WGBH HD schedule off by half hour

I noticed that on the HD channel of WGBH (channel 502), on every Thursday, the listings are one half-hour early. And this is only on the HD channel, the SD channel is normal. Is anyone else from Boston noticing this?

Hey we do apologize for the inconvenience but the channel provider controls the information we display for the channel.

  • NHK schedule off by 1 hour?

Looks like someone goofed up the US time change.
HNK seems to be off by an hour making DVR series recording pretty worthless.
The correct schedule can be found at:
       http://www.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/english/tv/schedule/index.html
Not sure why Verizon has such a hard time getting thing right.

Don't hold your breath.  According to some of my other contacts, FiOS is fully aware of the problem and just
can't seem to get it fixed.  My guess is that it's probably incompetence at TV Guide (no wonder).
In the meantime we'll just have to sit and wonder why were paying monthly for a DVR
that doesn't know what's on when....
(Just out of geek curiousity can anyone explain the technical process of programming
information as it goes from content provider (in this case NHK) to my STB?)

  • Wifi keeps going off every half hour on ipad 3. I have two with the exact same settings but one keeps doing this .help .

Can anyone solve this problem is the ipad faulty if it does this

If that iPad has trouble on other networks then it may have a hardware problem.
If it is OK on other networks then look at your network more closely it may have a firmware or a configuration problem.

  • Scheduling scenarios for every half hour in ODI 11g

    Hi,
    I am using ODI 11g.
My requirement is to execute a scenario after every half hour.
I can just see that scenarios can be scheduled on hourly basis only.
Please guide me how can i schedule scenarios on half hourly basis also.
    Thanks,
    Divya

    Hi Divya,
Open your scheduling and go to Execution Cycle tab and Under Repetition select "Many Times", then set "Interval Between Repetitions " as 30 minutes or so.

  • Schedule report at every half hour interval from 5:30 AM to 5:00 PM

    Hi,
We use BOXIR2 and our client has requested to schedule a RealTime Webi report at every half hour interval from 5:30 AM PST to 5:00 PM PST daily.
We tried scheduling the report but there is no option present in BO where we can select the start time or end time for a day.
Could you please let us know how we can achieve this?
    Thanks,
    Nikhil

    Hi Ashwini,
I believe its not a good idea to set the date daily. After a lot of research on this, I found that there are 2 possible solutions for this.
    1. Create 24 daily schedule for the report(s).
                 i.e.
                  1.     daily 8 am
                  2.     daily 8:30 am
                  3.     daily 9 am
                  4.     u2026
                  24.                daily 5 pm
    2. Create a batch file that will craete a file and delete it after 10 secs. Upload that into Windows scheduler as it will run this batch file at every half hour and till 5PM only. The file  created by batch file will be trigger to run report.
    Does that sound good?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Nikhil

  • Lost connection a half hour ago, still off

Sky fibre connection went down about a half-hour ago and is still down. The lan 2 light on the BT Openreach box and the Internet light on the Sky router are both off, all other lights on.
The Sky help number is permanently engaged. Anyone have any thoughts on what might be the issue?

  • Clock half-hour off

    Hi...
This morning I've noticed my clock is 30 minutes ahead of real time. Checked the date & time preferences, and the time zone is correct. Changed it, and it was still off by a half-hour. Repaired permissions, ran MacJanitor, restarted...still a half-hour off.
    Anyone got any suggestions?
    TIA,
    Paul

Well, I figured out the problem... it was my local TV station (NBC affiliate)! Somehow, between 6 am & 7:45 when I noticed the problem, they "hiccuped" and lost a half-hour, between their local broadcast and their broadcast of the Today Show.
Turned on the tv a little before 6am and all was timely; however, between being on my computer and watching tv, I didn't notice the tv problem. Checked my in-home clocks, and all were 1/2 hour ahead of the tv! Even my watch! So, I'm a half-hour late for work, and my computer was right.
No problem after all, except for those who abide by tv-time. Sheesh.
Happy Holidays to all, and to all, a good morning! (Thanks, Mike)

  • Scheduled Fax - Time off by one hour

If I schedule a fax job on a remote computer and select "Send at" via the scheduler drop-down, it behaves differently in Tiger (10.4.6) than in Panther (10.3.9).
In Panther, it works as I would expect. The default time is the current time, and when you schedule the job, the remote system has the same time as you set.
In Tiger, the default time that comes up is 6:00PM , and when you change this time and schedule the job, the remote computer schedules it for one hour ahead of your time.
I have verified that the time zone settings are the same on all computers, and it does the same whether the shared fax is on a Tiger system or a Panther system.

