Wf installation/monitor configuration

Hi,
Workflow server 2.6.3 installed from 10G (10.1.0.2.0 Oracle server)CD that doesn't have middle-tier on it into <SERVER_HOME>. 9.0.4 HTTP Oracle server standalone installed from it's own CD into <HTTP_HOME> per note 265554.1.
What the location of workflow .jar files should be in this case - should I keep them under <SERVER_HOME>\jlib and point /OA_JAVA/ there or copy them somewhere under <HTTP_HOME> and point /OA_JAVA/ accordingly? Neither option worked for me so far with oracle.apps.fnd.wf.Monitor class not found message when trying to display a workflow process diagram.
Please advise.
Thank you.
Anatoliy

" Thanks, Richard, I tried that. You had more luck, I guess.
I put
Alias /OA_JAVA/ "D:\oracle\oas904\jlib/"
where D:\oracle\oas904 is my middle tier home, wfmon.jar file (and others) in place but I still have
oracle.apps.fnd.wf.Monitor not found.
Let me ask you -
1. which platform do you have?
2. where did you install middle tier from - I installed it from "OracleAS HTTP Server v9.0.4
Oracle HTTP Server Standalone" and it's been working fine except this wf diagram case?
Thanks,
Anatoliy"
I installed Workflow Server 2.6.3 on 10g. HTTP Server standalone, same as you. Two different platforms: Win XP Pro and Fedora Core 2. I only had the issues on the Linux installation. However, I noticed that I still have issues when using IE. Try to use Firefox and see what happens. And you did restart the HTTP Server, right?

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager Agent deployment (Installation and Configuration) Error

    Hello,
    I am trying to create an agent on a linux server using Oracle Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.3. The user is created with root privilege on the server, by change /etc/sudoers entry username the same as the root entry. After that I tried to add host target by clicking Setup->Add Target->Add target Manually->Add Host Targets in the Oracle Enterprise Manager.
    In the Add Target view: I clicked on add, then I entry host and platform information. After that I click next. Then I provided the Linux x86-64 : Installation Details for
    Installation Base Directory, Instance Directory, Name Credential ... then click next. then click Deploy Agent.
    In the Add Host Status view: stages Initialization and Remote Prerequisite Check successfully passed, but in the stage Agent Deployment, it failed in the Installation and Configuration phrase of the Agent Deployment stage.
    The log content is shown below. There are numerous SEVERE Errors. But I don't have much experience in dealing with these type of problems. I thank you in advance for all the helps.

       Hello AkankshaSheoranKaler
    We have done the following, but we aren't able to resolve this issue. Thank you for your help!
    lf
    “This  happen if the software library is not accessible, readable or unmounted (if it is in shared file system).”
    On Enterprise Manager server [nsn175-105], we did the following:
    1. we modified /etc/exports to include this line: /export *(rw,no_root_squash,sync)
    we start nfs service by executing command “service nfs start”.
    On Management Agent server (nsn175-89), we verified that we are able to mount /export directory of EM server.
    On Management Agent server, we started firefox browser and were able to run successfully https://nsn175-105.us.oracle.com:4904/empbs/genwallet
    After making this change, we ran agent deployment again. We encountered the same error as shown above.
    “You can fix the software library or you can download the agent bits in offline mode.”
    For fixing the software library, select Setup->Provision and Patching->Offline Patching, then select Offline Patching radio button, download: https://updates.oracle.com/download/em_catalog.zip. Next upload this zip file.
    “Try downloading the bits again”
    We are not sure what agent bits are. Would you please explain this and provide procedure how we can download this?
    (Here I have attempted to fix the software library, but I am new to Enterprise Manager and not sure how to interpret this).

  • CCMS Alert Monitor (edit monitor-configuration.xml. ?)

