  • How to find out what are the interfaces used for Job and Job Codes

    HI All,
    I just wanted to know how do we find out what are the interfaces used for Job and Job codes .

    Hi,
    Here is an idea for your request.
    Basically you can create a simple query on multiprovider 0TCT_MC01.
    Filter: you can use a variable for restriction of time ( calday, or calmonth) since you should be interested for a time period.
    Choose following characters into your objects:
    InfoProvider ( 0TCTIFPROV )  - you can create a variable for choosing infoprovider before query runs.
    *Tp.[Type of BI Application Object] 0TCTBISOTYP  = filter this with 'QUERY' or whatever your need is.
    *BI Application Object 0TCTBISBOBJ,  ( this will give you the name of the queries)
    In key figures choose,  Count for BI Appl. (0TCTWTCOUNT).
    (number for query run)
    Create a condition , for top 20.
    Hope this helps.

    Benje001,
    Right-click on the CWAI control on your form. Choose Properties. The first tab is the Channels tab. After you choose your device from the drop down box on the right, you can type in the Channels box which channel you want to use.
    If you want to see a CWAI control that is already configured, all of the shipping examples will have this already done.
    Also, if you have questions about any item on the CWAI (or any other NI ActiveX control) you can click the ? icon in the right corner of the properties page and then click on the item in the dialog that you need help with. This "What's this" help will describe that particular control on the dialog.
    Hope that helps!

  • What are the materials used for the earbuds/earphones??

    What are the materials used for the earbuds/earphones?? Like whats the plastic used and what are the speaker materials and the volume button???

    Hello Veronica176
    The materials in Apple headphones include Neodymium magnets, oxygen-free electrolysis copper wire and a Nickel plated plug
    Apple uses Neodymium magnets in their headphones as it is much more magnetic compared to that of a ferrite magnet. This also further enhances the accoustics of sound and preventing any loss of sound. Because of this, you can get the same sound out of Apple headphones as the good ol' circum-aural headphones (image attached).
    Oxygen free copper wire is created through electrolysis which is furthermore considered an above average material for headphones, thus ensuring better sound quality. Oxygen free copper wire ensures a faster transfer time (as copper is one of the best conductors) and because of this, allows a faster transfer time, minimising loss. This means the sound quality of the music/sound playing may actually depend more on the quality of the MP3 file than the headphones.
    The nickel plated plug used by Apple is a standard connection and joins to a female connection into the iPod (for example) which is also nickel plated. Where gold plated plugs are renowned to transfer more data and superior sound quality when connected to any device. Connecting the same metals during transfer (nickel plated plugs and nickel female connections) ensures optimum sound as the signal will not be jumping different kinds of metal. The lack of gold plating also helps to reduce the cost in manufacturing and to the customer.

  • What are X_ tables used for?

    We are seeing an X_ table for each of our tables, i.e. for LAP030 we also see an X_LAP030, for ABH200 we also see an X_ABH200.
    They don't have any rows in them. The "describe" exactly like the base tables do.
    How are they created and what are they used for?
    version info:
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Prod
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    CORE 10.2.0.1.0 Production
    TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production

    Yes, it is Workspace Manager. We see the usual tables and views that we expect from OWM, e.g. AUX, HIST, etc. We've been using OWM for about 10 years and have never seen these X_ tables. I usually read the OWM App. Dev. guide each time we migrate to a new version because we have a COTS app (Intergraph's GTM) that layers on top of OWM. So we have to be very aware of the new functionality. And I didn't see anything in there about the X_ tables.
    We work in a very open environment for our development group and we are beginning to suspect that someone just went in and created them manually for some reason. They are only seen in one schema on the database.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • What are type defs used for?

    I am learning about type defs and wanted to ping the community to get a feel for what expanse of things they are useful for.  Any and all comments are welcome.

    Don't forget Kudos for Good Answers, and Mark a solution if your problem is solved.

