WF-BTACH user locked in the Producation

Hi Experts,
In producation, wf-batch user locked due to some reasons for two days. Now we unlocked the user and all workflow's are working fine.
But the problem is, there are some 200 workflow's are triggered on the same two days. Most of those workflow's are hanged. All the background tasks in workflow's are having the status as 'Ready'.
We are not able fix this using transaction SWPR - continue workflow after error and SWPC. Because those are workflow's are listed in the above transaction.
Is there any way to restart those workflow's? there is no error in the workflow. Its just hanging in the middle.
Kindly help me on this.

Hello Nandini !
You have stated that background tasks are in "READY" state.Check in the workflow log whether all the parameters are populated properly for those background tasks.If not, check any exceptions are thrown.The exception message should state why the background task is not in "COMPLETED" status.
Ensure why container values are not populated for those background tasks and enter the appropriate values to those containers in workflow log and execute the workflow from SWPR.

I assume that the problem is now solved but for future reference best to assign more users as TDMS_GUEST or TDMS_MIGRATION_LEAD to avoid this.
Very strange what happened on your package but ok, you found a suitable solution although you unlocked now also locked users which should perhaps remained locked.

User lock persists for killed process

Hi,
We have an app that acquires a user lock (using dbms_lock, release_on_commit FALSE).
We needed to kill a session but it remained in v$session (KILLED), even after killing the OS process. Fine, I know it will clear up eventually.
But the user lock (UL) persists. Does anyone know how it can be force-released?
Calling dbms_lock.release (using handle in v$lock) fails, even as user SYS, the error being that the user does not own the lock. But the owning session is killed so who can release it?
Eventually the session (and lock) disappers from v$session/v$lock but can the lock be removed before then, to avoid a DB bounce in an urgent case?

If the process was truely KILLED and not MARKED FOR KILL then I do not know what could of happened. I cannot remember Oracle ever failing to release a user lock when the acquiring session was terminated. We use a fair number of UL; however, few of our processes have concurrent sessions that attempt to use the same UL. Mostly we just ensure that batch processes do not get submitted twice and that some on demand processes run single threaded or do not run if another customer has submitted the task.

Unfortunately the situation as we understand it is that Apple will unlock phones locked by the original owner if they themselves provide proof of purchase. They will not unlock it at all for a subsequent owner who has bought it second-hand, however legitimately.
The auction house have sold you an item which is not working as described and your argument is with them. They must take it back and refund your money. If as you imply the previous owner is absolutely not available then this phone is permanently unusable and there is no way whatever round that.

ITunes locks up when trying to log another user out of the store.

Thanks for the response. Following the instructions in that article produces the following information. Very close to what is described in the article but the names differ (IPv6 vs. IP) and a total of eight rather than 10 values. I can't see any LSP interfering with this . . .
I've updated my Norton AntiVirus without effect. Interestingly the firewall "inbound rules" shows one for iTunes even when the connectivity test fails. If I delete the existing and create a new rule it will work only until I try to log out the current user. Then the party is over.
Any other ideas?

On screen lock screen, the keyboard does not work, switching to the switch-user screen the keyboard works again

Mac OS-X 10.7.5, Mac Air.
This began about 5 to 7 days ago.
Steps to reproduce:
Step 1:
Close the lid, or the system 'powers down', or goes to the screen saver mode.
Step 2:
Open the lid, press the power button, or what ever to wake up the Mac Air
The "Enter your password" screen is presented.
They keyboard is not responsive, I cannot type anything.
The touch pad works, I can power on/off the machine.
They keyboard is not functional.
Result: I cannot log in again.
Expected behavior: The keyboard should be working I should be able to unlock the screen.
Workarounds:
Then click on my name, or any other user of the machine and it works fine.
I can now unlock the screen and return to where I was.
Expected behavior:
I should not have to go to the "Switch User Screen" to log back in.

More detail: Some keys on the keyboard do work, ie: caps lock toggles the led, and the function keys across the top seem to work {that is I can adjust brightness, and so forth}
the letter and numbers, and perhap others do not work.

Can I enable the root user account from the log in screen when I am locked out of the machine?