  • 1st ical sync with iphone...all events off by 2 hours

Why? All ical events got transferred to my iphone but the time is off by 2 hours...all iphone events are showing up 2 hours later than when I originally scheduled them in my iMac ical program (the ical events on my iMac are still displaying at the correct time)
Also, on my iphone, my 5 different ical calendars all synced, and all have a different color next to them, but the colors do not match the colors for the calendars created in ical on my iMac (ex: I created my dissertation calendar in red on my iMac but it shows up as orange on my iphone; I created my travel calendar in green on my iMac but it shows up as blue on my iphone, etc).
Does anyone know why this happened and how to correct?
    Thanks!

Hey that worked! I was unaware of that setting on my iphone. Actually, I left time zone support turned on, but set the time zone for Denver (I'm on mountain time) instead of the Washington, DC zone it was set for.
As far as the colors being off, we'll see if anyone else comes along with an idea for that one. (Too bad there's no setting to turn on for "keep the calendar colors the same!")
    In the meantime, THANKS!

  • Calendar sync time off by one hour

When I sync my BB Curve 8530, version 5.0, by Verizon with Outlook 2007 calendar, the appointment time is off by one hour.  The BB Curve always shows the appt time one hour later than Outlook.  When I schedule an all day event, it begins at 1 am and carries over to the next day at 1 am.  I've verified time zone settings for both.  Not sure what else to do or check.  Any advice is greatly appreciated so I won't be late again!!!

  • Calculating Elapsed Time Is Off By One Hour

I am fully aware of many topics discussed in the various forums here related to the OS timezone and DST settings impacting how the JVM will process date/time calculations. I am running on Windows XP Professional, and I have checked and double checked the timezone setting, it is correctly set to Central Time and the "Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes" checkbox is checked.
The code found at the end of this message clearly shows the problem for which I have yet to find an explination. I intended to be able to use a timer to update a string to show how much time has elapsed since the start of anything for which I need to know this information. As you can see by the results (example of which is listed after the code), the timezone and DST offsets seem to be properly retrieved by the JVM, but if this is the case, then why is the elapsed time value off by one hour?
I am looking for a solution/explanation involving the date/time classes, not a workaround whereby I end up extracting multiple time representation subsets and manipulating them myself. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Great. Now that we have gotten half way to the goal, please let me know how you intend to get that difference in miliseconds presented as a time value using any of the date/time classes Java has to offer. That way, I don't have to rewrite the code that puts it into a properly formatted String (the kind folks at Sun have already written that code). Using date/time classes to acheive this is what I attempted with my application. I added the milisecond adjustments for TZ and DST because if I didn't the reported elapsed time would be off by 6 hours, not just 1.
I am open to all suggestions.

  • Mythtv guide off by some hours

I'm using schdulesdirect for my listings
"date" returns the correct time and date
my timezone is set correctly in rc.conf as "America/New_York"
    hardwareclock="localtime"
I have refreshed my database i think, i changed it to nothing and then changed it back and reran mythfilldatabase and it redownloaded everything.
"Your local timezone (for XMLTV)" is set to "Auto"
Yet, the program guide is off by 3 hours (interestingly it was off by 4 and a half when i first filled the database but was down to 3 before i tried to refresh the database.).
edit: forgot to mension that mythfrontend shows the correct time on the menu screen.

  • Having problems doing an iCloud backup it keeps showing the estimated time thing but the blue load bar hasn't budged in over a half hour is there a way to correct this

Having problems doing an iCloud backup it keeps showing the estimated time thing but the blue load bar hasn't budged in over a half hour is there a way to correct this

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
First check that your device is correctly connected to the wifi/internet (settings > wifi)
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

  • Is it common for the phone to to discharge in 3 and half hours and hardly used?

Is it a common problem for the phone to run the battery completely dead in 3 and half hours.  Screen went black and unresponsive.  It charged for about 8 hours today. Any one else had this problem.

Hi.  I bought a new iphone 5 four days ago and was horrified that it discharged in less than a day with one phone call and a bit of facebook browsing.  I then read up all the info and tips on the web.  I turned off everything that wasn't necessary - mainly in location services, turned e-mails to fetch and not push. Also turned off i cloud so it will only back up when I tell it to.  Battery still drained very quickly.  I then plugged into itunes and did a whole restore (always had to do this previously for any software update before icloud!).  That was yesterday morning at about ten o'clock.  Phone was then at 100 percent.  Have used it yesterday quite a bit, didn't charge it overnight and it is now at 63% so I think that has solved the problem.  One other thing I noticed was that the shop set the default e-mail to I cloud and I always had the default set to my main e-mail account.  On completely restoring it has now put the default e-mail to mine.  Don't know if there is any connection or not.  All I can say is that the complete restore seems to have solved the problem.  Hope it works!
