What ADF object to use if a barcode wedge is used to enter a search form

I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.3 and was wanting to find out what is the best way to design a form where the user will use a barcode wedge to scan in a item number. The wedge can be programmed to do a enter one the item is scanned in.
Once the item is scanned in, the user will be able to select a order that was entered before for the item scanned in(not to edit that order) but to create a new order with values defaulted from the order they selected.
Once on the create form, the user will be able to select upto 6 open wip jobs for the scanned item and that will populate a open order total for the wip jobs.

You have lofty goals that exceed the internet's current implementation/support - secure, encrypted, signed email remains a niche product at best. You've already covered the main players in the field, and encountered their drawbacks.
Without getting into certificate games with your recipients the best you can do is write your email as an file, encrypt/compress that file with a common encryption app (or a compression application that supports passwording), and separately deliver the password to the recipient(s) so they can open the attachment at the other end (of course, this precludes them viewing the message in the mail client). Cumbersome, at best.

I want to automate, as much as possible, the "Save As" process by using some of the data that the user entered in the fillable PDF form.
For example, I want to include the user's First Name and Last Name that they entered in the form to be part of the saved file name.
First Name: Bob
Last Name: Smith
Therefore, when you select to Save As part of the new file name will already have <BobSmith><today's date>.PDF

You should try the LiveCycle Designer forum, but from my experience with Acrobat forms it's not possible. What you can do is either save the file using the desired file name and path (without user interaction), if the script runs from a trusted context, or you can prompt the user with the desired file-name for the file, but not enforce them to use it, nor populate it into the Save As dialog itself.

but it only hold very limited length of charter, i want to be more. Any other control is there?

There is limited support for CLOBs in Forms. I guess you could read it in piecemeal with a procedure using the DBMS_LOB package

Set up one table with a Team column, perhaps like this:

Then you can uncheck or delete the filter to see the full list again:
That way you keep things simple and can view an individual team whenever you need to.

Use of Enter in toolbars/forms

I think the question was discussed already, but I can't find the threads, so sorry for possible duplication.
Is that possible to react somehow on keyboard "Enter" in WDpro views?
Particularly I've added an input field "search criteria" to the toolbar of a table and next to it "Find" button. I'm wondering if that's possible to react on enter in the input field without need of mouse click on the button?

It depdends what you mean by "non applet" - you could mean an application or a "thin" browser UI that does not require a JVM
THe thing is, you don't really have a choice if using Forms

Clob objects in search form

Hello.
I am trying to build a search form for my DB following the instructions of the "Developing Rich Web Applications with Oracle ADF" tutorial.
One of the attributes I want to search (which is a field of a table in the DB) is of the type CLOB, but it is marked as non-queryable, and the checkbox is disabled so I cannot make it queryable.
Is there any way to query CLOBs using the built-in search form? I know CLOBs can be queryed in Oracle.

You're confusing Oracle Text (or whatever it's called now) with CLOB datatype , although a text index on a clob column would be ok.
You can use LIKE on clob columns, but not direct comparison with a string:

What SWO1 object uses by std. SAP to send email if OB IDOC get fails?

We have SWO1 object IDOCAPPL in SWETYPECOU and we can use it to send an emaill to user's inbox, if IDOC get fails at all.
But, this object is ONLY for inbound IDOCs.
Am looking for similar object(SWO1) but my IDOCs are outbound, pls. let me know what object i can use from SWETYPECOU table to trigger email if my IDOC get fails? Here IDOC and FM are custom ones.

Hi,
Here is an idea for your request.
Basically you can create a simple query on multiprovider 0TCT_MC01.
Filter: you can use a variable for restriction of time ( calday, or calmonth) since you should be interested for a time period.
Choose following characters into your objects:
InfoProvider ( 0TCTIFPROV ) - you can create a variable for choosing infoprovider before query runs.
*Tp.[Type of BI Application Object] 0TCTBISOTYP = filter this with 'QUERY' or whatever your need is.
*BI Application Object 0TCTBISBOBJ, ( this will give you the name of the queries)
In key figures choose, Count for BI Appl. (0TCTWTCOUNT).
(number for query run)
Create a condition , for top 20.

What component Should I use?, Jpanel doesn't work

I need a program that has a window that can go fullscreen and windowed (I did that with a Jframe in fullscreen mode with a jpnale and a 800x600 Jpanel and destroying them with an object that maneges them), I did it with a jframe that contained a Jpanel, I used a Jpanel to avoid the flickering on the screen but I also need to change the font type and the font size, but the setFont on the Jpanel doesn't change the font (as I have realized and also read here [http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=257&threadID=150588] ), so I'm lost, I might have to redo the whole thing, but I just wanted to know what component should I use for a window that is going to have custom graphics and need diffrent fonts and diffrent font sizes and work in fullscreen without flickering
