What adobe setting do I use?

I am having problems with recipients opening my scanned adobe files. When a recipient opens my file, the print is huge and it prints exactly as viewed. If they attempt to print a one page document, it prints a portion of the document and ends of being 10 pages.

My scanner setting have not changed. I recently had to reload my operating system and reinstall firefox. When I go into tools I click on the portable adobe and use the adobe in firefox setting.

  • Video camera compatibility for CS5? what sequence setting do I use?

I am new to the extraordinarily complex world of hard drive/hybrid cameras. I have always used tape and firewires with few problems. A student came in today with new camera she just bought a Panasonic SDR –H85. We downloaded a video file, but it would not import into Premiere. I also had no idea which of the dozen new sequence set-ups to use. How do I find out camera compatibility for CS5? (Adobe doesn’t list specific models.) And what sequence setting do I use?

Thanks for your help! For some reason we had a hard time finding these specs. It looks like it is a SD camera, not a High Definition camera (the HD on the side of the camera mistakenly meant Hard Drive, not High Definition?)
At any rate we now need to use the Adobe media encoder to convert the file so that we can import it into Premiere ….all with a loss of quality due to the re-rendering. (btw, what is the best file to re-render?). I suggested that the student who just bought it return it for a camera (preferably High Def) that will work in Premiere. Any suggestions?

  • What sequence setting would you use to edit 1280 x1080 DVCProHD (P2) and 1920 x 1080 AVCHD (Sony) in FCP. Experiencing Quality and rendering issues.

What sequence setting would you use to edit both 1280 x1080 DVCProHD (P2) and 1920 x 1080 AVCHD (Sony) in a single timeline in FCP. I'm experiencing quality and rendering issues.  I've tried numerous settings but can't seem to figure this one out.  Thanks for your assistance.

Although you can combine the avchd 1920x1080 material with prores 1920x1080 in the same timeline, you might land up saving time just converting everything to 1920x1080 prores 422.   You'd probably reduce the amount of rendering while you're working and exporting when you're done by a great deal.  This workflow will require much more drive space.

Thanks so much.  I downloaded Acrobat XI.  It's been "extracting" for the past 30 minutes (even with a fast wi-fi).  Hope this is not a problem.

  • What video setting should I use?

I'm converting videos using Aieesoft, and am wondering what video setting is the best to use for playing on an ipad 4?  I don't want the files to be huge.  If I can I'd like to keep them under 1 gig each.

First, decde how you are going to deliver this production to your client. Then tell us what that delivery medium will be. Then we'll have some advice for you.
See the section in the FCP manual on using still images. You need to understand that in video there are only pixels, no dots per inch or lines per inch. Those terms are meaningless in video. You wil sand at a size in raw pixels that is only slightly larger than your delivery format.

  • What adobe product should I use on an Android tablet to view and edit maintenance drawings?

I plan to provide our maintenance staff Android tablets with all our equipment documentation loaded in PDF format.  I would like for them to be able to note changes, corrections, additions, etc.  I would also like for them to be able to associate / link photos of the equipment with the appropriate documentation.  I am not sure what Adobe application will meet these requirements and hope someone can provide advice and suggestions.

I'd like another player because I've had it with Adobe. I've spent hours and hours trying to get Shockwave & Flash to work after recent updates in those programs. I tested them out in Google Chrome, and still problems although fewer than in FF.
What is going on with these products? Everytime I run an update of FF or Shockwave/Flash, everything gets screwed up!!

  • What project setting should be used in the current Premiere Pro CC to import and edit xdcam XAVC UHD content?

I cannot find a setting that is available when importing XDCAM XAVC UHD (3840x2160) 422 progressive content, shot using sLOG3, nor any other form of XDCAM 4K/UHD. There is no option for XAVC that I can find, nor is there anything under XDCAM HD for 4K/UHD like there is for REDCAM. Is there a Plugin that I need? Or does Premiere Pro CC not yet truly support Sony XDCAM XAVC yet?
The Adobe posted compatibility list for PPro CC says that it will support almost all forms of XDCAM, including RAW 4k, but the reality of what is actually now available in PPro CC appears to be another thing. I hope I just missed something? But as always, Adobe leaves you guessing at these things.
BTW, I tried the REDCAM UHD 29.97 3840x2160 setting, and after the file is imported, PPro takes a dive. That was a shot in the dark of my own, and I expected it to fail. But now I have 600+GB of files that are in limbo. Thanks Adobe chat support for not being available during the hours listed on the support pages.

  • What sequence setting should I use for a High Quality Video Montage?

