Tecra A9 - What are the changes in the new Bios update
Can someone tell me the changes in the actualy BIOS Update v1.70 and the old ones?
And is there a PDF outside where i can see the detailed description about the Bios functions?
Thanks
GreetingsSo, until now my question has no answer!
In the US Forum is the Service from Toshiba is much more better ->
[BIOS details|http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_dtlViewDL.jsp?soid=1978903&moid=1702318&rpn= PTS53U&BV_SessionID=@@@@2130665852.1205800119@@@@& BV_EngineID=cccjadedikgfkdgcgfkceghdgngdgmn.0&ct=D L&all_docs=false]
I also must send my Tecra A9 to the support to change my DVD-Burner (Teac) and it taks 3 Weeks.
I am not very happy with this support at all!
Now Toshiba has released a new Bios Update v2.10 and i didn't now what are the changes.

Satellite A500 - What are the changes in BIOS 1.90
Hi,
I own a Satellite A500 PSAR3A-026002. It has BIOS version 1.50, on the Toshiba website it shows the latest version as 1.90. I'd like to know what has been changed from 1.50 to 1.90 but can't find the information anywhere. Just wondering if anyone could tell me the changes or point me to a website that has them.
Not planning on updating BIOS at this stage as everything is running fine, just curious as to what they updated, fixed or added.Hi Triker,
Which cool features you mean?
BIOS updates means only bug fixing and thats all. Its not known to me that new cool features will be added because features like Virtualization are depending on CPU and chipset. If the hardware doesnt support certain features, they are not supported and BIOS update will not help you.
Of course we can discuss a long time about this but fact is that Toshiba doesnt provide this changelog file and we can do nothing.
If you think its so important, maybe an authorized service provider can help you an answer your question because they have access to Toshiba databases. -

WHAT **EXACTLY** ARE THE CHANGES AND ARE YOU FORCING ME TO ACCEPT THEM?
I have found that updates and upgrades are more for the developer and user benefits are merly incidental.

What are the changes / enhancements / or possible bugs in LR 5 Auto Tone
Can anyone explain what, if any, changes, enhancements, or possible bugs were introduced in the functionality of Auto Tone since LR ver. 5.0. The reason I ask is that I get different results for the Exposure and Contrast adjustments when applying Auto Tone (using ver. 5.3) from the results (using ver.5.0) shown in the book "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 CIB" in the "Using Quick Develop in the Library module" section, step 4 on page 37. (This difference in results between LR versions was confirmed by the authors of LR5CIB.)
I'm not sure about any new bugs but the radical exposure mis-calculations have been improved. I had photos that were over exposed to 5 (and even 10, believe it or not) that were exposed to a more appropriate 2 or so following the improvements (in Lr5.2 if memory serves). It's also less likely to radically underexpose.
Enjoy, (in my opinion, it's much better)
I think there may have even been further improvement in Lr5.3 but I can't swear to it - seems to preserve a little more contrast than in 5.2 - could be my imagination..

