What are all types of tables in EP

Hi,
May i know is there any spl tables in EP... when i search for that  i found only 3 types of ABAP tables but I want to know if we have any tables to use for EP.
And what is the GenericInterce in webdynpros and why should we use.
concept of webdynpros is to avoid writing coding so my question here is why should we learn of APIs in web dynpro.

  • What are all of these tables in my database using 10gEx?

Hi I just installed sql developer and managed to connect to my 10gEx
i see tens of tables and views in my databse , can i delete them and start to build my own tables ?
    why they have such un_well_structured_names like : AQ$_INTERNET_AGENT_PRIVS ?
can i build Schema in my database and use that Schema for my data ?
why those are not categorized in Schema , or maybe it is Sql developer fault that shows them like this ?
    Thanks

    Short answer:
    a) these are Oracle supplied tables. Don't mess with them.
    b) by all means. it is best practice to create a separate schema and keep your objects (tables, indexes, etc.) in that schema. in fact, build lots of schemas - one per application.
    Long answer:
Oracle has a bunch of support schemas that are delivered in typical installations.
You also want to look at the schema owner of these tables and views to get some idea of what they are and why they are used. For example:
    a) Userids:
CTXSYS:       Oracle Text feature and capabilities
    DBSNMP:       Oracle system management
    FLOWS_020100: Application Express
    FLOWS_FILES:  Application Express
HR:           Database and Application Express  'main & demo' user
MDSYS:        Oracle Locator feature and capabilities (subset of Spatial option)
    OUTLN:
    PUBLIC:       general public userid
SPATIAL:      Oracle Locator feature and capabilities (subset of Spatial option)
    SYS:          the database owner
    SYSTEM:       the database administrator
    TSMSYS:
XDB:          XML and HTTP features and capabilitiesStuff owned by SYS is sacrosanct – never, ever, change it directly. Especially anything that includes a '$' or a '#' in the name.
Some specific table prefixes and functionality
    AQ      – advanced queueing
    AUDIT   - system auditing
    CDC     - change data capture
DBMS    - generally the utility packages that make Oracle special
DIR     - directory support (I think)
    EXP     - export/import support
    HS      - heterogeneous services
    LOGMNR  - log miner
    SCHEDULE- scheduler
STREAMS - advanced queueing – streams component
XDB     - XML DBMost of these are documented in the feature related docco at http://www.oracle.com/pls/db102/portal.portal_db?selected=1 - a place you should visit often, once you are comfortable with the docco at http://www.oracle.com/pls/xe102/homepage

What are all the different account types?
    What is variance reporting?
Where you create exchange rate table?

Essbase provides two variance reporting properties—expense and non-expense. The default is non-expense. Variance reporting properties define how
Essbase calculates the difference between actual and budget data in members with the @VAR or @VARPER function in their member formulas.
When you tag a member as expense, the @VAR function calculates Budget - Actual.
For example, if the budgeted amount is $100 and the actual amount is $110, the variance is -10.
Without the expense reporting tag, the @VAR function calculates Actual - Budget. For example, if the budgeted amount is $100 and the actual amount is $110, the variance is 10

  • What are all the types of Function module?

    Hi,
What are all the types of Function module.
    Pls reply me.

    Hi,
Function modules are one element. There are no types. However sometimes an RFC enabled function module is referred to as RFC Function module, but really it is just a function module. Also BAPIs are function modules, but are usually referred to as just BAPI as opposed to BAPI Function module.
There is no different function module types , but calling the function module will be different.
    check this function calls syntax
    1. Calls a function module:
    - CALL FUNCTION func.
    2. Call a function module in a different mode (asynchronous Remote Function Call):
    - CALL FUNCTION func STARTING NEW TASK taskname.
    3. Call a function module in the update task:
    - CALL FUNCTION func IN UPDATE TASK.
    4. Call a function module in a remote system (Remote Function Call, RFC ):
    - CALL FUNCTION func DESTINATION dest.
    5. Asynchronous call to a function module with transactional processing (transactional Remote Function Call):
    - CALL FUNCTION func IN BACKGROUND TASK.
    qRFC with output queue
    6. Call a function module that can be activated in the context of enhancements:
    - CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION func.

The problem is with you answer, that it requires lots of manual work and that will bring lots of possible errors as well (and in case of transactions like VA01, "lots of" has to be understood as "LOTS OF")

Ex: If you not having authorization or correct inputs or Dont know the screen sequences for VA01, then how can you people can analize it from ST05?
St05 will only give you a list of DB tables, you don't have to be aware of screen sequences (I believe 99% of developers are not). And if you don't have authorizations, than you have to ask for it

  • What are the types of routines

    hi experts
can some one give me clear idea on what are the types of routine we use in sap bi
    with scenarios?
    what is CMC?
Please search the forum before posting a thread
Edited by: Pravender on Apr 7, 2011 12:56 PM