Hello everyone,
I am working on my friends mac to get it ready to sell. I went into the advanced options of the user and changed the name of the account. That's all I changed. I did read the warning that said if anything was changed it could cause damage, that's why I only changed the name of the user account. I didn't want to mess with anything else. Well, needless to say, I am locked out of the machine. Apparently the root user, system administrator, account was not enabled and I am stuck at the screen that I can get to with my installation disc. So how can I enable the root user account and get back onto the machine from the screen I am at? Can I enable the root user from terminal? I spent a good 8 hours yesterday researching this topic and have come up empty. Changing passwords from commands in terminal is not the problem. I am given just one account to choose from to log on and it's not accepting the password because of the changes I made in the advanced options menu.
Is there any hope of getting this thing going again? Or have I just screwed myself over?

How we can lock No more than one user can use the table at a single time

Hi Abapers,
0) which function modules to lock & unlock a table.
1) When you execute the program, we can check if there is any lock on this table. If yes, the user should be able to only view the table contents and not modify.
2) If there is no lock, then lock the table and go into change mode.
3) On exiting from the program, unlock the table using the function module.
4) more than one user can't modify the table just display.
Note: If there is any lock, display message saying table is locked.
Plz help me for this requirement.

 data. Requests for further shared locks are accepted, even if they
 are issued by different users, but exclusive locks are rejected.
 Exclusive but not cumulative lock
 Exclusive locks can be requested by the same transaction more than

 lock can only be requested once by a given transaction. All other
 lock requests are rejected.
If you want to lock a standard table search whether the table is used in lock objects (Where-Used-List). If it is a customer table you have to create your own lock object (including two function modules: one for enqueuing and the other for dequeuing).
The lock modules can be found in menu GoTo -> Lock Modules.
Given these lock modules the logic should be quite clear after starting the program:
1. Request lock -> if successful, continue in Change mode; -> if failed, continue in Display mode
2. Before leaving the report remove lock (note: no problem if no lock has been set in the beginning).

Quotation locked by the user

Hi,
I have one quotation in R/3 which when i open in change mode always shows that quotation is locked by the user so and so. That user actually defined as RFC user for communication between R/3 to CRM. Can anybody guide me how delete the lock of that user.

Materials are locked by the own user (XIUSER)

We are facing som problems with an Interface for billing.
We are using en XI interface for billing, we are using parallel processing, bye the volume (from 25,000 to 30,000 invoices during night) is not possible to use simple processing.
The process starts with Sales Order creation, Delivery, and Billing, but sometimes at the time for the Billing, the system sends error M3024 'Valuation data for material & is locked by the user XISERVER' . I hope that any of you can help me, I'm new on XI and this problem starts to be critical.

As already commented, the error occurs because some other work process is accessing the same data and then it cannot be accessed.
That needs to be corrected by using ENQUEUE/DEQUEUE techniques in the abap coding of the interface.
But even if some of the entries error out, if the execution is asynchronous they will be automatically persisted and sent again.

Batch lock of the material by user

Hi,
   The scenerio is-
         User1 is doing the following transaction-Create stock transport PO fora material (plant 1000 to plant 1100) - Create outbound delivery VL10B(Goods issue is also done- and he is in the screen MIGO(goods receipt in plant 1100 against outbound delivery for which goods issue is done.Automatic batch determination is activated and the batch is determined by FEFO method.
         User2 is creating a sale order for the same material from plant 2000.Subsequently, delivery is created and batch is determined and also the batch determined is the same as that of the previous one.
        Now both are in the same screen.When the user2 is trying to do PGI the system is giving error message the batch of the material is locked by the user but the interesting this if it is viceversa ie with the user2 in the delivery screen and the user1 is trying to take goods receipt in plant 1100,the system is allowing to take the goods receipt of the material.
       I also tried the following change in configuration-SPR0->Materials Management->General Settings for Materials Management->Set material block for goods movements.
      I changed from lock exclusively to late lock but the system is still not allowing in the above mentioned scenerio.
      Can any one tell why it is so and what is to be to rectify the same.

Check please if Late Lock is configurated.
If you still having the problem, please check note

If you decide implement this note, please check your 'Z' programs that call many module functions or updates to tables in order to have the 'COMMIT & WAIT' necesary (this note could be cause of incorrect update of characteristics in batch if you already have perfomance issues in your server or poor time response of this 'Z'programs).