    Hi Friends
    I'm trying to change the default polling time for the CCMS Alert Monitor, 5 minutes instead of 30 minutes.
    In http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/e5/5d1741b393f26fe10000000a1550b0/content.htm you can read:
    Accuracy
    The default polling period for the monitor is 30 minutes. If you want to have shorter polling periods, you can change them in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator as follows:
    1. Choose Availability and Performance Management ® Resource Monitoring ® Java System Reports (alias: /nwa/java-sys-reports).
    2. Select an arbitrary Number of errors entry in the monitoring tree of the Adapter Engine (leaf node).
    3. Choose Configuration in the right-hand pane.
    4. Choose Edit in the dialog box that appears.
    5. Change the polling period to 5 minutes, for instance.
    6. Choose Save and wait until saving is finished (be patient, since this may take a while).
    7. Choose Configuration Management ® Infrastructure Management ® Java Configuration Browser.
    8. Choose apps ® sap.com ® com.sap.aii.af.app ® Monitoring Configurator ® monitor-configuration.xml.
    9. In the xml file, change the polled-by-template period to the same value as above, for example, 5 minutes.
    10. Save the modified xml file.
    11. Choose Operations Management ® Infrastructure Management ® Start & Stop ® Java EE Services to restart the Monitoring service to apply the changes.
    But in step 9, the xml file I've found in my PI 7.1 (SP6) is this:
    <monitor-configuration>
    <monitor-semantics />
    <monitor-tree />
    </monitor-configuration>
    Also, there is no way to modify that file, you can only display it or download it.
    can anyone tell me how to edit the file.
    regards
    raja

    Hi Raja,
    This is the same as doing the following:
    You can locate the monitor-configuration.xml file in the SDA com.sap.aii.af.app.sda (inside META-INF folder). You can find this SDA in the install directory of PI installation. In this XML file please locate and edit the following tag:
    <template-info template-name="SAP_XIJ2EE_RCRDS">
                            <polled-by-template period="30" unit="MINUTE">
                                <generating-resource
                                    name="com.sap.aii.utilxi.rtcheck.mx.standard.XIJ2EEComponentMBean" type="APPLICATION"/>
                                <template-attribute-mapping>
                                    <invoked-resource-method name="getMonitoringRecords"/>
                                </template-attribute-mapping>
                            </polled-by-template>
                        </template-info>
    Change the above to the following *************
    <template-info template-name="SAP_XIJ2EE_RCRDS">
                            <polled-by-template period="5" unit="MINUTE">
                                <generating-resource
                                    name="com.sap.aii.utilxi.rtcheck.mx.standard.XIJ2EEComponentMBean" type="APPLICATION"/>
                                <template-attribute-mapping>
                                    <invoked-resource-method name="getMonitoringRecords"/>
                                </template-attribute-mapping>
                            </polled-by-template>
                        </template-info>
    The main change is the polled-by-template value from 30 mins to 5 mins as per your req ******
    Construct back the SDA (you can search SDN for that) with this edited XML and then redeploy this SDA with the help of JSPM tool.
    This will re-start the PI Server for the changes to come into effect.
    I hope this helps.
    PS: You can consult your BASIS consultant to locate this sda and re-deploy it on PI Server.
    Regards, Gaurav.

  • Monitoring configuration - timeout

    Hi. I hope that someone can help !
    I have an OEM 10g Grid Control central installation with a firewall between it an a new remote agent (running Midtier/Infra). The firewall between the sites only allows https and the new remote OEM agent has been installed and can be seen from oem. However when I try and change the 'monitoring configuration' for the servers 'targets' list it timesout.
    This must relate to http/https - is thgere anyway that I can change the monitoring info ?
    Thx if you can help.

    For example, when you configure Database Instance target you must have connection to target host by listener port (default 1521).
    So you may just see on firewall logs to see what ports blocked by it when you trying configure Mtier/Infra target server.
    To correct monitoring not only http/https connection from OEM to Target Agent needed.