New Quicktime 7.1 - What are the changes exactly? I am looking...
May 11, 2006 - QuickTime 7.1 is an important release that delivers numerous bug fixes, support for iLife ’06, and H.264 performance improvements. This update is highly recommended for all QuickTime 7 users.
Thanks to Karl Peterson:
What’s new in QuickTime Player
Both the free QuickTime Player and QuickTime Pro provide a host of new features. New in QuickTime Player:
• H.264 video support
This state-of-the-art, standards-based codec delivers exceptional-quality video at the lowest data rate possible, across data rates ranging from 3G to HD and beyond.
• Live resize
Playback continues smoothly as you change the size of the QuickTime Player window.
• Zero-configuration streaming
You no longer need to set your Internet connection speed in QuickTime Preferences. QuickTime automatically determines the best connection speed for your computer. If a connection is lost during streaming, QuickTime automatically reconnects to the server.
• Surround sound
QuickTime Player can now play up to 24 channels of audio. With QuickTime 7, your Mac, and surround speakers, you can enjoy the full effect of your surround sound movie or game.
• New and improved playback controls
Use the new A/V Controls window to adjust settings for the best viewing experience. Easily change settings including jog shuttle, playback speed, bass, treble, and balance.
• Spotlight-friendly media
New in Mac OS X v10.4, Spotlight makes it easy to find your QuickTime content. Spotlight can search for movie attributes such as artist, copyright, codec, and so on.
• Screen reader compatibility
Using VoiceOver, included with Mac OS X v10.4, visually impaired users can enjoy QuickTime Player features.
• All-new content guide
The all-new QuickTime Content Guide provides the latest in entertainment on the Internet.
• Easy access to QuickTime Pro
When you use the free QuickTime Player, features available only in QuickTime Pro display a “Pro” by their names. If you choose one of these items, you’ll see a definition of the feature and learn how to upgrade to QuickTime Pro.
QuickTime 7 Pro users enjoy not only all the great features in QuickTime Player, but also the following new QuickTime Pro capabilities:
• Record audio and video
With a digital video camera connected to your computer, you can quickly create vido postcards to share with family and friends.
• Share movies
Easily create a movie file for sending via email or posting to a website.
• Floating controls
Full-screen mode now provides floating DVD-like controls for easy access to functions like pause, play, fast-forward, and rewind. Move your mouse and the full-screen controller appears on the screen for several seconds.
• Create H.264 video
Use this codec for all your video encoding needs. Create content ranging in size from HD (high definition) to 3G (for mobile devices), and everything in between.
• Create surround audio
Create a rich multimedia experience for your customers by adding multi-channel audio to your movie. If some of your customers don’t have surround speakers, don’t worry; QuickTime automatically mixes the audio to work with the speaker setup of each user.
• Concurrent exports
Export multiple files at once—and continue with your next playback or editing task.
• Improved movie authoring
Editing tasks are much easier with new hot keys for in and out points. In addition, the Movie Properties interface has been completely redesigned to facilitate simple and efficient movie authoring.
• New AAC constant-quality mode
Create AAC audio files optimized for constant quality rather than a constant bit rate for a consistently high-quality listening experience.
• Conform to Aperture
View a movie’s aperture mode, and choose to have the movie conform to new aperture settings, including pixel shape.
• Deinterlace Source Video
When exporting with the Movie to QuickTime Movie option, you can now deinterlace the video by setting an option in Export Size settings.
• 3G streaming
Create 3G files for RTSP streaming that are fully interoperable with other 3G streaming handsets and delivery architectures.
• Automator-compliant
With Mac OS X v10.4, employ the easy-to-use interface of Automator for streamlining your QuickTime workflow. QuickTime 7 Pro users have exclusive access to a set of QuickTime-based Automator actions for easily automating such tasks as starting and stopping captures, hinting movies, enabling tracks, and more. The combination of Automator and QuickTime 7 Pro also lets you create your own set of personalized QuickTime-based Automator actions.
O.K. I found the new export options ROCK!

What are the changes to be done on BW end during hardware change of source system?
Hello Gurus,
There is some hardware changes happening and I need help in certain things which I need to do from BW point of view. First of all, I have attached a figure showing my system landscape. I would kindly request you to go though the fig first.
For QA, initially we were using AG3 as the source system, now they have made the hardware changes, made a system copy of AG3 into the new system AEQ. We have connected our BW QA system to this new system AEQ. Now when I check the system, there are no data in set up tables (I am using SD and MM), but there are data in tables. But when I replicate data sources from AEQ to BW QA, the existing transformations and DTPs will disappear. So, that left me with 2 options-
1. Either transport old transformation and DTP from BW DEV to BW QA
2. Or create new transformation and DTP in BW QA system.
Can you experts please suggest me what should be the solution?
Also, please note that, the basis team started the hardware changes with ECC QA system for some reason. Once ECC QA is fine, they are planning to make the changes in ECC DEV system (from AG2 to AED). Currently, AG2 is connected to BW DEV and AEQ is connected to BW QA.
Can you please suggest me whether there will be any issue if we opt to transport transformation and DTP from BW DEV to BW QA when BW DEV is still connected to old source system? Or, is there any other easy way to sort this out? Please suggest?
Thanks a lot
RakeshHi,
1. Either transport old transformation and DTP from BW DEV to BW QA?
Yes, better to transport from bw dev to bw qa
2. Or create new transformation and DTP in BW QA system?
at BW Quality, creation may not be possible. Better to transport from bw dev to bwq.
or use standard abap program to activate transformations and dtp.
When changes are applying at source then you just need to take care the delta queues
clear all queues by running related V3 jobs and delta info packs. make them as 0 count.
once basis team was done changes later try to check your delta loads at bwq .

