What Adobe Presenter 8 Licence option is best?

Our association would like to hire freelance content experts to develop short narrated ppt presentations (hopefully in adobe presenter) that we could then publish to the web. However, not all our authors will necessarily have this software. Is there some sort of roving license or subscription we can buy that will temporarily provide the author with access to the right version of the software, for the short time period they are under contract to us? (Sorry if this is not the right forum for this question.)

Since Presenter is installed software, you could uninstall and reinstall the application on the appropriate individuals computer, as needed. The licenses shouldn't be tied to a specific individual.
However, in my experience that can be a pain to teach someone a new application on a regular basis, so I have found it easier to leave one (or a few) individuals with the Presenter application who will be responsible for compiling the audio with the presentation, and publishing out to meet your needs. Then the individual who is recording the audio can do so in PPT, or in another application (Audacity from SourceForge is free). Then the person using Presenter would just import the audio and apply it appropriately to the presentation. This may reduce employee hour over head, as it may be faster to use this workflow than to teach and support a new individual using presenter every few weeks/months.

  • Audio Problems in Adobe Presenter: Help Needed Urgently!!

I am using trial versions of Adobe Presenter 7 and Adobe Connect 8.
I created a presentation in in Powerpoint 2002 and published through Adobe Presenter to Adobe Connect Pro. This presentation has voice over recorded through the Adobe Presenter "record audio" option.
In Adobe Connect Pro, I created a meeting and shared the above mentioned presentation through the "Share Document" option in Connect Pro.
Now, when I play the presentation in this Adobe Connect Meeting, I am not getting any audio that was recorded in Adobe Presenter. Whereas if I play the published presentation directly it plays the recorded audio.
Can anyone help me on this?
    1. Are there any settings to be done in Powerpoint or Adobe Presenter or Connect pro?
    2. Is it the problem of Trial Account or something like that?
Please let me know the solution. Need to work on this ASAP!!!
    Thanks in Advance,
    Yogini

This is a weird one. If you created a prezo with audio and published it to AC (Adobe Connect) and everything worked fine on your desktop then it should work fine in AC i.e. there are no other settings required on AC's side, it should just play.
As I am typing this I thought of similar audio problems that we have experienced in the past. A big one would be where another user created a PPT on their laptops and handed it to us. When testing the audio did not work. Reason being is that not all the files were coppied over BUT I must accept that this is not your problem as it definately worked on your PC before you published it to AC.
Wait there is one setting in the publish settings. In the output options tick "Upload source presentation with assests", then tick audio.
I cannot think of anything else. There is a man called Heyward Drummond on the Adobe Connect General forum, who is a real master at answering queries like this. Why not post your query there and see if he comes up with an answer?

I'm having trouble finding good Presenter resources. I've been playing with it a bit and looking on YouTube, but I want to learn how to make tests that collect results, etc.
    Any help would be appreciated.

There are some tutorials here: http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/adobe-presenter-tutorials
There is also the option of setting up an official training as well. Feel free to PM or email me, jorma[at]realeyesconnect.com, if you would like to look at that option.

  • What's New in Adobe Presenter 8 | New in Adobe Presenter 8 | Adobe TV

Communicate better with engaging videos that you can create at your desktop and deliver to video sharing sites and mobile devices. Now with Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 support, Adobe Presenter 8 software helps you convert slides into interactive content using out-of-the-box assets and quizzes.

Seems to major on the integration of presenter video with slides. Video seems to be winning the war against SCORM primarily because of mobile device friendliness I think.
Very neat home office by the way. I think that's the Yeti mic (bigger than it looks in the online store pics)!

Hi, Adobe Acrobat Pro is not opening any more and giving the error "Licence is not working any more". I have a CS4 on Mac OS X 10.5.8. I tried all the suggestions in the Help Forum. What remains is to install CS4 again. Is there any risk doing that? Or is there any other option. Best, Felix

  • Adobe Presenter vs. Articulate Presenter

    Hello!
I previously used Articulate Presenter to develop content. However, due to some major software bugs I was having with Articulate, I switched to using Adobe Captive (and am very happy). Now I just came across Adobe Presenter and it seems exactly the same as Articulate Presenter. Can anyone tell me what are the differences between Adobe Presenter and Articulate Presenter? Does Adobe Presenter produce smaller files? I like to keep my files (which have graphics, animation, and narration) under 5 MG.
Thanks for any input you can give me!

  • Adobe Presenter failed to open because either it is not licensed or there is an error.. Help!

I have been using registered version of Adobe Presenter ( I have a serial number) for some time. Now I receive the following error message:
"Adobe Presenter failed to open because either it is not licensed or there is an error in the licensing system. Please close and re-launch PowerPoint and enter
serial number to license it. If this problem persists, reinstall this product and try again."
The registration page pops up but just briefly--too fast to click the accept/decline buttons. I have tried deleting the Office and Adobe preference files under User as well as uninstalling/reinstalling but the error message persists making presenter unusable. I also tried to install just a a trial version but also receive the same error message.
System is Win 7. As I said I have been using it for over a year successfully.
What can I do to fix this?
    Thanks...Dave

Thanks Nirupam.  Here are the answers.
The hardware for recording audio is simple mini-phone plug to mini-phone jack in the back of the computer.  The driver is HD compatible (Microphone High Definition Audio Device)
After recording, I am able to replay it, but Powerpoint crashes soonafter, and not predictably.
So far I have added no markers or specified any actions.
Specifically, I have taken enumerable actions-- some of these per suggestions made in this forum (to the letter).  Perhaps the most frequent action is to drill into Powerpoint options, and re-enable the Adobe Presenter add-in.
I have been able to apply neither the 7.05 patch nor the 7.06 successfully.  Both failed (the error message said it wouldn't apply to this version of Presenter.  Again, it's Presenter_WWE.exe).
I can see that you have ramped this up to known bug status.  I appreciate that and am sure you'll come up with a rock solid solution.
As I've said earlier, one of Adobe's strengths, for me, is that they understand the needs and idiosyncracies of faculty.  Faculty cannot handle geek solutions (like changing registries).  After frustration, they will abandon and move on.
    Thanks,
    Glen

  • What settings do I need to get best quality Word (mac office 2011) to Acrobat 9?

