wet ipod touch is now dry, it wont take a charge and tell me to hook up to my itunes account but the computer is not reconizing it

- You need to restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod and start anew. Is the restore button visable in iTunes? If it is they restore the iPod.
- If it is not visible try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Transfer the iTunes folder from your old computer to your new computer. It's in your My Music >> iTunes folder. You'll probably need an external hard drive to do this. Make sure you upgrade the old and the new computers to the latest iTunes before transferring your music to the new machines.

BRAND NEW IPOD TOUCH WONT APPEAR IN WINDOWS OR ITUNES

I just bought a brand new 8gb ipod touch and when i plug it into my computer the it lights up and beeps but nothing comes up on itunes or my computer. I have a working ipod video that syncs and is recognized by my computer everytime (even with the usb that came with my touch). I have tried uninstalling and installing itunes and that did nothing. I have had no computer problems to date and that included problems with my usb port. I dont know what else to do. It won't appear in my computer ANYWHERE!!

the usb connections work fine with my other ipod and camera. The computer makes a noise when i plug my new ipod in so i know that its not the usb cable or the port.
I have restored my ipod and when i go to put it into recovery mode it give me and error message (#1611) and wont let me continue.
when i called apple they said that, that error means its a hardware issue but I exchanged my ipod yesterday and i am having the EXACT same problem so its not a hardware issue. The apple associate then told me to disable all my antivirus software because it could be somehow blocking the apple mobile device thing but nothing is working still and i am back at sqaure one.
Please if you have any more suggestions. I am sure that there is just some setting somewhere on my computer that is off. is there a windows firewall setting i should be disabling?

Ipod touch wont restore after getting new itunes

I just downloaded itunes to the newest version. Then I backed up my ipod so that I could update the software. Now the ipod is blank and it wont restore. Ive tried different USB ports, restarting the computer, everything and nothing has worked.

Ipod touch wont connect to windows or itunes

My iPod touch is connected to my pc with a cable and it is getting charged, but it isnt being detected in devices or in iTunes and i really need to put music in there. How can i get the device to be detected???

It won't be a problem. You can use an 'unlimited' number of devices (iPods, iPhones etc) on a single iTunes account.
I rushed off to O2 on Friday after work and got myself an iPhone.
I backed up the iPod touch first (which was running 3.0 by that time) and then activated the iPhone using the iPod touch backup. Pretty much everything synced across exactly as it was on the touch (i.e. all Apps and paid apps), notes etc. One app I had never got to run on the iPod (iOSMaps) suddenly appeared on the iPhone too. Much like when you get a new Mac you find that all your settings and windows are preserved. When I opened Safari on the iPhone the last two pages I'd been looking at on the iPod were open. The only things that didn't sync were my emails - which of course downloaded shortly after the account details were synced (this is as expected), the iPhone suddenly being named 'iPod touch', my home WiFi password didn't sync and my email signature (not surprisingly still read - Sent from my iPod touch'.)

IPod Touch 3.0 upgrade stays with iTunes account?

Hello. It's my understanding that if I had to replace my iPod Touch 2G with a refurbished one through the Genius Bar that the applications I paid for will be able to be downloaded for free to the replacement iPod. My question is, if I somehow get a replacement with the previous OS version (not 3.0), will I be able to re-download that without paying $10 again?
I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I tried doing several searches, but it's hard to choose the right keywords to find exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks very much.
Also is there a time limit on being able to re-download paid applications for free? Theoretically 20 years from now (just go with me here), and I'm on my 10th iPod Touch version, will I still be able to download all my paid apps without having to pay multiple times? Thanks!
I really wish Apple made these policies clearer. I tried emailing support with the simple question and they said it wasn't their department and directed me to call Apple. Seems silly to have to call for a simple question like this. And I couldn't find an FAQ regarding iTunes purchases.

When you buy 3.0 the installation file gets loaded onto your computer, so you shouldn't ever have to re-download it. You can install it on as many other Touch's you own (refurbished or otherwise).
As for your other questions about Apps, those are copied back to your computer each time you re-sync. So again, there should be no reason to have to re-download these files.
However, if you experience data loss (computer theft or damage) you may be able to convince Apple to let you re-download any paid-for OS and Apps, but that depends on who you talk to and how sweet your disposition is

I had that same problem, I used a gift card (all of it), and when I tried to use the AppStore it wouldn't let me, I tried calling apple support and iTunes support, but they did not help. The way I resolved my problem is I went to the grocery store and bought a visa debit gift card, with $1.00 balance on it and put that info on my billing settings when they asked me to update it or change it or whatever, and it worked perfectly, that may be the ONLY way for your problem to be resolved, and it's a confirmed answer, since I have done it myself, if you don't do that, you will never be able to download free apps, receive and download gifted apps, or even UPDATE an app, it ***** I know, I went through exactly what you did, and if you do what I did, you'll be able to use the AppStore again! You need to restore the iPod on the new computer. You can only sync apps (and some other stuff) from different computers/libraries but you can manage music and some other stuff among different computers/libraries.
