What about face tracking for shockwave games?

I recently come across this video on youtube

and I start thinking that if we could implement something similar
for our shockwave games, the degree of realism and imersion would
increase rapidly. The blog of the person that did this is:

The sample application that he provides comes with an ocx which in
some machines will fail to register correctly (use a tool called
dependancy walker to look for any missing dll. Most of the dll are
located in the opencv bin directory.). After registering the ocx
succesfuully I tried to use it director but without success. I am
getting an error message the component fails to load. My best guess
is that the ocx misses a GUI. I think if someone can open the ocx
see whats wrong with it and fix it it will be a valuable addition
for the shockwave community. Any ideeas?

Do you have iMessage? I think as long as that person has iMessage you can use Face Time to call each other.

Be sure to install the latest version of Safari (version 5.1.7) which is available via Software Update (in the Apple menu) if you have not already installed it. This update will automatically disable older versions of Flash when new versions are available, and will instruct you on how to install the latest version on your system. This should help keep your system safe from any vulnerabilities in Flash.
Note that this is only useful if you use Safari, though other browsers have their own update mechanisms you should research and enable or configure to your liking.

Simple, what about new SW updates for Nokia 5530 users...

I mean a Software update whit new E-mail, New Gallery APP, and some other stuffs, I just wanna to see a integration of Symbian S60 5ED, for example Nokia C5-4 has tap to unlock, Nokia 5530 dind't, C6 has a better gallery and e-mail app, 5530 has a decent gallery app and **bleep** e-mail app (i don't support HTLM view by default), and why not, I want the widgets on homescreen (present in C6 and N97 series).
And from Symbian 3 I just wanna the menu and virtual keyboard layout (the Keyboard has been ported, but tha should be by default on a new SW update), that's not hardware related thing, that's software.

How can I find out what account was used for a Game Center ID?

I have multiple iPhones in my family. I have an Apple ID with a Game Center account.
My son also has a phone with a Game Center account.
I recently swapped phones around when I got the iPhone 4S. Also, we upgraded all of the phones in the house to iOS5.
I think as part of that process, all of the previous log in info was wiped.
Now, my son wants to log back in to his Game Center account, but we can't figure out what Apple ID we used?
I've tried the find my Apple ID links with no avail.
I know what his Game Center handle is... is there a way to track it via that ID?

If you want to use the notebook for gaming, I recommend purchasing one with an external graphic card. Mean the graphic card should not be a part on Intel CPU (Intel HD GPU) but you should choose the notebook with an ATI graphic chip or nVidia GPU.

Apple does not have an intutitive process for refunds, but I have gotten one me emailing customer support when I bought an App that falsely advertised its functions, so you might have some luck that way

When is Apple going to fix the VPN in Mavericks? Keeps disconnecting, after random (but typically short, an hour or two) up-time. It used to stay connected for days pre-Mavericks (same computer, same router, same VPN destination).

It will not connect to your laptop ( except for internet tethering, if you subscribe to this service from your carrier) ot any other iphone (except from within supported Apps from the app store).
Most have no issue with bluetooth, when using with supported devices.
It seems you have an issue with your bluetooth. Is you car stereo in discover mode? Have you talked to the make of your car stereo to see if they support iphone?

What about security in adf faces application ?

It seem that the documentation has a little bit changed about security for adf faces application.
SRDemo J2EE sample application only implemented the security at the web container and may be for the session beans (don't remember) by using security-role and security-constraint in web.xml configuration file.
It seem that the documentation recommand now to implement adf security and didn't find anymore the reference to the standard j2ee security implementation.
We found also that the security constraints checked by the web container was sometimes ignored and the container didn't ask us to login before displaying a page.
Is ADF security a clear Oracle recommandation for ADF Faces application ?
What about j2ee security for this type of application (why it is not recommended to use it) ?

Hi,
there is no single recommedation about security because security ideally is applied on several levels to implement security in depth. Container managed security with J2EE is a good option to secure page access and - if using EJB - to propagate the user identity for method level access control.
Using ADF Security, which is security added to the binding layer based on JAAS, a second layer of the security onion becomes available that allows you to define which user is allowed to perform which operation on an iterator or attribute binding. This goes beyond of what container managed security can do for you.
The thrid layer is business layer security and eventually database security.
For Oracle Open World we will have a developmengt track and one of the presentation I am giving with Ric Smith from our team is about end-to-end application security for ADF Faces, ADF, ADF BCor TopLink/EJB and the Oracle database.
The plan is to also write this up in a paper, but this would come late because of other priorities I have on my plate. So attending OOW probably is the best option for you to get the big picture

W530 Face Tracking questions

The face tracking on my W530 seemed to be a bit slower than the video showing off the T530's Face tracking.
They should have the same camera correct?
Also, When I have the "Virtual Camera Driver," installed, the facetracking is fine, but the camera is stuck at 640x480. When that driver is removed, the camera can be set to 1280x720, but The facetracking and desktop sharing features are lost. Is this a bug or intentional?
I don't really care about face tracking, but it's a neat feature.

Optimus ALWAYS uses the integrated card. What it does is when the nVidia Card is off, the integrated card drives the display and any applications running that don't use the card. When the nVidia card is triggered by an application, and you aren't using an external monitor, the Panel is still driven by the Intel integrated card, but the video output(i.e what is being displayed), is pumped from the nVidia card through the intel card. so either way, the intel card drives the display output for the internal LCD. The Video ouput ports however(aside from VGA, although on mine that goes through nvidia too), are run by the nVidia Discrete graphics.