    Hi,
In BI 7.0 we have the following types of routines.
    1. Start Routine.
    2. End Routine.
    3. Expert Routine.
This routines can be used in the complex scenarios and to improve the performance of the loading time.
I am elaborating the routine in details here.
    1. Start Routine : whenever you create a start routine, the system will automatically give you some predefined data declaration like structure of the type of your source. In start routine you can declare a local data declaration and Global data declaration also. I will give one example.
Suppose you are creating Start routine for transformation from Datasource to DSO. Then when you create start routine the System will provide you a structure of your datasource. By using this structure it will also define an internal table which will be used as changing parameter of a method of a class. It is this changing parameter where you have to do all sorts of manipulation. The changing parameter is both export as well as import parameter. This changing parameter will contain data in the package wise.
In start routine you can also read some database table and store that data into an internal table and this internal table data can then be read in the field level routine. In this case it acts as a substitute of master data look up in the field level transformation.
    2. End routine : The end routine is also same as start routine, the only difference is that here the system will provide you with a structure of the target not the source. and rest is all same as start routine.
    3. Expert routine : This is the strongest and most complex of all routines. This allows you to design the entire data flow of the transformation. If you create an Expert routine the system will automatically delete all the field level mapping, Start routine and end routine. You also have to take care of the error handling and monitoring
    assign points if it helps
    Thanks & Regards,
    santo

  • What are all Built-in-Templets available in ODI?

What are all Built-in-Templets available in ODI?

    Hi Harmeet,
ODI's biggest asset is Knowledge module. This is the built in templates of ODI.
Knowledge Modules (KMs) are code templates. Each KM is dedicated to an individual task in the overall data integration process.
There are almost 6 types of KMs coming with ODI.
Reverse-engineering knowledge modules (RKM) are used for reading the table and other object metadata from source databases.
Journalizing knowledge modules (JKM) record the new and changed data within either a single table or view or a consistent set of tables or views.
Loading knowledge modules (LKM) are used for efficient extraction of data from source databases and include database-specific bulk unload utilities where available.
Check knowledge modules (CKM) Checks data integrity against CONSTRAINTS defined on a Datastore. Rejects invalid records in the error table created dynamically.
Integration knowledge modules (IKM) are used for efficiently transforming data from staging area to the target tables, generating the optimized native SQL for the given database.
Service knowledge modules (SKM) provide the ability to expose data as Web services.
You can see the list of KMs in your installation folder /impexp directory.
    Thanks,
    Guru

    Hi akshitha,
    1. A logical database is in fact
    a program only.
    2. This LDB provides two main things :
    a) a pre-defined selection screen
which handles all user inputs and validations
    b) pre defined set of data
    based upon the user selection.
    3. So we dont have to worry about from
    which tables to fetch data.
    4. Moreover, this LDB Program,
    handles all user-authorisations
and is efficient in all respects.
    5. tcode is SLDB.

    2. create a new z program.
    3. while creating type PNP
    in logical database field.
    4. paste this code and execute.
    REPORT ABC.

    Hi Nitchel
There are many ways to find out the user exits..
    For example for VA01.
    Goto Transaction ie VA01:
    goto System-- Status
doubleclick on the program name ie SAPMV45A
SE38 -> Enter the program name and in the program( SAPMV45A) goto -- attributes
get the package name from here ie VA
note the package(VA) and get back to main screen
goto SMOD tcode  and click on find button in the package spec giv the package name ie VA and execute it
you will find list of exits available
check out the exit that suits ur requirement
goto cmod and create a new project and implement in that user exit.
You will get the following exits in SMOD..
SDTRM001  Reschedule schedule lines without a new ATP check

  • What is watch point and break points?what are there types?

what is watch point and break points?what are there types?

    Static Breakpoints
Static breakpoints are always user-independent if there is no specification of a user name. Once a user has inserted the statement BREAK-POINT or BREAK name in an ABAP program, the system always interrupts the program at that point for that user or only for the user name. This procedure is only useful in the development phase of an application when program execution is always to be interrupted at the same place. For more information, refer to the chapter Static Breakpoints.
In HTTP sessions, a static breakpoint is skipped if you did not set additional dynamic HTTP breakpoints in the editor of a BSP page. Instead, a corresponding system log entry is written, which can be checked using transaction SM21.
    Dynamic Breakpoints
Dynamic breakpoints are user-specific. Therefore, you should use them if you only want the program to be interrupted when you run it yourself, not when it is being executed by other users. All dynamic breakpoints are deleted when you log off from the R/3 System.
Dynamic breakpoints are more flexible than static breakpoints because you can deactivate or delete them at runtime. They have the following advantages:
    · You do not have to change the program code.
    · You can set them even when the program is locked by another programmer.
    · You can define a counter that only activates the breakpoint after it has been reached.
Special dynamic breakpoints are useful when you want to interrupt a program directly before a particular ABAP statement, a subroutine, or an event, but do not know exactly where to find it in the source code. Event here is used to refer to the occurrence of a particular statement, for example, or calling up a method. Special dynamic breakpoints are user-specific. You can only set them in the Debugger. For more information, refer to the chapter Dynamic Breakpoints.
In HTTP sessions, the system stops both at static and dynamic breakpoints if a dynamic breakpoint was set in the editor of a BSP page before program execution.
Watch point are used to put logical break point for a certain condition..Example..If you want to know when the internal table is getting append..Then you have to give the program name and the internal table in the watch point..
Steps to create a watch point.
    Start debugging '/H'.
In the debugging screen press the create watch point button in the application tool bar..
In the program give the program name..
in the field give the field name.
In the relational operator given '='
In the comp. field/value give the value ..
    Hope this helps..
