How to remove Requirement of SL in Delivery for a particular Sales area

Hi Friends
I have customised supplementary order type, delivery type and billing type. In supplemntary delivry item category, the relevance for picking, storage location required, determine storage location, fields are unchecked. It works well with a particular customr and for a particular sales area, particular materials. In delivery, we have PGI and saved delivery. Delivry did not have picking and it did not ask for any storage location.
But when I am trying to create the same supplementary order type for a different customer and different sales area and scrap material, the delivery has no picking but its asking for storage location to do PGI. Pls tell me what I have to do to remove the requiremnt for storage location in delivery for this particular sales area.

In VL01N, in delivery item, for scrap material, item category is coming as ZSUP. Because the item category for delivery is also maintained as ZSUP. In this Item category, the fields mentioned below are deactivated.
Relevant for picking
SLOC required
Determine SLOC
In material master for scrap, in Sales org2, item category grp is NORM, like all other material.
Thus storage location is not supposed to come in VL01n as a required field.
But in delivery item category determination, i did not find this item category zsup. But when I was making supplementary delivery for other materials, the system did not ask any storage location and supplymentary delivery is duly created. here we delivering from an order not SA.

BP replication not happening for a particular sales area.

The BP's created for one particular sales area are not getting replicated into CRM, though before sometime it was happening.
The BP with the "general data", and "role of sold to party" only flows but not with the sales area. There is no BDoc error in the SMW01 either. While displaying BP for the role of sold to party, it shows "Sold-to-party(maintained)" but the sales area entries though maintained for this sales area in the ECC, do not flow to the CRM.
However for other sales areas it flows.
Where should I look to resolve this situation. All entries in PPOMA etc are rightly made and untouched.

1. Create a BP in CRM (with the sold-to party role) with the required Sales area and see if this customer when replicated to ECC has the relevant Sales Area. Ideally it should get replicated if all you middleware settings are fine.
2. See you have not set a filter for a specific Sales Area and becuase of that BP is getting replicate but not the sales area.

Generating XML from RPD for a particular SUbject Area

Hello All,
I have one requirement to generate the .xml file from the RPD for a particular subject area.
Uisng biserverxmlgen we can generate the .xml file for the entire rpd. But can it be specific to a subject area and its related BMM and Physical objects.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
Just open the rpd offline,
Go to Tools -> Utilities -> Generate Metadata Dictionary -> Execute
and then you will be asked to to select the target folder to save that. It might take some time if the repository is very big (but max 5mins)
once execution was successful, you will have a folder with the same name of repository. Select 'SubjectArea' in these folder where you will have all you presentation catalog folder and take only the folder which you want. Presentation catalog would be in extension 'PRCAT_SubjectAreaName0000'. You will have all the xml files.

Change the status of the notification center in iPhone programmatically or atleast read what the status is for a particular application

Is it possible to control and change the status of the notification center in iPhone for a particular application.
1)      In the application push notification is implemented.
2)      Once this application is installed we can see the app in the notification center.
3)      There is an option to ON or OFF
4)      In the application we need an option to check if the above option is ON or OFF.
5)      If the option is OFF we need to provide the user an alert stating that in the notification center has it option off and here we have to provide an option to user to switch ON the option at the notification center.

Well, I could find a fix for that.
My mistake was that 1: I wasn't getting the correct ntype code for my value list type. And 2: I wasn't giving the Id name.
The new result came as this:

In case anyone has this problem, you should check the collection of values internal id, that's the actual ntype code (the number you send on the second parameter).
But I could still use help having some advice on the Master Agreement elements handling (getting data from the master agreement or the data thas is being edited at the moment before saving).

No data in Application failure Analysis report for a particular application alone.

We are not able to get the data in Application Failure Analysis report from Appadvisor for a particular application(say ABC) alone, whereas it works fine for different application. Also,we could get the data from other reports(such

Is there any error message when you run Application Failure Analysis report for the specific application?
Does this application have any failure alerts?
You may also look into operation manager even logs to check is there any errors or warnings.

You can use Performance Monitor and add the required counters.

