A lot of sites require adobe flashplayer, please can anyone suggest an alternative

What can I use instead of Adobe Flash 9 on iPad mini?

There are a number of apps in teh app store that provide "translation" type services for flash content (iSwifter, Puffin are a couple, there may be more). Basically these apps take the flash video content and route it to a third server that converts it to a different format and then routes to your device. Reveiws are mixed and they may not work with all flash content.
Alternately, you might check to see if the specific sites youare visiting have their own apps.

  • What can i download instead of adobe flashplayer?

Can anybody tell me what i can use instead of Adobe flashplayer,i can't download it & have no idea what else to use, thanks.

What version of OS X are you using?  (If you're not sure of the version, use  > About This Mac, and see what version you have.)
Some additional details or some background on why you can't download Adobe Flash Player would be useful.  Are there any errors reported when you try to  ownload the installer from Adobe?  Do you have anti-virus or anti-malware tools installed?  Do the folks that maintain your systems and your network simply deny access to Adobe Flash Player (usually due to the many security vulnerabilities of Flash Player)?
If you want to view Adobe Flash content, then you will need to download and install Adobe Flash Player either as an add-on (and only downloaded directly from Adobe, as more than a few scalawags will offer fake Flash Player downloads and fake CODECs; those are usually some sort of malware), or the version of Adobe Flash Player that's integrated into the Google Chrome web browser.  (AFAIK, there's no good alternative to these for OS X, as the Flash format was proprietary to Adobe.)
If the content providers offer alternative formats in addition to Adobe Flash content, then you can sometimes use Safari extensions such as the ClickToPlugin to ask the web site to offer H.264 content in place of Adobe Flash, where that format is available from the content provider.

  • I get email with adobe ? Do not open attachment  what app can I use

Adobe  I get EMail. Can not open attachment (pictures etc) what apps can I use

Adobe is a company, not a file format. What format are the attachments? PDF? Flash? The former should open without any problem. The latter will not work on your iPad as there is no Flash plug in for iOS.
The more details you can give about your issue, the better the answers you'll get.
    Best of luck.

  • What apps can be used on the iPhone 3G?

My son has my old 3G & I'd like to know what communication apps can be used with that iOS...

Many apps now require iOS 5 and above.  Unfortunetaly iOS 4.2 is the highest for iPhone 3G.  I know there are a few apps like Pinger or Text Free or Text Plus that might be compatible.

    Welcome James!
For no cost, you can try the open-source productivy suite LibreOffice. I don't have any AW files here to test but there are reliable reports that LibreOffice can open at least some AW files:

Please turn off your caps lock key. All-caps text is harder for us to read and is considered "shouting" or "anger" by most internet text conventions. Thanks!

  • I would like to know what app can I use on a plane to find out on a map where the plane is flying over?

I have been many times on a plane and when I look out the window and I see something interesting I would like to know where is that place on a map, but all the map applications that I have require an internet connection to display the map.  I have downloaded some offline maps but they don't use the GPS to locate the place in the map.
Please tell me if there is an app that has offline maps where I can locate my current position while I am on a plane without internet connection.

TomTom, Garmin and others do this. But your problem is when you put your iPad in Airplane mode you will turn off the GPS chip.

  • What app can I use to upload pdf documents that cane read in ibooks?

Previously, with MobileMe, I have uploaded pdf files to iDisk and then opened them in iBooks on my iPad2.  Worked great.  Moving to iCloud, I can no longer upload to iDisk and must use (?) Pages, which will not open a pdf or allow me to move it to iBooks.  What am I doing wrong?  I need to open a pdf created on my iMAC in iBooks on my iPad2.  What is the best way to get it there?
    Thanks -

Drag the file to iTunes on your computer. Sync.
