SAP Document Management System.
I want to warehouse research and academic papers and expose it to the university community through SAP Enterprise Portal. How do I go about this?

Do I need a special access to this interresting "New video and working papers" ?

Universal Apps and Push Notifications (Question on both Store and Phone app)

I have a Universal App and trying to implement notifications. I have an Azure Notification Hub and the code in the app.xaml.cs (shared) file that is creating the channel and binding to my notification hub. This all works great for the Windows Store app.
However, I don't receive any notifications on the Phone app (running in the emulator). I am wondering if this is because the code to create the PushNotificationChannel is only registering once (the Store app) and has the same URI as the phone app. This line
of code is what I am referring to:
var channel = await PushNotificationChannelManager.CreatePushNotificationChannelForApplicationAsync();
Since this is by application, and I am essentially running the same app twice on the same machine, via the phone emulator, is only one URI being generated for this?

When you created the push notifications in the Azure, you chose the code fr Windows Store, not Windows Phone. as you mentioned you having a universal apps.
Hint: Did you enabled push notifications for local testing ?

IPod with Universal Dock and Logitech Harmony 880 Remote

Is anyone successfully using their iPod with Universal Dock and the Logitech Harmony 880 remote? Does it need to be trained or does can you use the logitech software to program the remote?

You can program the 880 to work with the Universal Dock with just the logitech software. Just add a Digital Music Server and when asked what Model it is enter "iPod Universal Dock". That's it. For some reason Logitech tech support says it can't be done but me and and a couple of friends have done it without any issues.

Mini with new universal dock and IR remote

I just got a new universal dock and IR remote for use with a Mini. It seems like the only controls on the remote that work are Next, Prev, and Play/Pause. Neither of the Volume buttons or the Menu button do anything. Is this normal? Is there any advanced information available for the new IR remote and dock (the manuals aren't very helpful)?

The description would make you think otherwise...
"Control your iPod from afar. Play, pause, control volume and skip forward and back between songs from across the room with the Apple Remote."
It goes on to say that the Menu button is for use with the Mac.
"When you click the Apple Remote's Menu button, your desktop fades and Front Row's sleek interface takes its place to give you control over your music in iTunes, your photos in iPhoto, the videos in your Movies folder and whatever DVDs you want to play."

Apple iPod Universal Dock And Remote

So If I have the Apple iPod Universal Dock and the Apple Remote And a iPod nano do I have front row?

So in case anyone at Apple is paying attention:
1) Offer a package of the Apple Remote, a USB receiver for it, and Front Row together as a bundle for existing Mac users. It is a perfect fit for the Mac mini sitting in my stereo cabinet connected to my TV.
2) Assuming that Photobooth only works with an iSight camera, then why not offer it as a free download for all customers who already have iSights? Presumably it wouldn't do anyone without an iSight any good - right? It should then be packaged with all iSights as a standard part of the package.
If you can't do (1), then at least issue an update to Tiger (10.4.3 for example) that includes Front Row built in with the ability to drive it from a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse? Then offer the Apple Remote with a USB receiver later...
It's so obvious I can't believe it wasn't done today...

Ipod Classic 80gb won´t work with apple universal dock and remote

I own 2 ipods a 5th generation 60gb and an ipod classic 60gb. I've just bought an apple universal dock with remote and the original apple component and composite AV cables. I connected the universal dock to my TV via the composite cable, with my ipod 5th gen I can watch videos on the TV and control the ipod with the apple remote but when I connect my ipod classic to the universal dock it will charge but I can´t get any video out or control the ipod with the remote. It's as if the ipod classic doesn't recognize the universal dock and it keeps showing the connect the video accessory screen, even when i tried using the apple component AV cable. I dont think the problem is with the universal dock because it works fine with my Ipod video 60gb, but with my Ipod Classic 80gb the remote control and video out won't work at all, i can´t even control the playback of audio playlists. Does anyone know why that is happenning? Please help me!

I have the Classic 80gb also...same probem. I retuned the Apple Universal Dock and purchased one that was half the price. Pluged it in and it works perfectly! So my advice would be to save some money and get products that work.

Volume control problem with 30GB iPod 3G, Universal Dock, and Apple Remote

I just hooked up my 30GB iPod 3G to the Universal Doc and tried the my new Apple remote. The only buttons on the remote that work in controlling my iPod while on the dock are the play/pause and the skip forward and back buttons.
For some reason the volume up and down buttons don't adjust the volume on my iPod while it's on the dock. Any ideas? Shouldn't the volume up and down work? Or do they only work on the newer iPods?
Any info appreciated.

Thanks for your response. No the iPod doesn't respond at all--the volume display doesn't come up or change.
When I press the play/pause or either skip forward or back on the remote, the iPod, while on the dock, lights up and responds to the command as it should. But when I press volume up or down on the remote the iPod does not respond at all.
According to Apple's store info on the remote, the volume up/down controls should work. I am wondering if maybe it doesn't work with the 3Gs for some reason. But if that is the case, Apple should indicate that. It is kind of frustrating to not be able to adjust the volume.

Universal Dock and signals

This is a two part question (and pardon my lack of correct terminology):
1) I am planning to buy the newer universal dock and apple remote to hook up my Ipod to my stereo. When I do this, would the volume be totally controlled by my stereo (similar to all other components)?
2) Related to #1, is the signal that come out of the bottom connector of the Ipod line, variable, or amplified (maybe incorrect terminology)? My hope is that it is NOT amplified so it will provide the cleanest signal to my stereo possible.

To answer your question about number 2, the signal that comes out is not amplified. It is a clean signal that is not distorted or helped. This is different than the signal that come out of the headphone jack which has some amplification (obviously because of the headphones). I hope this helps. If you are wondering about distortion when being played on your stereo, I would use the dock or a signal that comes out of the base. In my untechnical opinion, this would be the better signal. Of course, I am not an electrical engineer, so any electrical engineers please correct me. I hope this helps.

Universal dock and sector adapter compatibility

Hi,
is someone aware of compatibility issues between Apple Universal Dock and Apple sector adapter (plugged in the wall)?
I have bought my dock in the US and my adapter is French. I cannot charge my iPod through the dock when it is plugged to the sector adapter. Works fine when I plug the dock to my computer through USB.
Is this normal (maybe the dock are not the same in all the countries) or does my dock have a problem?
(I had posted a somewhat similar question on the iPod touch forum but I guess that this one is more adapted).

I have exact the same issue with the Apple universal dock except it is with a "made for ipod" product.
If I connect to Ipod directly it charges.
If I connect to dock and put Ipod on the dock, no go.
Anybody have the same issue?
