I free downloaded Handbrake 0.8.0b1 to my 10.4.9 Mac OSX intending to download a DVD of home 8mm movies, that had been compiled by comm. photo shop, so that I could use iMovie & iDVD programmes to create new DVDs of segments of the 8mm movies. Can't find basic instructions on how to run Handbrake. When I open it the menu is mostly greyed out, so I have little or no choice. Tried downloading parts of the DVD several times, and only once did it register a file (in desktop) which I was able to open. I subsequently lost that by trying to move its destination. Other times a destination for the download is shown in the menu, (greyed out) but it isn't registered anywhere on the hard drive, nor shown on the desktop. So I would appreciate learning the elementary abc's of the steps to use that software.

It looks like you are new to BOBJ. BI is the service name and BOBJ is the product name in SAP.
Since you have not mentioned your version of BOBJ, I assume you are in the latest version...
To date, there is no direct connectivity available between ECC and BI 4.0 (current release of BOBJ).
You may need to use one of some of the following ways:
1. Using Plug and play Rapid marts (using Data Services)
2. Build your own custom marts (using Data Services)
3. Building SAP BW and using SAP integration kit
Having said, there is a plan for direct connectivity between SAP ECC and BI 4.0 in the upcoming enhancement to BI 4.0.

Legality aside (I'm not a lawyer and have no opinion on the matter) in order to make a purchase of an iPhone 5 you would need to travel to a country where they are for sale and purchase it there. Be sure to get one that is officially unlocked or you would not be able to use it with your cell carrier. Be sure that your carrier supports use of the iPhone before you buy. Also note that the warranty of the iPhone is only valid in the country of purchase.

See here for creating tablespaces http://www.adp-gmbh.ch/ora/sql/create_tablespace.html.
You can specify as many (or as few) datafiles as you like.
Then create tables in your new tablespace x_old_table_name(s) - you can Google this.
Then select the data from old_table_name(s) into x_old_table_name(s).
Drop old_table_name(s)
Rename x_old_table_name(s) old_table_name(s).
There may be a better way.

I have updated to mavericks from mountain lion and well to say the least, my 2011 macbook pro has been running slower than what it should be. I have been reading forums that other people are having problems as well and was able to fix some of them by doing uninstalling their os and reinstalling it for a clean install. So my question is what do i need to do before i reinstall the os, will my files be safe? Also what are the steps i need to take to reinstall the os?

A clean install means you'll have to re-install all third party apps from scratch and migrate nothing. Your files will not survive a clean install, so be sure you have a good backup to copy them back after.
Are you sure the issue is with the system and not just something in your user account? Have you tried logging into your Guest account and see how it works, or try starting in Safe Mode and see if the problem still occurs?
Restart holding the "shift" key.
(Expect it to take longer to start this way because it runs a directory check first.)

What are EXACT STEPS for giving an applet unrestricted access?

My company has developed a library for Java applications, and it's packaged in a jar file. We recently needed to create an applet to put on our website to demo the library's functionality. However, because it wasn't designed to be used in an applet, we get all kinds of security violations when running it in a web browser (reading system properties, reading Preferences API, reading local files, etc.)
What we want is a really simple way for our potential customers to run this applet and give it permission to do whatever. We're a trustworthy company so they will be willing to accept an applet signed by us. However, they will not be willing (or even know how) to modify security policy files on their local machine.
Can an applet signed by us get these permissions without the end user having to modify their policy file? I tried signing the applet using the techniques from

Frankly I think Sun has failed miserably with regards to applet security - they made it incredibly difficult to do correctly and they provide no documentation on how to do it. So here's the question: once and for all, can anyone provide a list of the exact steps necessary to give an applet permissions?

Only one my comment. You should sign all jars that your applet requires.

I used a musical track from my iLife musical library in FCPX and when I posted the video on YouTube it was claimed by a third party. The track is called "Elysium". So are the music and sound libraries free from copyright claim?

That's the rub. Everybody has the impression they can use Apple Loops as if they're open source or public domain... They are so not. They are free from royalties! That's a completely different thing.
You do have the right to use those "jingles" in your video works for free. You do need to give credit to the third party contributors of content you've used in your videos.
I find that placing a credit *in your video* like:
Music: Elysium by Apple, Inc. Used with (or by) permission.
or
Music: Elysium licensed by Apple, Inc.
helps out considerably.
(All of the iLife Jingles are credited to Apple, Inc.)
(You can use any kind of formatting you like for displaying credits -- you can make it an interesting part of your video as done in some higher end movies, etc.)
YouTube needs to cover their a**. Your videos need to have a little professionalism added to them (credits are de rigueur [good etiquette, and expected.]) I'm pretty sure that YouTube puts human eyes on every upload. I place credits at the very beginning and the videos usually "clear" rather quickly.
One of the problems with using "Apple Loops" is that somebody has already beat you to using them. Content matches cover everything. I've had content matches against people who have actually violated the end user agreement for using the loops (there's a clause that basically states that loops shall not be made available to the public in their entirety without modification.) It's okay to use loops in a derivative type setting (something is added to the soundtrack with the music to make it "changed".) [I don't think Apple pushes the point... but others might.]
YouTube doesn't really care what you use. They just need to make sure their liability is zero. Credit everything. Be truthful (you've got to cover your own a** as well.) If you don't have permission to use something... DON'T!
YouTube has an Audio Library of free content you can use (without credit! — but give the credit anyway [professionalism]) in their content Creation Tools section located at the bottom of the left column of your Account pages (Video Manager, Dashboard, etc.) It's a pretty decent selection of music... you should check it out.

I couldn't proceed further beyond step 3 after following the instruction in OAF Developer's Guide, Chapter 9, Common BC4J Extension, page 890.
In Step 3, it says...
Create a new view object that extends the parent VO (you create the extended VO just as you would any other view object with the following difference: specify the name of the parent VO in the Extends View Object field in the first page of the wizard). Be sure to follow the naming standard described above.
Note that the parent VO package must be included in your project before you can extend the parent VO.
The issue I have now is, during the creation of a new VO, I need to extend the parent VO. However, I do not see any parentVO in the Parent window for me to select.
I want to know what are the initial steps or normal steps you usually do when extending a OAF page, so I know where I missed.

I am new to speedgrade, and need to use the Camera and Color Space Matching technique to automatically color correct my sequence which contains footage from multiple cameras. I have watched all the videos on speedgrade on AdobeTV and lynda.com that I can find, but haven't been able to find one that actually shows me how to do so. Can anyone point me to a video/tutorial where I could learn the steps for the process or outline them for me if that is easier?

I'm in the same boat. There is a new 'camera matching' function that premiered at NAB 2013, but when will it be actually available...? As to your original question, look up getting a proper White and Black balances with each camera first. Learn how to work with HSL and RGB values etc, and I think Karl Seoule has some videos that cover this under 'Color Finesse' vids at Adobe TV. Also check out the '3-Way Color Corrector' tuts and "Secondary Color Correction' tuts as well. And finally either on Adobe TV or Creative Cow there is on video that actually talks about matching either 2 shots or 2 cameras as well.
All this is to say here is no easy/simple way. I'm hoping when Adobe introduces the Color Matching in Speed Grade we can just use stills as reference in Speed Grade, develop 'looks' that match the cameras and then apply the looks in Premiere without having to use the huge .dpx files that we have to use in Speed Grade now, but that may just be part of the process.
