Westell 7500 (2nd one) intermitant internet, timed out pings.. etc etc

welll, where to start,
About 1 week ago we started having issues with slow too no internet.
Let it go for a day or so before I called Verizon.
The automated lady does a line test. They see a problem. I end up talking with a person, run through all the normal stuff.
They send out a tech.
When the tech comes he deduces quickly that I have line issues.
So he orders a new run to my house made. I guess.
Next day around 3:00 pm the internet dies completely. Dead. Blinking DSL light no internet light.
So I call back up, they can't send someone that day so the next day they can.
So I stay home yet again.
They came on Thursday and after about 15~20 he figures out how they wired up out side does not match up what i have in the house. So we go downstairs rewire that one port.
It works... yeaaa.. and it is SCREAMING...
After about 2~3 hours of surfing/game playing.. the internet dies, intermittently,  again.. back too step one.. great...
Soo i am furious at this time.. I call again.. after about 2hours on the phone and 4-5 different people.. i have someone coming the next day... that is day #3 for no work.. thank gawd i have tons of days to lose. The one advanced tech i talked to said well lets send you a different modem and a different model. I was happy happy .. great let's get rid of the 7500.
So I stay home. The usual, stay here to from 8am~5pm for the tech.. At 3pm i start to worry that they forgot about me. Well i called and after 15~20 mins i find out they did .. Oh and my new modem showed up, wow that was fast. And its an 7500 *sigh*.
Well found out the modem he wanted to give me is no longer aloud to be shipped so they shipped me the same model.
Well after I  found out that there was no one coming i just installed the modem myself.
I plugged it in. It works. So i am ok at this point in time.
Well later on that night i have NO internet again. At this point time i set fire to the house. Just kidding but that is how I felt.
sooo here some data ..
from right now this is what my ping to my modem looks like....

Any ideas?
HELP PLEASEEEE

All righty .. got another tech in here... he is actually very good and is just as confused as i am... did i mention i am windows system admin for a college... well anyways... unfortunately networking is not my field..
I do not have good news as, i am still having problems.. about 1.5 hours after he left i got a time out again.. solid dsl no internet...
Mind you this is a brand new 7500 modem...
I have been reading about a possible issue with the modem "over heating" because of the wireless.. and that if you turn it off this issue will go away.. the timeouts that is...  I refuse to even try this as this is not a solution .. so i tried dropping my wireless down to B and no wep, just MAC address filtering... I also lengthened the amount of time that the ssid broadcast goes out... figured less is more.. less work it has to do the less heat it will produce...
well this is to no avail..
As for you people with slowness issues... cause mine really isn't slowness at this time..  They replaced the run to my telco box and that seem to help... i am getting great speeds... i just can't stay on...
hope any of this helps...

When  I try to update my ipad with the latest software, I get an error message saying that the internet timed out.  What can I do?

The update file is around 700 megs so if you're on a slow connection it does time out. You can also look into your anti virus software or firewall, it might be blocking the file. Also if you're trying to download it over 3G it won't work. There's a 20 meg cap on all 3G downloads.

Try disabling your firewall and your anti virus software until the update downloads and installs on the iPad.

  • Internet timing out frequently

I don't know how long I've had this (probably first since I got the iMac) but every now and then when I am surfing the web the page would just freeze at loading and stand still when I click a link. This could be because of slow internet, but I've tested it before, just opening another tab and going to Google would take as long as the other page loading. The page would not literally freeze, but just stay still; like the wait for a page to load. I wouldn't have a problem with this normally, but sometimes I go on sites that require internet access at all times, and when it happens, I would have to reload the page.
Most of the time the freeze would only last a few seconds, but sometimes it never "reconnects" and I have to turn my wifi off and then on again. It has gotten really annoying, and on some sites I lose a lot of progress due to it. Sorry if I used the term "timing out" wrongly, but I had no idea what to call it. Other questions and answers always had a problem where they would be disconnected from their network, but in my case my network is always connected and wifi is always on. It just.. happens.
Thank you to everyone replying to this post,

         Hello, I have 9 plug-ins,
    Quicktime Player
    Widevine Content Decryption Module (disabled)
    Chrome PDF Viewer
    Adobe Flash Player
    Default Browser Helper
    Native Client
    Chrome Remote Desktop Viewer
    AdobeAAMDetect (disabled)
    Unity Player (disabled)
Is there a plug-in on the list that needs to be disabled? After I disabled three of them my page still freezes. Just now, I tried disabling all of them except for Native Client, to see if it does anything.

Which JDK should be installed ?
Can somebody tell what exactly should be done for JSP Timing Out. I mean there should be something for that.. So many people have got the issue. Today night after work I am going to sit and diagnose the issue.
If anybody can give any pointers/directions as to how this is to be diagnosed. That would be of immense help.
Thans hsawwan. I will try your commands. But a more verbose help would be of cause for this issue.

  • Timed out Ping Result

I have difficulty to connect FP-1601 to my computer using MAX. "The connection to remote device timed out." message pop up everytime. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
If you already assigned an IP address to your module, try pinging it first (Start>>Run>> Ping x.x.x.x).
If you don't get an answer the problem is there. A common cause for this is using a wrong cable. If you are connecting directly from your network card you will need a cross cable.
Another potential problem is firewall blocking. You need to allow MAX in your firewall.
Yet another is not being on the subnet as the device and having the subnet mask block your communication.
Did you manage to talk to it in the past?
Does it have an IP address?
Attached please find the Pinging result.
    Attachments:
    TimedOutPingResult.bmp ‏2305 KB

    A couple of Dont's:
DON'T start a new thread to continue the discussion. It only makes it less likely you will get an answer. Simply reply in the original thread.
DON'T post bmp files. Paint in Windows XP can save files as JPG, PNG, and GIFs.
OK, so you can ping it (assuming that's the device, you should disconnect it and run the ping again to make sure. If there is no answer, it means it is the device).
In that case, it's possible that the firewall is blocking MAX. Do you have any other networked controller connected which work?
To allow MAX in the firewall go to the firewall settings (probably in the control panel) and find the list of the allowed programs. Add MAX to that list and see if that helps.
Try to take over the world!

