My HSA (health savings account) gives me all its statements in files ending in ".do". What is this? I can't get any application to read files like that. What should I do with them? What does ".do" mean?

The DO file type is primarily associated with 'Oracle Application Server' by Oracle Corporation.
Website page with Oracle Database, made with Java EE.
The .DO file is used by the Oracle Application Server to dynamically make a HTML page (just like a PHP server uses a .PHP file).
Maybe your HSA admin is using an Oracle database to generate its statements. Ask them.

No, that's not true. Windows Installer Service is active and running as a service.
There simply is no file association with MSP. How about you creating a text file using NOTEPAD and naming the file with a .MSP file extension. Then go to MY COMPUTER and double click on the .MSP file. Does Windows recognize the file type, or does it ask you to select a program to run the .MSP file with?

About a year age a bought a mini mac.
what a great tool.
Very fast, ran all my graphic programs and was able to burn projects to DVD.
So A few weeks ago bought a new mac mini and it came with Lion
which will not run any of my adobe graphic programs and it has no DVD drive.
What is the point of having programs like imovie and iDVD if you cannot burn DVD's.
To run my graphic programs I tried to install my old Snow leopard OS but that too was impossible.
So I am stuck with a machine that cannot run any of my MAC programs and doesn't even have a DVD drive.
I can't even use this machine as a DVD player.
So what am I supposed to do with it?

Since you guys state this message that nvidia nforce4 motherboards are the cause and not your card what am i supposed to do? The box never listed such incompatibilites when i bought it. Aside from the awful crackling/pop i also can't even enable eax cause i have 4 gigs of ram. it just doesn't work. I am not gonna downgrade my hardware just to use your card. If your iTunes Library is larger than the iPod you want to put the music onto, use Smart Playlists to automatically control what goes on the iPod.
For example, a very basic method of control is as follows:
Create a Smart Playlist that contains all the music in the library if it has not been played for x days/weeks/months. (if this produces too big a list, make the time longer. If it's not large enough, make the time shorter.) Let's say 12 months in this example and we'll name it CGStock
Sync only the Smart Playlist above (CGStock) and the Recently Played Playlist to your iPod.
What you end up with on the iPod is;
any new song you have just added, but not yet played
any song recently played (the default time in the Apple Recently Played Playlist is two weeks)
any song not played for 12 months (the time you specified in your Playlist)
... and you play them in the same way as you do now (you do not have to use the Playlist to play the song, but simply to control whether the song is on your iPod).
What would not be on your iPod would be:
any song played between two weeks and 12 months
This would reduce the amount of storage you need on your iPod. You could create additional Playlists which ensure that any particular songs are always on the iPod, not matter what the other lists say. The above is simply a very basic example.
Using this method, if you played a song from a new album, it would drop from the CGStock Smart Playlist, but be added to the Recently Played Playlist, so it stays on the iPod. If you then play that song again within two weeks, it has been recently played (within two weeks) so it stays on the iPod. That song could then be on the iPod six months after you added it to your iTunes Library, because you keep playing it. Then if you decide you don't want to hear it any more, it will automatically be removed from your iPod (at the next Sync) when you have not played it for two weeks. It would then be added back to the CGStock Playlist 12 months after you last played it.

Unless you want to keep your old iPhone as a spare, all you can do is give or sell it to someone else in the US, since as you've read, AT&T will not unlock it. The iPhone 4s still have good resale value. Or you can send it to Apple's recyling partner who will give you an Apple Store gift card in return which you could put toward the purchase of the new iPhone or another product:

What am I supposed to do with a bluetooth cellphone not supported by isync?

I recently purchased a Nokia 6021 which is not supported by isync. After hours of search on the net and in this forum, I have found only one solution that would allow me to sync this Nokia with my address book. This solution (a piece of software) would cost 30$US....I am not willing to shell out 30$ US for a mediocre workaround.
What I wonder is this: what is a blutooth cell phone good for if I can not sync it with my powerbook G4?
Are there other uses for bluetooth?
Does anyone know a cheap workaround?
I emailed feedback to Apple but realistically I do not expect them to add support for this phone...after all, all it takes is a few lines of script and if they did not add support so far I doubt they will do so in the future....

I'm no mobile handset expert, but I've heard lots of complaints about the design shortcomings of the Motorola contacts application: about the limit to the number of records it can hold, and the fact that each telephone number—even for the same individual—is treated as a separate contact record on a Motorola unit, making the record limitation an even greater problem. One record in your OS X Address Book with three telephone numbers results in three contact records on a RAZR, for example.
I would take a serious look at smartphones, like the Palm OS-based Treo 650, the Windows Mobile 5 OS-based Treo 700w, or any other Windows Mobile OS device. I'm not a big fan of Windows Mobile, but these units are powerful when it comes to contacts and calendars. There are also Symbian OS-based units like the SONY Ericsson P910 product family that may appeal to you. I've generally heard very good things about the SONY Ericsson product line.

They are 2 copies (identical) of the Adobe Flash Player installer, you (or someone else) downloaded them to the computer. If you have installed Flash delete them both, if you have not then delete one, install the other one and then delete it.

Is the iTunes equalizer NOT supposed to work with .m4v files?

I'm using a mid-2009 MBP5,5, Snow Leopard 10.6.8, iTunes 10.3.1(55). I notice that the equalizer works fine with AAC audio files, but has no effect with .m4v (mpeg-4) music videos purchased from the iTunes store. Does anyone know if this is normal or if not, what can be done to remedy it?
Just in case, I've repaired permissions, though it seems a waste of time as I can verify permissions afterwards and all the same problems are still there no matter how many times I repair them.

Firefox keeps downloading dlg.zip on occaision at startup, what is supposed to be done with this file ?

Every few days Firefox keeps downloading dlg.zip at startup meaning that my download manager catches this zip file at startup, I use IDM but the issue appears to be Firefox as there is a dlg folder in Firefox installation folder. What am I supposed to do with this zip file as it appears to contain exactly what is already in the installation folder.

Those folders seem to be related to a Conduit "community toolbar" add-on. If you check your add-ons list, do you have such an extension?

Problems with Aliases - files misplaced

All of the files in My Documents are Aliases. I need to recover or resent them to non-alias files. I know I can right click and "show original," but I don't know what I'm supposed to do with the original to get it back into My Documents. When I show the original and drag it to the desktop, I just end up with another alias on the desktop. I want to have replace all the alias files in My Documents with non-alias files. Help?

If you had to use FINDER to unlock them, then it wouldn't
have been anything
in DW. That's fairly typical for files that have been copied
from a CD,
though.
