What about upgrade with nikon D750

WHEN ADOBE WILL UPGRADE CS6 WITH NIKON D750?

Moise:
I too am looking for D750 support under CS6, so thanks for asking about this.
Take a look at the page corresponding to the link GautamBahl posted (Thanks, Gautam!):

On the right side of the page under Top Technologies there us a link to Camera Raw 8.7 CS6. Looks like this is what we need.

  • HT4009 What about upgrading? I can't do that from where I live w/o connecting to my hd. Now with the new changes to ITunes, I don't see how I can upgrade thru the traditional route I took b4. Now what do I do?

What about upgrading apps on your IPhone? I can't do that from where I live w/o connecting directly to my laptop. With Apple's new Itunes page, I don't see how I can navigate successfully now to acheive the same result as before. Hmmm. I would appreciate some quick guidance. Thanks.

With iTunes 11 you can enable the left-hand sidebar that used to show on previous versions of iTunes via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC. You can then select the Apps part of your iTunes library on that sidebar and on the right-hand side of iTunes click the Check For Updates button at the bottom to see if any of your apps have updates available. Then connect your phone and select it on the sidebar, and on the Apps tab on the right-hand side click the Sync button at the bottom of it to copy the updates over

  • When will come the new raw version update for Adobe Lightroom 4 with Nikon D750 support?

    Hello Adobe,
When will come the new raw version update for Adobe Lightroom 4 with Nikon D750 support?
    Best regards
    Frank

There won't be an update for Lightroom 4. The only way you can work with your D750 raw files is to use the free standalone DNG converter to create DNG copies. If you want to be able to work on the NEF files then you will have to upgrade to Lightroom 5. Lightroom does not use the Camera Raw plug-in. Everything is part of the Lightroom program. If you want to stay current with Lightroom then you need to follow the update/upgrade path. That means purchasing each new major version of Lightroom or subscribing to the creative cloud plan.

  • Experiences with Nikon D750 and Aperture

    Hi,
    a few weeks ago I bought a Nikon D750 – my camera before was a Nikon D700.
All in all I am disappointed about the quality of my photos with the D750 in Aperture – they’re all 14bit RAWs without compression. The problems e. g. are:
    - Photos shot with the D750 at low light conditions at home are too much colour saturated - especially there’s too much red in it.
    - Contrast is much too high.
    - Dark areas are often black without details.
I looked at many of these photos in Adobe’s Lightroom. The RAW intepretation seems a bit better (especially regarding contrast and dark areas) but has other problems (e. g. with skin tones).
I made a few comparision photos with my D750 and the D700. All in all the D700 makes a much better job in home light conditions. You can see more details in the photos, colour saturation and contrast are better.
Can anyone confirm these problems? At the moment I am not sure if it is a problem of the D750 (which is reviewed everywhere so excellent!) or of the CameraRAW interpretation of Apple. Will future Camera RAW updates mabye have better interpretations?
    Regards, Ulf

To illustrate, what I mean: I shot today a photo (nothing special) with my lensbaby fisheye lens in low light.
That’s the way the photo looks like in Aperture 3.6 (I tried to improve it a bit):
In Apertue the photo has to much contrast. But reducing it makes the photo ugly. You can also see that dark parts of the photo (not the black) tend to be brown and the transition between black and brown looks terrible.
The Same photo processed and also a bit improved with Lightroom 5.7 looks a lot better:
You can see a lot more details - details you can never get with Aperture.
In my opinion Apple’s camera raw for the Nikon D750 makes a very bad job. A lot of my photos can not good be processed in Aperture.
Does anyone with the D750 make same experiences?

  • Is there a plug in yet to use photoshop elements 12 with nikon d750

I want to use Photoshop Elements 12 with my Nikon D750. Is there a raw plug in yet ?

No, and it is expected that PSE 12 will not get any further updates.
If you don't want to upgrade to PSE 13, you can download the free Adobe DNG converter. Use that to convert your NEF files to DNG files which can then be used by PSE 12.

  • Tethering with Nikon D750

I know this was asked a few weeks ago, but any news on tethering with the Nikon D750 in Lightroom?

If there was, the Lightroom Tethering Support page (which we're all free to check) would have been updated.

  • OS6.8, camera raw 8.3 download, doesn't work with Nikon D750 NEF. I followed the download instructions carefully.

