What am I missing here with Remote and AppleTV?

I have my iPhone connected fine. I have an AppleTV with audio played through Apple HIFI speakers. I have a dedicated MacBook Pro that feeds all movies, TV Shows and music to my AppleTV. And it works great. But when I select a movie with Remote, it will only play the movie on the compter screen and not through AppleTV to the large HD screen connected to the AppleTV.
In my Remote settings I have AppleTV checked and Computer unchecked. I thought this would do it. But no. Movies will only play on the computer screen and not through the AppleTV to the large screen.
Is this function not supported? The MacBook Pro is setup to stream content to AppleTV. Could this be the problem. I buy all the movies on the MBP and not the AppleTV with only a 40gb hard drive.
Thanks

Hello. Can you be more specific about your setup? I have Apple TV synching to an iMac with a 2TB video library. It also streams to my MBP library. Remote will pair and work great with any of our computers but not with ATV. The instructions for ATV say say "choose Remotes from the General menu". I have done that and my iphones shows up there. Trouble is, when I open Remote on my iphone, ATV STILL only shows up under "Speakers", not "Library". What am I doing wrong? Since the ATV has both synched data on it's HD, successfully streams and sees my iPhone under "Remotes" - why can't I control the ATV? How do I get ATV to show up under the "Library" section?

  • Imported files from my camera, a mixture of photos and videos, the videos (mp4 format on my Canon SX60 HS) always appear at the start of my library view.  What am I missing here?

Even though I select sorting by capture time, the videos do not intersperse with the photos in chronological order.  What am I missing here?
I have tried both putting them in a collection and viewing all pictures etc. to no avail.
In Windows Explorer, I have them sorted by time taken successfully.  They all import into folders by date in "My Pictures", both photos and videos when I import them.
I am running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and LR5 CC edition.

LR's handling of video metadata (e.g. capture time) is incomplete and buggy.  Please add your opinion and vote to these threads in the official Adobe feedback forum:

i am getting more and more emails with attachments with .eml extensions. i am unable to open them with any program i try. what am i missing here? it can't be that difficult!

That is a file type used by email programs. IMO, with the number of people using web mail these days, and not an email client, people shouldn't be sending attachments on that format.

My Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic White For iPhone says: made in vietnam right in the cord. i want to know if they are OEM? here my email: [email protected], thanks.

Accidental damage is not covered under the warranty but if possible to reset the screen without causing additional damage, the Apple Store should do this without charging for it.

  • One of the computers on my homesharing network is automatically downloading purchases even though settings are not checked for this to occur?  What am I missing here?  BTW only one of the three computers (pc) is doing this.

We have three computers (two pcs and one mac) on our home sharing network. When I buy a song on my pc it is automatically downloading it to my husband's pc - but not my daugher's mac.  The settings on each library do not indicate any items should automatically download.  What am I missing here?  This is  a relatively recent thing I just noticed.  It was not always happening in this way.  Help.  Both pcs are on Windows 7.  Thanks in advance for any help.  My husband and I don't always like the same songs so I need help to get back to marital bliss....

I think I found the answer to my own problemin case anyone experienced the same thing.  There is a separate spot in itunes under preferences to allow for automatic downloads from other devices.  It seems unrelated to home sharing.  I unchecked the boxes under the "store" section and that appears to have taken care of the issue.

  • Using Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic on my Macbook

Is it possible to use the remote to control volume on my macbook? I know the mic works but I can't get the remote to. Is it even possible to use the remote?

I have a unibody Macbook with OSX 10.6.1 and it works with my Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic. However, whenever I plug them in to the Macbook it takes up to 10 seconds for the volume and tracking controls to start working on the earphone remote. Also, if there is music playing in iTunes, the audio drops out for about the same amount of time. The hardware buttons on the Macbook also stop functioning during this time. The same behavior occurs when unplugging the earphones.
Basically, it seems like the Macbook is extremely slow when adding / removing the earphones as an audio control device.
Has anyone else noticed anything like this? Thanks!

  • Does Apple make/sell the new "Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic" with a one sided configuration? So that a person that is deaf in one can hear both sides of a stereo recording? Also, since the "other" bud is not necessary/useful...it's removed.

As far as I know, Apple sells no such configuration.  However, under Settings > General > Accessability, there is an option to play back audio in monoural mode, which would then play both halves of a stereo mix in each earbud.
    Hope that helps.

  • What are the integration points with sd and qm

    hi,
    sap gurus,
    good morning to all,
what are the integration points with SD and QM.
    in r/3.
    regards,
    balaji.t

    Dear balaji
Before doing PGI, there will be a preinspection stage where SD will have to integrate with QM.  Similarly after sales, whenever there is sales returns, QM will come into picture.
To control the above scenarios, in material master, go to "Quality management" view and click on "Insp.setup" where you need to assign Inspection Types like 04, 06 etc.
    thanks

  • How does Apple EarPods with Remote and Mic(MD827ZM/A) work with iPod 3rd Generation

I have recently bought EarPods With remote and mic (MD827ZM/A) for my old iPod shuffle (3rd generation) Software V 1.1,  capacity 2GB
but these EarPods doesn't seems like working with my iPod, any possible solution ?

You can also get an "adapter," that has compatible remote control buttons.  There are several such products, for example
    http://www.amazon.com/iLuv-iEA15wht-Adapter-Earbuds-Headphones/dp/B002RL9WE0
You can then connect the any standard headphones to the adapter, including Apple EarPods.