Below are the steps to monitor the process in Performance Monitor.
- Go to the Performance Monitor.
- Right-click on the graph and select "Add Counters".
- In the "Available counters" list, open the "Process" section by clicking on the down arrow next to it. Select "% Processor Time" (and any other counter you want).
- In the "Instances of selected object" list, select the process you want to track. Then click on "Add >>" button. Click on OK.

Limiting the no. of users for a particular application in Portal?

I want to know how this can be done. Following is the requirement:
1)I have an iView in Portal which is showing some BSP appliation. Now i want to restrict the no of users to only 600 for that particular iView only i.e. even though our portal can have 1000 concurrent users but if 600 concurrent users are already accessing that particular BSP iview, then the 601th user will not be allowed to access that iView & still browse around in portal. So whenevr any user goes out of the BSP application & the values goes less than 600, then only new users can go in.
2) same req as above but for diff kind of iviews i.e. PAR based, WebDynpro etc.
one thing i would like to clear is that the figure of 1000 is actually the portal session & the figure of 600 comes from the Backend sessions.So if the backend seesion through portal reaches 600, i have to stop showing the application,& instead show some message..
Any kind of ideas are welcome..

No. You would have to define the iView as URLIsolated and then redirect by using request.redirect(destinationString) to the original component, passing the parameters as request parameters to the destinationString.
We are just in contact with SAP why the J2EE RequestDispatcher does not work to include and if there at least is a workaround for embedded iViews.
All your proxy iView would do is getting the HttpSession, putting the session (or it's ID) in a static HashSet, registering by this (implementing HttpSessionBindingListener) through setAttribute to the session, reacting on valueUnbound (removing the session/ID from the HashSet) and counting the number of members in the static HashSet. I think this will need about 20 ms (plus redirect).

How to capture the process type for a particular application

In my application CRMD_BUS2000120 there are 3 process types namely incidents, zcomplaints and zrepair order. But all the 3 display the same description as New: Incidents . Since this is attached with the application name. How can i change the description according to the process type i select. If I select incidents the description should be Incident , if i select zcomplaints it should be zcomplaints. Can anyone guide me how to do this.

Hi Fred,
If you open any activities or opportunities, you can see the description if you select new button and click on the process type. It will be display Activities and below that New: Activity. Instead of always displaying the same description I want to override the description according to the process type. For me the application is not activity but Incident. Hope I am clear with the question.

What r the default permissions for rooted folders (/Applications & etc.)?

i've got corrupted attributes for /Applications folder (no user/no group owner), which were not corrected with disk utility Repair permissions.
So i'd like to correct them manually.
Could anyone tell me about default attributes for rooted folders? (/Applications, /Library, /System and etc.)
Or may be a link to some manual where i could find that out?

from my notes:
The sticky bit should be set on the root "/" folder of the drive.
The correct permissions for the root drive are
owner:root, group:admin, chmod:1775
#these must be set in single user mode, you cannot set these while booted#
Boot into single user mode:
mount -uw /
chown root:admin /
chmod 1775 /
reboot
After rebooting Set the following Directory permissions:
/Applications; root:admin, chmod 0775
/Developer; root:admin, chmod 0775
/Library; root:admin, chmod 1775
/System; root:wheel, chmod 0755
/Users; root:admin, chmod 0755
Run the following commands on the /Applications directory:
sudo chmod -R -N /Applications
#clears out any ACL's, there should be no ACL's on your apps#
sudo chown -R :admin /Applications/*
#Sets group to admin on all your apps note: do NOT change owner.#

I am developing a Web 2.0 website in JAVA. But I am little confused in deciding upon the technologies to be used.
I would like to use the following technologies in my application but not sure whether its a good choice or not.
Presentation Tier: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, JSP
Business Tier: JBOSS application Server, Spring Framework, Restful APIs, JSF, Business modules or EJBs.
Data Tier: MySQL
Please help me in deciding upon what combination of technologies I should use. Also, I have no idea about how Restful APIs, JSF and Spring Framework will work together, any suggestions are welcome.