    I am using Oracle 10g. Can any one please help me on thsi installation.
    Already I gone through the installation document but I didn't understand how to configure.
    If anyone having installation and Configuring Screen shots please send me to my mail

    This is very urgent I need to give presentation on the EIS
    Thanks in Advance for your help
    Awaiting for your quick Response

    I'm not sure what version of software you are looking to install, but for 9.3.1, we just installed our application server (Weblogic), installed Shared Services, supplied the database info and we were good to go. I do believe; however, your mileage will vary depending on the application server you use as some of them have an option for 'automatic' installation and some are manual. (I went the 'automatic' route) You will need to refer to the installation documentation for all of the relevant details, though.

  • What is BDI or BDS spelled out? Jabber for Mac 9.2(1) Installation and Configuration Guide

    I’m spending the day catching up on Jabber/IM&P release notes across the server/clients.
    So I’m used to EDI and UDS, but we have a new acronym in the Jabber for Mac 9.2(1) Installation and Configuration Guide called BDI and BDS. However they don’t define what BDI stands for other than BDI is LDAP for non-windows
    Clients and suggests it should be used for Jabber for Mac.
    What is BDI or BDS spelled out? Something directory integration, but what is the B ?
    Then to add to the mix they reference BDS which sounds like the old UDS (is UDS changing to BDS?)
    How can Jabber get any more confusing…
    I also noted in the  Jabber Video for iPad 9.3.4 release notes that Apple is removing the Always Connect option in the near future. Manually launching Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client before making a call. This is going to upset some customers who like how Lync uses https and just works from anywhere with enhanced directory integration…

    Basic Directory Integration. It's not new, we had it in the Windows clients as far back as CUPC. The distinction got introduced when EDI was introduced, relying on Windows ADSI APIs instead of the client making a native LDAP bind.
    To my knowledge BDI/BDS are the same thing; I'm guessing S is 'service'. UDS remains unchanged.
    I also noted in the  Jabber Video for iPad 9.3.4 release notes that Apple is removing the Always Connect option in the near future.
    Well, they lost a patent infringement lawsuit and chose to change the functionality instead of pay the troll. That's not Jabber's fault. Collaboration Edge will be the way to avoid this in the near future.

    Adminstudio 2012 that comes with ZENworks at the moment doesn't support Windows 8.1. I will ask Novell when they will be updating Adminstudio to the latest release that supports 8.1.

  • Exch 2013 Installation and configuration from a SBS point of view?

    I was just wondering if anyone has stumbled upon any good "how-to" sites for those of us that (up to now) have been used to using SBS servers but now find ourselves needing to go the manual route with separate new servers (domain controller and
    Exchange 2013 server)?
    I'm trudging along with my first Server 2012 R2 and Exchange 2013 SP1 installation and configuration, but since I'm used to things configuring themselves in SBS, the piecemeal approach to 2013 is presenting challenges for me.
    Considering the market for SBS is small business (and for me, typical 20 users), I'm looking for some direction and help in configuring these new servers to act like SBS 2011 replacement servers, with similar capabilites, etc...from the viewpoint of an SBS
    administrator, per se.
    Maybe nothing exists and we have to start from scratch, but I was hoping with as big as the SBS market was, there would be some useful info out there with the realization that we're coming from SBS.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    It seems you have installed the Exchange Server and preparing to move mailboxes to the new host. You can check the application log to check whether the new installed Exchange works
    fine.
    If there are any error ID/reports, you can post them here for our referernce.
    Thanks,

  • Hyperion 11.1.1.3 Installation and Configuration on a Distributed Environ:

