Second, you need some 3rd party software to rip and convert the DVD into a format that iTunes will import. Most people seem to use handbrake (it's free).

OS X Snow Leopard had a magical and invisible PowerPC emulation application, called Rosetta, that worked seamlessly in the background that still allowed older PowerPC coded software to still operate in a Intel CPU Mac.
The use of Rosetta ended with OS X Snow Leopard as the Rosetta application was licensed to Apple, from a software company called Transitive, which got bought out, I believe, by IBM and Appe could no longer secure their rights to continue to use Rosetta in later versions of OS X.
So, you would need to check to see if you have software on your Mac that maybe older than, say, 2006 or older.

If you have any commercial antivirus installed and/or hard drive cleaning apps installed on your Mac, like MacKeeper, CleanMyMac, TuneUpMyMac, MacCleanse, etc. now would be a good time to completely uninstall this apps by doing a Google search to learn how to properly uninstall these types of apps.

As for VirusScan, Barney is right on the money that it does not come preinstalled on any Mac shipped new from Apple. However you have gotten it, your best bet is removing it. OS 9 does not have a version 9.3.x so I am not sure what you are referring to unless that was a typo and you meant 10.3.x?

"ACR" being what, exactly? If you mean Adobe Camera Raw, 6.7 seems to be the most recent version available for Mac unless a later version is bundled with CS6, though this is a question best directed to Adobe for confirmation.

Is Acrobat X available for Mac?

We (my company) just upgraded to CS5, and I noticed it came with Pro 9. Is Acrobat X Pro available for Mac? I tried to download a Trial version and it directs me to a Windows download. I can not find a Mac download.
Any Ideas?

It is available for Mac yes but at this point, it hasn't been included in the suite. Normally the new Acrobat is included with a .5 release of the suite.
Unfortunately, they don't have trials for Mac either.