I'm trying to get the NEFs from a Nikon D750 to open in Bridge6 or Photoshop6. I have OS 6.8 which is "no longer formally supported" by Adobe. Meaning I cannot use DNG converter 8.6 but there is a way around it- revert to DNG converter 8.3- if I understand it correctly? I followed the download instructions carefully but still cannot get the NEF files to open. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Unless you can find some non adobe software to open your Nikion D 750 nef files, i'm not sure you'll be able to open them using mac os x 10.6.8 snow leopard.
Actually the Nikon D750 requires the yet to be released camera raw 8.7 plugin or the 8.7 dng converter, neither of which will work on snow leopard mac os x 10.6.8

  • HT5246 What about users with Java installed?

What about users who have Java installed? Do they not need to run this program? Why?

The flashback malware removal tool is included in the latest security update. If you've downloaded all your updates, it's been installed and if you got no message you had no malware.

  • What about customers with Flash blocked?

    Hi!
We're developing Flex solutions for clients, and one of our
clients asked about their customers and what happened if they have
Flash either not installed at all or Flash content blocked. This
could be for (real or perceived) security reasons, or this could be
to keep employees from viewing sites like YouTube or Flash gaming
sites. This could be a deal-breaker to us because if the client
isn't convinced that all their customers can use Flash, they will
    not use Flex at all.
So have any of you encountered these kind of problems? What
do you do in that case - how can you convince a customer to either
install Flash or unblock it for your Flex solution? I mean you
don't know what infrastructure a client has and whether blocking
"bad Flash content" (YouTube, games etc.) and letting "good Flash
content" (our Flex apps) through is an option at all.
    Thank you!
    Karsten Silz

    1) Flash/flex and other client object apps can run on a
case-by-case basis via digital security certificates. The user can
then trust your app to run without inviting in the u-tube armies.
    2) Agreed with other comments that you will likely need to
give users an alternate user interface otherwise.
    3) If you are selling, you can also just run an off-line
presentation. Perhaps in seeing the presentation they will buy into
    it.

  • What about UPGRADES ?

    nice idea Apple, but you have upset me (as a loyal APPLE user) with this one;
the new MAC APP store; NO UPGRADES OPTIONS.
    why?
    - I have Aperture 2 (having paid a lot for 1, and then 2) so why not offer me an upgrade price to 3 ?
my ONLY option is to junk Aperture 1&2 and pay the FULL price for Aperture 3.
is this the FAIR way to treat a loyal customer ?
(by wanting an upgrade it means I have ALREADY purchased from APPLE!)

I wouldn't go as far as saying entitled to but I suppose it's the ability to re-use so much of your previous work that allows many companies to offer those kind of discounts. Using your car comparison they may very well re-use some of the design from a previous one but they need all the raw materials and need to machine the parts for each car unlike software.
In this case though it's been highlighted that the current app store price is currently less than the normal upgrade price I don't think there is too much to complain about.

  • No possible tethering with Nikon D750 in Lightroom 5.7.1

    Do you have an answer?
    Thanks
    Gianni

Just so you are aware this is a user to user forum, so the replies you get here are most likely be from users like yourself. Adobe does not usually announce when particular camera functions  will be supported. From what I have observed since I have been using Lightroom from inception is that tether support for cameras is not one of the primary functions.
Lightroom is primarily a software package for processing and managing large volumes of raw files from digital cameras and provides support for approximately 400 odd camera models and only provides tether support for less than 10% of those camera models.
Moreover Lightroom has to wait for the camera manufacturer to provide support information through an sdk package to enable them to begin working on enabling tether support. Lightroom updates are normally issued approximately every three months. So dependent when the required support from the camera manufacturer is made available it can be several months before it is actually included in an update. I would suggest that if tether support is critical to your workflow then you need to check prior to making a purchase.
See the link for info on tether support.

  • Hi,  I've just purchased and installed an upgrade from Lightroom 4 to 5.  It doesn't seem to handle raw files authored with a new Nikon D750 camera.  I spoke to the sales rep about this and he gave me a link to the 8.6 DNG converter page with instructions

Hi,  I've just purchased and installed an upgrade from Lightroom 4 to 5.  It doesn't seem to handle raw files authored with a new Nikon D750 camera.  I spoke to the sales rep about this and he gave me a link to the 8.6 DNG converter page with instructions to download.  8.6 only works with Mac OS 10.7-10.9, according to the page.  I'm running Yosemite, Mac 10.10.  Please can you tell me my options?  Lightroom 4 worked beautifully with my older cameras' raw files so I would like to continue using the application.  What should I do?  How soon will Lightroom 5 be able to deal with raw files from a D750.  Many thanks, Adam.

Until the next version of Lightroom is released, you need to use the DNG Converter version 8.7RC to convert your RAW photos to DNG and then import the DNGs into Lightroom.