    I found this (from LV Help) enlightening as to the differences between typedefs and strict typedefs:
    Type Definitions and Strict Type Definitions
    Use type definitions and strict type definitions to link all the instances of a custom control or indicator to a saved custom control or indicator file. You can make changes to all instances of the custom control or indicator by editing only the saved custom control or indicator file, which is valuable if you use the same custom control or indicator in several VIs.
    Type Definitions
    Type definitions identify the correct data type for each instance of a custom control or indicator. When the data type of a type definition changes, all instances of the type definition automatically update. In other words, the data type of the instances of the type definition change in each VI where the type definition is used. However, because type definitions identify only the data type, only the values that are part of the data type update. For example, on numeric controls, the data range is not part of the data type. Therefore, type definitions for numeric controls do not define the data range for the instances of the type definitions. Also, because the item names in ring controls do not define the data type, changes to ring control item names in a type definition do not change the item names in instances of the type definition. However, if you change the item names in the type definition for an enumerated type control, the instances update because the item names are part of the data type. An instance of a type definition can have its own unique label, description, default value, size, color, or style of control or indicator, such as a knob instead of a slide.
    If you change the data type in a type definition, LabVIEW converts the old default value in instances of the type definition to the new data type, if possible. LabVIEW cannot preserve the instance default value if the data type changes to an incompatible type, such as replacing a numeric control or indicator with a string control or indicator. When the data type of a type definition changes to a data type incompatible with the previous type definition, LabVIEW sets the default value of instances to the default value for the new data type. For example, if you change a type definition from a numeric to a string type, LabVIEW replaces any default values associated with the old numeric data type with empty strings.
    Strict Type Definitions
    A strict type definition forces everything about an instance to be identical to the strict type definition, except the label, description, and default value. As with type definitions, the data type of a strict type definition remains the same everywhere you use the strict type definition. Strict type definitions also define other values, such as range checking on numeric controls and the item names in ring controls. The only VI Server properties available for strict type definitions are those that affect the appearance of the control or indicator, such as Visible, Disabled, Key Focus, Blinking, Position, and Bounds.
    You cannot prevent an instance of a strict type definition from automatically updating unless you remove the link between the instance and the strict type definition.

  • What are these fonts used for?

    InDesign CS4 has a list of fonts that are set apart from other fonts with horizontal divider lines. The preview under the Type > Fonts menu shows foreign language characters for most of the fonts. Yet, if these fonts are applied to text, standard English characters are displayed. What would one use these fonts for?

    Yet, if these fonts are applied to text, standard English characters are displayed.
    Well, yes, because changing the font should not change the character set -- i.e., changing the text "Russian" to a font containing Cyrillic should not change the text to "Русский". It's just circumstantial these fonts also contain Latin characters; if they wouldn't, the text would change to pink boxes (indicating 'missing glyph').
    The fonts are set apart because ID uses some sort of classification, probably based on the Unicode coverage per font; it seems to group per script. Browsing my list, I see separations between fonts for Chinese, Japanese, Korean (?), Arabic, Thai, and Hebrew.

  • What are BC4J properties used for? ( Properties )

    Hi, I've been looking into <properties> tag in BC4J. I'm looking after runtime validation of attributes.
    A definition I found was the following:
    Properties are name/value pairs of type string that you can use as metadata to drive runtime behavior.
    Is it possible to enforce business rules validation using properties? I'm not allowed to touch the entity attributes of my EOs, so I thought these properties could help me in some way.
    any related documentantion is also highly appreciated.
    thanks

    You can use properties for pretty much anything. I am using a property to define UI behaviour. For example, a certain set of fields should be displayed in a certain way. I have defined a property called UIHint with a value of TextAreaDisabled for these fields. In my client code (JSP page) I just the properties of each field, if it has a property called UIHint and it is set to TextAreaDisabled then I do some action on that.
    I set the property in the properties tab of the Entity Object. I retrieved it in the JSP page like this:
    //Inside an iterator called def
    thisIndex = def.getIndex();
    ViewObject myVO =dsShow.getRowSet().getViewObject();
    // get the property UIHint for this field (thisIndex)
    String thisProperty = (String)myVO.getAttributeDef(thisIndex).getProperty("UIHint"));
    if ("TextAreaDisabled".equalsIgnoreCase(thisProperty) { %>
    do some stuff here ...
    I don't have any text on the matter, I just figured this stuff out. Hope it gives you a good starting point!

  • What are you folks using for watermarking?

    Looking for answers...
    Thanks in ad vance for any help.
    Karl

    I am using watermarking. The nice thing about it is that you can setup an export preset that includes the watermark... so if I am exporting the picture to be used in a website I include the watermark, but if it is for printing I don't.