    Hi All,
    We have Only Hyperion Production Servers on a Distributed Environment. Now, we are thinking to create new instance that will be called Development Environment and that must be replica or mirror of Prod Environment. For that we cloned Production Servers.
    Since we have all four servers Cloned for Development Environment now I need to Configure those all four instances.....I never worked with installations and configurations ...I do have knowledge and little experience with single tier or one system installation and configuration but distributed environment....I need your support and guideline to configure these boxes...
    Our Distributed Environment lay out is as follows:-
    We have installed Hyperion on Windows Server 2003 and Database is SQL Server
    (1) We have Four Servers
    (a) SQL, which Contains these services EPMA, and IIS Admin Service, World Wide Publishing Services, Hyperion Calc Manager-Web Application,
    Hyperion EPMA (.Net JNI Bridge, Engine Manager, Event Manager, Job Manager, Process Manager, Web Application, and Data Syn-WebApplication)
    (b) Essbase Server Contains these services Hyp ERP Integrator-Web Application, Hyp Essbase Services, Hyp financial Data Quality Management-
    Task Manager
    (c) Planning Server contains these Services Hyp Financial Reporting-Web Application, Hyperion Planning-Web Application, Hyp RMI Registry,
    Hyp Web Analysis-Web Application
    (d) Workspace Server Contains these services Hyp Finacial Reporting (Java RMI Registy, Print Server, Report Server, Scheduler Server), Hyp Foundatio
    OpenLDAP, Hyp foundation shared services-web application, Hyp Provider Services - web application, Hyp Workspace (agent service and web application)
    (2) Now my question is which server needs to be configured 1st then next and next and what things or steps i need to follow for configuration that works fine?
    I know I can run EPMA configure tool for each system from Stat>All program>Oracle EPMA>EPMA Configuration> and then select tool to run.....But I am bit confused that which one go 1st and then next.
    Please give your few words for this so that I can start configure the system....
    I hoping for positive feedback...
    Thanks in Advance.

    We have roughly 8 servers in our distributed prod environment. We are using red linux for everything but the epma and report server which you need a windows server. The way we installed was to start with the base server with Shared services and establish that one and whatever else you want on that server. From there it really didnt matter as you go through the installs it will ask you where your shared services box is located. The only problem we had was that some of our boxes are behind a WHI cage where we had to open up ports. Other then that i really didnt follow a specific sequence of installation after shared services. Hope that helps.

  • EAS Startup issue after OEPM 11 Installation and Configuration

    Hi All,
    EAS server is not starting up after the successfull installation and configuration of OEPM 11.1.1.2
    Provider Services and Shared Services started fine and i was able to login to Shared Services console
    During eas startup individually from the startup script i see this catalina.out file with some errors..
    By this i understand that there is some problem in selecting the required JRE as i see both JRE and JRE-64 under the
    common folder. Anybody has come across this issue while startup of EAS 11.1.1.2
    Any help would be accepted...

    Hi,
    1. I assume your system is 64 bit.
    2. I think you are installing the 64 bit application. In that case you would get both the folders i.e JRE and JRE-64.
    3. Seconldy, I would like to set the permissions of the folders to everyone and give full control and test again. ( to do this, right cick ->security ->add 'everyone' -> give him full control and test).

  • InDesign Server Installation and Configuration Guide

    Hi everybody
    I try to ask one silly Q.
    Where can I get this document.
    I found many references but no link :(

    There is no document titled "InDesign Server Installation and Configuration Guide". This was an error in the CS2 version of Introduction to InDesign Server.
    You'll find the CS2 version of Introduction to InDesign Server in the InDesign Server CS2 ESD (the server download bundle). Even better you'll find the CS3 version in the InDesign CS3 Server SDK. Available at the following URL:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/indesign/
    The information about Java/CORBA is specific to CS3, but the information about scripting and SOAP applies to CS2.
    Let me know if that helps, or you still need something else.

    Yes, you do need 4GB of swap, but just to not scare anyone off, the installer won't actually use that much memory.
    It needs that amount of backing store because during the install, there are several large Java processes forking other Java processes.
    I've installed on systems with small memory configs just fine-- crank up the swap to 4GB+ during the install, then get rid of the swap after the install. The install will probably use some of that swap, and because of this may take quite a while to complete, but it will complete just fine.
    Hope that helps,
    - Matt
