and I was prompted to update to '08, which I thought I had and BOOM - all the photos were gone when I said "no". I have lost all my albums and wonder what it will look like if I put them back in? They were found in the iPhoto Data folder. I looked it up in iPhoto Help.

These are not your Photos. They are just the thumbnails that show in the iPhoto Window. They are tiny and not useful for anything. Look for your photos in the Originals Folder.
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library'. Are any Libraries listed?

No, there is no re-cycling bin on the iPad. If you deleted them from the card, and you havn't yet re-used the card, then there may be recovery software that you can get for your computer that might be able to get them back.

Perhaps check for corrupted files--I had this issue with a messed up track/ file, and that kept killing the sync. More here:

And to make matters worse, I tried renaming them as pdf files thinking that might do the trick.

oh boy ! I'd ask you if you knew what kind of files they were or where they came from, but I don't think you could help me a bunch. Try going to the Utilities folder and running Disk Utilities. If you want to empty the Trash and it won't empty, go to the finder and choose "secure Empty trash". Worse case scenario-you may have to reinstall Snow Leopard, but I don't know what else to suggest. If you have a DVD of Snow Leopard, boot up from that, and reinstall the OS. This will not touch the stuff you have on your Hard Drive, then you can update from 10.6 to 10.6.8, otherwise Onyx? Maybe those files are part of the OS which needs them to keep running. if you hold down the Shift key on reboot, you can reboot in Safe mode and maybe you can take the files out of the trash that way

Unable to Open .pdf and not allowed to update the Reader

I work for a State Agency that sends out .pdfs created with Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 to other State Agencies as an email attachment.
We put security on the .pdf allowing only printing of the document.
We have been doing this for years with no problems; however, we recently added a new branch of agencies to receive them. Many of these agencies are unable to open the .pdf.
I suggested they update to the Reader X, but they say they are unable to update the Reader because, "Our IT department does not have the capability to upgrade my adobe without it affecting the daily operation of my case management system." Apparently, they have lots of forms that they will be unable to use if they upgrade.
So, my question is: Is there some other way the agencies can view and print the .pdf we are sending to them?

That could be enough.
Some email systems use encoding on files to make the transfer a little faster. When they are decoded at the receiving end, they can become corrupt.
One way to test if this is the issue would be to Zip the file first, email it, and see if they can unZip the file and open it. If that works, then encoding is the problem. Not sure what can be done about that other than to Zip all files or post the files to a server and send them a link.
I also seem to remember a conversation a long time ago about some newer files not being readable in Reader 5 and it tossed up that same error message but unfortunately, I'm depending on memory for that one and can't seem to find that old thread.
But try a testing a Zip file and see if that works first.

I have reader 9.4.1. whenever I search for an update the result says an update is avaialable.

If I download and update the reader and search immediately for an update, It says one is available and the process repeats even though the update has just completed. This has happened over and over. What is wrong here? In addition I find that I cannont open a subdocument. that is I have a PDF document that has a button to click to open a sup document or modify the one on the screen. Nothing happens when this button is clicked. Whether the two items are related, I don't know.

I went to the App store and looked at the reviews. Very mixed. More confused. Several comments that their computers crashed with this new version. Are there bugs? Fixed?

Uninstall Reader. Use Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs to remove all traces of Reader. Download a new copy from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise

Need Help. Since update the reader as changed program association

Since I don't trust updates I held out for months on XI but finally succumbed and after installation I noticed that many files that relate to another specific program now carry the Reader icon. Since the files are not pdf, they won't open. As a Windows 7 user I tried to change the association be normal means but as soon as I finish and go back to the desktop, I get the same Adobe message: "Adobe could not open because it is not an accepted file (etc)". Since the program is a professional music notation program with the suffix .sib, I don't understand why Adobe would take all of these on (hundreds of files). They are music files and essential.
Please please please, if you have any answers please let me know.

If you have iCloud enabled and you are syncing Safari Bookmarks that also syncs the Reading List with other devices.
Quit Safari.
Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Bookmarks then reselect it.
Relaunch Safari. Try opening the Reading List.
If you do not use iCloud. try deleting the cache associated with Safari.
Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db. Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
For Lion v10.7x: To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library
Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit then relaunch Safari. Try the Reading List
