What app works for a first gen ipad to get mail. I need an easy button put on it. So far yahoo and gmail aren't supporting my old ipad. Any ideas?

You could once you go to the gmail log in screen tap on the box at the bottom of the screen with the arrow pointing up and tap on add to home screen and you get a short cut to the login screen on your phone

I think Apple should probably have to take most seriously this problem, because this kind of video is high popular , besides retailers do not quote the warning that we will not be allowed to play this type of video

There is no guaranteed solution for the iPad as flash is not and probably never will be supported.
Apart from Skyfire there a browser apps such as iSwifter, Puffin and Photon which 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

First of all thank you so much for the answer solution to my having to place card information to download free app games on the App Store which I never had to so many times during my restoring even to brand new my practically brand new iPad with retina d.

Or will I need to reset my content and settings again? This would be my 4 or 5th time to need to do so. If so, is it better I get my iPad with retina display replaced? Not wait for it's value and brand new value to it go low. I got it for an x'mas gift just this January 19 ,2013 from family and if it's better I avail of the free shipping and handling on apple's returns and exchange, then I will do so. 1st generation touch, downloaded version 3.1.3, apps worked for an evening, now you tap them the screen blinks but the won't open. Are apps still possible on this old of touch? If so, how do I fix it?

I have a first gen Ipad. Every time I try to install an app i get a message saying i must have ios 6 or higher. Seems like after paying 850 bucks i should be able to find apps after two years!!

You could still get some apps in the app store. Some of them will require ios 6 or 7 only, as you said, but not all. Many of them still support ios 5.1.1 so make sure you update your ipad 1st gen to that (for example Good reader and Evernote's penultimate). Other apps do require ios 6 for their current version, but the developers will still give you the option to download the last version that was compatible with the ios version you have (apps such as Amazon kindle, facebook, twitter, gmail and google chrome are examples of this). If they do you should get the "download an older version" button when it tells you about the ios 6 requirement. Try these tips. They added some useful life to my ipad 1.

I have the same problem. Yahoo Sportacular aborts every time I try to open it. It attempts to load and then the device goes right back to the home screen. The problem started April 26 after I switched leagues from NHL to NBA. Closing all apps and Restarting doesn't solve solve the problem.
All other apps on the iPad work fine. IPad2, OS6.
Any other suggestions? I suppose I could delete the app from the iPad and try re-installing it

Unfortunately, most of my advice is in the "hindsight is 20-20" category.
First off, I would never have purchased the peripheral accessories until the 14 day return period had expired. Second, you learned the hard way what the "14 days" really means.
Too bad you didn't do any homework, reading this and other forums and tech sites. Even word of mouth from others. That, more than anything could have steered you towards different phone choices from the get-go and I will leave that there with no further comment other than to say most of the issues you described have been discussed in this forum, ad nauseam.
Once you got into the refurbished phone exchanges, that is where things really went haywire. What someone tells you over the phone is a sketchy proposition, and when it comes down to it, it's your word against theirs.
I think Verizon tried to make it right, though. Remember, they don't make the phones. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
You stated yourself you were a satisfied Verizon customer before this. Had the first two phones performed as they should, you would still be a satisfied Verizon customer.
Doubt any of that will make you any happier, but after you went through the effort of writing such a long post, I thought I'd try.

You can only sync to one iTunes Library/one computerbut you can manage music among different computers. See:
Using iPhone, iPad, or iPod with multiple computers
The only way to sync app from the desktop computer is to make that the syncing computer. You can't sync app from more than one iTunes Library/one computer.
To make the desktop computer the syncing computer you have to:
- get all apps and other item on the desktop computer
- Authorize the computer for the iTunes accounts inquestion
- Connect the iPod to the desktop computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and selecting Backup
- Restore the iPod from that backup

You should be able to install it. If the iBooks app isn’t in the purchase history of the iTunes account that is being used on it then try downloading the current version on your computer’s iTunes so that the app is in it. Then on your iPad go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app and see if you can download an older compatible version of it