What settings do I need to get best quality Word (mac office 2011) to Acrobat 9?And what is best method, save as from Word, or create from Acrobat?

Thank you Steve! For the benefit of anyone following this thread, if Acrobat tab does not show in Word
This add-in may be disabled in Word. We can try to re-enable it:
    =============
    1. Open Word program.
    2. Click the Office button. Then click the Word Options button.
    3. Click Add-Ins.
    4. From the Manage dropdown list select Disabled Items and click Go.
    5. Check the list for PDFMakerOfficeAddin:
    1)      If it is listed, then select it and click Enable. Close all dialog boxes and restart the Word program.
    2)      If it is not listed, then make sure that PDFMOfficeAddin.dll is located in the ‘…/Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat 8.0/PDFMaker/Office’ folder. If the file is missing, then reinstall Acrobat.

  • PowerPoint experienced a serious problem with the 'adobe presenter powerpoint com addin' add-in.

I've installed Adobe Presenter V7.0.7 Build 7746. When I open an existing PowerPoint file and try and use Presenter, I get the following error: PowerPoint experienced a serious problem with the 'adobe presenter powerpoint com addin' add-in. If you have seen this message multiple times, you should disable this add-in and check to see if an update is available. Do you want to disable this add-in?
No, I don't want to disable it. When I click No, PowerPoint stops working. I get a message that says: Microsoft PowerPoint has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, Widows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. My only choice is to click the Close program button.
When I open the PPT file again, I get the same "experienced a serious problem" message. If anyone has a solution to this, I'd appreciate knowing what it is. It took me a while just to get the Presenter option to appear in the PowerPoint toolbar. Now that I have it, it's not working.
    Thank you!

Thank you for your quick reply. Here are the answers to your questions.
    1. The file I'm having issues with was not created using any version of Presenter. It is simply a PowerPoint file.
    2. The file is a PPT not PPTX.
    3. I am running Windows7 and Office 2010.
I think I might have found the solution to the problem. I opened the PPT file and saved it as a PPTX file. Then I clicked the Presenter option in the PowerPoint toolbar and was able to select different Presenter options with no issues. I opened other PPTX files and I did not get the error window stating 'PowerPoint experienced a serious problem with the 'adobe presenter powerpoint com addin' add-in'.
This seems to work. So, it appears that any PPT file needs to be saved as a PPTX file before using Presenter. If you have another solution that I might be able to keep in my back pocket (in case this happens again and what I did does not work), then please answer. Otherwise, I'm good now.
    Thanks!

  • Adobe Presenter 8 and 508 Compliance

So I am in the middle of work for the US government. The output needs to be 508 compliant to meet Federal regulations. I have been building projects in Presenter 7 and using workarounds to achieve 508 compliance (e.g. printed script/handout in PDF). I have been informed that from here on out, no workarounds will be accepted -the presentation MUST be 508 compliant in the manner that they test. With that in mind, has Presenter 8 improved the accessibility of its output files compared to Presenter 7? JAWS compatibiilty, in particular, is what I need to know. The folks doing my 508 testing use JAWS and it always raises flags with Presenter output.
Before I drop the money to get the latest version of Presenter, I am wondering if things have improved or if I should be looking at another solution?

    Hi Mukul,
    Thanks for the prompt reply!
My compliancy checker sent me the following notes (unfortunately, not as specific as I would like):
    html version:
    Videos need running timer bar.
Slides just stop; no indication that you need to select "next slide" in the menu.
Not all slides are read by JAWS; rather, it reads around the slide like it isn't there – check coding.
All charts and graphics need alt-tags.
    and for the PDF version:
    508 Compliancy &JAWS:
JAWS needs to be able to see a flash file, whether it is in a webpage , within a .pdf, or self contained.  The flash movie needs to be “described”   Within Adobe Flash Professional there is an option and the ability to access the “Accessibility Panel.”  But this Digging Deeper Demo.PDF  was developed within Adobe Presenter, and I have yet to create a project with this tool, so I am unsure there is the same “Accessibility Panel.”  If there is not, I would imagine there is something similar to ensure the flash portion of the .PDF is seen by JAWS or any screen reader.

  • Adobe Presenter

One of the reasons I bought Acrobat 9 Pro Extended was to get Adobe Presenter. We use it all the time. I also have the CS 5.
Imagine my disappointment that the Adobe marketing people decided to get rid of Pro Extended for version X and require me to get the Acrobat X Suite if I still want Presenter. At $799, that is not an option! And especially dumb when it would also make me buy yet another copy of PhotoShop CS5, which I already have. (and what does photoshop have to do with Acrobat anyway?)
Did they talk to customers about this? Have they considered people like me?
It certainly seems to be discouraging the use of Presenter! I will have to look for another option.
    Disappointing!
Note: I cross-posted this in the Acrobat Connect / Presenter forum because I wasn't sure where it really belonged. Apologies if that was wrong!

Presenter is a Power Point only add in. It will not show up
in any other office programs. Also, Presenter 6.2 is out. You
should get it from your getting started link on your Connect
    Enterprise Server Home Page.