  • Internet Timing Out!

I am using airport, and when i am active on it it works perfectly. If i leave it for about 20 minutes and it goes into standby it cuts out. It only takes a few seconds to reconnect but when trying to download it is incredibly annoying!! Can anyone help me get my settings right so it never cuts out.
    Many Thanks! Mark.

The single biggest mistake in your analysis is assuming that if Windows (or a Wii or an iPhone or whatever other device) can connect, your router is not to blame.
Though devices are designed to standards, there can be errors in implementing those standards or even simple software bugs that come into play.
The example I've used over and over again is say there is a bug where when the router is asked to add "2 + 3" it answers "5" but when asked to add "3 + 2" it answers "6."
If Windows only ever adds "2 + 3" but Mac OS X adds "3 + 2," it's not Apple's fault the router is incorrectly responding "6" in the later case.
But let's start with easier questions:
    1) Are you sure that no proxy is being used if one shouldn't be, and vice-versa?
    2) Are the DNS addresses shown in your TCP/IP settings the same regardless of whether you are connected via AirPort or Ethernet?
    3) Could there be some interference in the area you are using your Mac? Recall also that Mac and Windows PCs use different antenna designs, so what interferes with one may not affect the other.

  • Request timed out ping

Still no need to separate them. Have two nics in the WDS server and have a build network.

    Hi
i have 2 different subnets, i have 2 because im trying to setup a lab away from main network and other users.
i can successfully remote connect, my MAIN PROBLEM is i cannot ping from server 2008r2 to belkin router, nor can i ping from the first subnet 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.1.5
the second subnet is my lab, they r physical servers/pc/router
main network includes which is the first subnet
    virgin router=192.168.0.1-dhcp-dns

  • Infoview Reports timing out, Freezing and other performance issues

    Hi all,
New user and been tasked with a project to try and get to the bottom of a problem our users get using infoview on our network. Now i have very little experience in these kind of things and this is more of a research and learn experience at the same time. I have highlighted in bold below what one of my colleagues has sent me in order to research.
You may have noticed Reports timing out, Freezing etc.
We need recognise whatu2019s causing it and any solutions we can apply.
It maybe down to Memory issues, on local machines. Cost of Queries on the databases or even Java versions used when either editing or viewing Webi reports.
Other considerations could be Network issues u2013 Are the problems just site specific
u2022     Identify reports that are causing problems. Is it down to the Queries used and can these be optimised to run faster u2013 Our DBA can assist with this using his Query profiler (ORACLE).
Or reports that have many tabs on, appear to take longer to open/edit u2013 is this Memory or Java.
u2022     Research the web for known issues/fixes,
u2022     Raise Topics on Forums such as BOB and the SAP forum u2013 explaining the above, Can we find out what causes it, which Java versions we should be using, and recommended amount of Memory (RAM) etc.
At the moment im busy just getting a list  of reports our users are having a problem with along with any error messages etc. Now in order to get help from some gurus on here i obviously would need to supply more information on our setup so if anyone can help just tell me what information you need and i will get this for you.

    Hi,
Here's my best suggestion, use a monitoring tool like Remote Support Component: www.service.sap.com/remote-supportability
you can use this utlity to diagnose your system and all aspects of its latency
    regards,

  • My MBA indicates my connection is timing out. My wifi on other laptops work in the house. Diagnostics indicate wifi settings failed, network settings failed, ISP failed, Internet failed, and server failed. What can I do?

My MBA indicates my connection is timing out. My wifi on other laptops work in the house. Diagnostics indicate wifi settings failed, network settings failed, ISP failed, Internet failed, and server failed. What can I do?

Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, until the problem is resolved. Some of these steps are only possible if you have control over the wireless router.
    Step 1
Turn Wi-Fi off and back on.
    Step 2
Restart the router and the computer. Many problems are solved that way.
    Step 3
Change the name of the wireless network, if applicable, to eliminate any characters other than letters and digits. You do that on your router via its web page, if it's not an Apple device, or via AirPort Utility, if it is an Apple device.
    Step 4
    Run the Network Diagnostics assistant.
    Step 5
In OS X 10.8.4 or later, run Wireless Diagnostics and fix the issues listed in the Summary, if any.
    Step 6
    Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Enter the name of your wireless network in the search box. You should have one or more "AirPort network password" items with that name. Make a note of the name and password, then delete all the items. Quit Keychain Access. Turn Wi-Fi off and then back on. Reconnect to the network.
    Step 7
You may need to change other settings on the router. See the guidelines linked below:
Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    Potential sources of interference
    Step 8
Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
    Step 9
Reset the System Management Controller (SMC).

I am using itunes 10.5. Update didnt work on last software but restore did work. Help

After two days of attempts, Google & Apple searches, one Apple post stated to turn off all firewalls and virus software and keep trying since there were 6 gazillion people trying to update.  I have Windows 7 & Kaspersky and had to diable every single safety feature in Kaspersky as well as Firewalls and it finally allowed the download and update attempt.
Glancing at the forum, there appears to be numerous other problems with missing pictures, text problems etc after the IOS5 download but fortuneately, everything seems ok so far.  Good luck, it is frustrating!  Hattie47