I am about to start a new project for a client using photographs only.  I have two questions:
    1.  What should I use for the sequence settings?  Should I edit with a HD sequence setting?
    2.  I am going to scan the pics myself.  What Pixel or resolution is appropriate to get the best quality?  I'm looking for wide screen 16 x 9, not 3 x 4.

  • I have a Pixma Pro 100. Does anyone know what printer setting I would use to print on 11 x 14 paper?

I'm trying to make 11 x 14 prints but I'm unsure what what size to set it as in Photoshop. I'm using Epson paper which works fine with the printer I just don't know what settings to use.
    Thanks.

Go into the OnScreen Manual and search for page P010. That will give you instructions for custom paper sizes.

  • What adobe flash player to use for ps3

ps3 has adobe flash player but it says i have to reset when i do it don't work . what to do.

It has not helped at all.
And I tried that before whenever I had to revert to the FP 10.3 version 6 months ago for just Hulu and netflix.  It didn't help much there either way.
And before the problem cropped up originally everything was fine.
Although, then, I had removed Google Earth and Google Chrome  because they seemed to influence the viewing a bit.
I have now readded Google Chrome as a secondary browser but it hasn't changed anything as far as the videos go.
I have now also upgraded to the latest Flash Player but I still have the same problems.
I can only view the Comcast movies and series in  the lowest resolution and speeds and only can use the Normal screen at that, not the Full screen mode.  And Comcast requires at least FP 11.1 to be used.
The movies are jerky, sometimes completely freezing up and the audio and video are almost always out of sync (again).
Short of replacing the graphics card, no one has come up with an answer.
I am sure a lot of people have older graphics cards in their system and have no problems with their video.
But I'm sure that I am not the only one that has this problem either.

  • What cache setting should I use?

I recently downloaded a health check and was advised to optimize the firefox cache. What's the best setting for performance?

I would stick with the default settings which is 50MB. If you use sites which use large files such as YouTube you could increase it. There is no optimum setting.
Firefox 4 will use a different method to determine the size of the cache.

  • What Adobe Nameserver do I use with Go Daddy?

    Hi Robert,
It depends on if you are redirecting mail as well or just the website.
If you are redirecting mail as well you need to change the DNS settings in GoDaddy to the ns1.worldsecuresystems.com and ns2.worldsecuresystems.com. If you are redirecting the website only and keeping the email at GoDaddy then you need to just change the A Record in GoDaddy to one of the following set of IP numbers depending on where you are:

  • What adobe software do I use to design graphics for a 24 grid window display?

    Hi there,
I know in some designing cases you use multiple programs to complete your design goal and I'm thinking this may be a case. If you could help me figure out what programs to use, I'd appreciate it.
I have a large storefront window system that is roughly 5 windows wide by 4 windows tall. The client wants me to display large graphics across multiple windows. Would I use InDesign for the layout and illustrator for the graphic design? or would photoshop work better for the layout? I tried just making a grid of art boards in illustrator but the art boards go beyond the canvas because they are so large and I'm not sure how to resize the canvas.
Any insight on the matter would be much appreciated. Thank you very much!
    Caleb Kingston

I wonder if an application like Vector Works or similar would be appropriate for constructing and displaying a storefront prototype?  In response to your question, you would be better off scaling everything down to a manageable size in "Illustrator".  All of your photograpic images can be prepared in Photoshop and then Placed in Illustrator for output.  The key here is to define the output device's print size and scale the entire project down proportionately to that device.  Another thing to consider is how to plan to present the ideas you come up with.  Each panel separately or all together as a composite?  Sounds like a nice project.  Good luck as you proceed.  I see absolutely no reason to use InDesign unless you are more familiar with that application than you are with Illustrator.

  • What compressor setting should I use in order to convert my m4v file to an mov that wont need to be rendered when I bring into FCP 7?

When I have an m4v file of course I cant edit it in FCP so I convert it in mpeg stream and/or compressor but no matter what mov format I convert it to, it always has to render in FCP7.  The render files are also HUGE, upwards of 50 gigs.  The m4v file is about 9 gigs.  I know theres a setting that will  allow me to convert it to an MOVformat in compressor that wont need to be rendred in fcp, but I dont know what it is. HELP PLEASE!!!  Lexi

You need to convert so the resulting file will match your FCP Sequence specs.  That include codec, frame rate, pixel resolution, audio sampling rate, etc, etc.
The reason that the .m4v version is so small is that is was heavily compressed for internet viewing/delivery and not a good source if you plan to edit.