What are configuration steps in implementation for make to order?
please give the steps for normal production also.
Hi,
Below is the requested info:
Make-to-Order (MTO) Production
Purpose
The planning strategies explained in this section are designed for the production of a material for a specific individual sales order. In other words, you do not want to produce finished products until you receive a sales order. This means that make-to-order strategies always support a very close customer-vendor relationship, because your sales orders are closely linked to production.
The same relationship exists between the sales order and production that exists in a make-to-order environment. Make-to-order is also used in the following environments.
Production using variant configuration
Assemble-to-order
Prerequisites
Choose a make-to-order strategy, if:
The materials are segregated. In other words, they are uniquely assigned to specific sales orders.
Costs must be tracked at sales order level and not on material level.
Make-to-order strategies should always be combined with lot-size key EX (lot-for-lot. Rounding values should not be used. If you maintain rounding values, they have no effect due to the make-to-order properties of these strategies.
Process Flow:
There are extensive options that enable you to procure components especially for specific sales order items.
You may, however, want to use a different planning strategy to procure components without sales orders. This allows you to keep your replenishment lead time to a minimum. You can do this by:
Planning on the basis of the finished product (see Planning Without Final Assembly (50) or Planning with a Planning Material (60))
Planning at component level (see Strategies for Planning Components)
Using consumption-based or Kanban-controlled components
Customer stock can exist on any BOM level. See Stockkeeping at Different BOM Levels for more information.
Because production is closely linked to sales orders, this results in a customer section in the stock/requirements list.
Unplanned goods receipts (such as returns) cannot, as a rule, be used for other sales orders, even if they are in working order, unless they are adapted to meet a customer's needs.
In the basic make-to-order strategy, Make-to-Order Production (20), no specific product structures are required. This means that it does not matter if the material has a BOM or not. The material can be produced in-house, or it can be procured externally. No planning is involved in this strategy.
Planning Without Final Assembly (50) and Planning with a Planning Material (60) do require a specific product structure (i.e. a BOM, which means materials are always produced in-house). These planning strategies assume that you want to plan procurement (production or purchasing) of your components by planning the finished products. This means that you need to have a fairly stable demand for your finished products. If, however, you can plan more easily at component level than at finished product level, see Strategies for Planning Components.
Configuration Settings:

What are detected changes in tfs vs 'changes'
Hello,
I've done a lot of changes in our tfs collection like creating different branches and renaming/moving stuff, and change our primary workspace from server to local (vs2013).
After checking in EVERYTHING from inside VS, when I'm issuing the command 'tf status', it returns a lot of changes, and the final line tels me "0 change(s), 3858 detected change(s)" (every change is an 'add' type) . I've never seen
that. what does it mean, that difference betwee 'changes' and 'detected changes' ? When I check from pending changes from VS it shows ZERO changes.
Also, I've seen that 'tf status' has a toogle '[/nodetect]' that our beloved docs at msdn do not explain, they only mention it (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/9s5ae285.aspx)... What's the point for that option ?
Thanks in advance,
Roger TranchezHi Roger,
take a look at this blog post (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/phkelley/archive/2013/05/29/server-workspaces-vs-local-workspaces.aspx)
While edits in a local workspace can be pended implicitly just by editing the file, adds and deletes still must be explicitly pended. However, TFS version control’s workspace scanner also detects new files which are ‘candidates’ for addition, and missing
files and folders which are candidates for deletion. The Team Explorer’s Pending Changes Page has a link which shows the number of detected adds and deletes, and provides a link to the Promote Candidate Changes dialog which can be used to pend ‘real’ adds
or deletes on these items. This is called “promoting” the candidate adds and/or deletes – because they become real pending changes.
Detect Changes comes from local Workspace.

What are Registry changes after kb2461249
Hi,
I need to know what registry changes happen after I install kb2461249. I need this info to complete my patch package. it would be also helpful if I get to know instead, if any files change their version specifically after this kb install. I looked into the
kb article but upto my knowledge I don't have any strong opinion form there.sorry for getting back late.
so based on your answer what I understand is whatever the file version listed on the KB article is what the file will change into after the kb install. but I had seen these stay same before and after install. So I am looking for changes with x64 windows
server 2008 R2. is there a file version change that you want me to point to?

What are the changes in 4.02?
What changed with the new OS?
The iOS 4.0.2 Software Update includes a new security update and the iOS 4.0.1 improvement to the signal strength formula for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G. The real signal strength remains the same, but the bars on iPhone will indicate it more precisely. That's it, with the security update being the most important.
