What are the assessment options in Captivate 8 for the following scenario:
I have one Captivate project with five modules, after each module I want to have mandatory questions (user need to answer to proceed and pass the course) and optional questions (user can skip, not included in the final score). I am using Oracle LMS. it seams Adobe didn't change the limited quiz preferences in Captivate 8.
I would like to hear from the experts before I proceed into a lengthy option. I have the option to chop the project into five separete projects with 5 quizes ( with manadatory questions) . then make the optional quiz questons as a sperate projects, and organize them ( learning objects) in the LMS to play after each module, where the use can skip.
As Lieve suggests, since you need to score various quizzes separately, you need to have those CP quizzes as separate files...which, again as she states, is a SCORM requirement.
You could put all those separate CP files together in one package with Captivate's 'Multi-SCO Packager' but in every case I've seen, the LMS breaks those up into separate lessons anyway...so you'll need to use the LMS to open one, go through it, close it, have it scored, open the next through the LMS, etc.
So the LMS would be the 'Main File' Lieve mentions.
If you don't NEED to see the individual quiz scores, you could put all sections in one main CP file...then all section quizzes would be scored cumulatively to show one overall score in the LMS...
...and if your LMS supports 'interaction data' you could report on the actual answers to each question to find out how well a user did in each quiz section, but that again depends on your LMS capabilities (and that data will meet the requirements).
Overall though, if you need to see separate quiz scores in the main LMS interface, each quiz has to be its own file. That would be the case with ANY tool you use, being a SCORM limitation.

<allow-subclasses> - The allow-subclasses element indicates whether the user-type class-name can specify a Java class type that is abstract, and whether sub-classes of any specified user-type class-name will be permitted at runtime and automatically mapped to the specified super-class for purposes of obtaining a serializer. Valid values are "true" or "false". Default value is false.
<user-type-list> - The user-type-list element contains zero or more user-type elements. Each POF user type that will be used must be listed in the user-type-list. The user-type-list element may also contain zero or more include elements. Each include element is used to add user-type elements defined in another pof-config file.
<include> The include element specifies the location of a pof-config file to load user-type elements from. The value is a locator string (either a valid path or URL) that identifies the location of the target pof-config file.

What are the following Fields meant to contain...?
What info are the following Fields in iTunes meant to contain?
'Comments', 'Description', 'Category', 'Grouping'?
Thanks. They're not meant to contain anything, so they may be blank. However, those fields are there for various purposes. For example, pick any song or Podcast in your Library:
Comments: this field can have a note about the song, Podcast etc. etc. Amazon use the Comments field to make a note of the Amazon ID they assign a song when they sell it to you. You can edit the Comments field if you wish, adding any note that you want, for your own purposes.
Description: is used by Podcasters. They enter a description of their Podcast, typically a little information about that particular show. This field for a song etc, can be found (and edited) on the Videos tab of the song, (even if it's not a video!). Not all Podcasters make use of this field and not usually used in songs.
Category: Used by iTunes Radio services, to identify the type of programming they offer. Also used by Podcasters. Not always used by either service and not usually used in songs.
Grouping: Ah! Now, this is a good and useful field. Suppose you want a song to be in two different genres. Well, that cannot be done. However, if you want one song with genre "Rock" to also be included with all your "70's Pop" genre, simply type Rock into the grouping field and then create a Smart Playlist which has the rules: Genre is 70's Pop and Grouping is Rock. This Smart Playlist will have all the "70's Pop" genre in it and any song that you have typed "Rock" into the Grouping field. It will not have any of the other Rock genre in the list.
Actually, a Smart Playlist can make use of any of the fields you have mentioned. So it's possible to create a Smart Playlist that picks out any song or Podcast etc. containing a particular word in the Description field and a different word in the Comments field. -
What are the major scenarios to customize DAF pipeline ?
Hi,
In which purpose DAF pipeline need to be customized.
Please tell me what are scenarios to customize the DAF pipeline.
Thanks In Advance. Some of the probable scenarios where we might want to customize the DAF pipeline: autologin based on a custom logic; implementing SSO; to set some request attributes based on request URI and/or parameters which can be used by the subsequent servlets/filters or other components; detect device type based on user-agent and other parameters/attributes; trigger a custom event on some action like page view etc.

What are the criteria/scenarios for zero down time to be true?
As stated in the subject title. Could someone explain to me situations where zero down time can be achieved and situations where it cannot?
Edited by: 877132 on Aug 3, 2011 8:28 PMZero-downtime in what context? Initial load, failover, upgrade?
During initial load, with a zero-downtime requirement, changes will be taking place on the source. How do those get replicated to the target while the load is taking place? You start Extract before the initial load, so that any DML changes made during the load process can be captured.
The recently published Apress book on GoldenGate discusses zero-downtime migration.
• Keep the old database you’re migrating from synchronized with the new database.
After the migration cutover, keep the old database synchronized for some period
of time until you’re certain there will be no fallback to the old database.
• The old database will actively process SQL changes until the migration cutover.
Typically the cutover occurs during a scheduled weekend maintenance window or
during a slow period for the website or application.
• During the interim period until the migration cutover, the new database can be
used for read-only queries as needed. Although supported by Oracle GoldenGate’s
bidirectional replication feature, typically the data in the new database isn’t being
updated until after the cutover. If updating data in the new database before the
cutover is a requirement for your project, you need to configure bidirectional
replication to keep both databases synchronized.
Database data and structures in the old database can be different than the new
database. This depends on the type and complexity of migration. For example,
specific data types or structures may need to change if you’re migrating from a
SQL Server database to an Oracle database. If you’re simply migrating from an
Oracle 10g to an Oracle 11g database, you may have the exact same application
data and data structures. You may also be using Oracle GoldenGate to migrate
other types of applications from old to new releases, and the data structures in
those cases may be different.
• Data in the old database must be kept current with the new database, and there
should be no replication lag at the time of cutover or fallback. Before the cutover
or fallback some lag can be tolerated, but the lag must be eventually eliminated
prior to the application cutover or fallback. Any replication lag present at the time
of cutover could cause a delay.
• Cutover to the new database and fallback from the new database to the old
database must happen quickly to minimize any downtime. Keep in mind that
Oracle GoldenGate is only one piece the greater migration project, and you need
tested procedures in place for all parts of your migration project, such as switching
your application connections.
• After cutover to the new database, the database roles are reversed and the new
database becomes the replication source and the old database becomes the target.
This allows for migration fallback to the old database if needed.
• The time period permitted for the cutover and fallback procedures should be well
understood. For example, a two-hour window for cutover and fallback has much
different requirements than if an entire weekend is allowed for the cutover. -
Last week, my gf was stolen and lost her iPad. I thought that everything was lost because "Find My Phone" didn't manage to track the iPad location so the police could do something.
Today, I ended up reading this article (http://9to5mac.com/2014/04/03/ios-7-bug-allows-anyone-to-disable-find-my-iphone- and-bypass-activation-lock-without-a-password/) which tells me that the iOS 7.1 presents a bug where someone can deactivate the "Find My Phone" function without the password.
What are the options here so I can rehave the stolen iPad, which Apple helped the burglar to keep it or even sell it?
Appreciate your cooperationApple didn't "help the burgler" do anything. Did she have a passcode on the device? If so, the thief would not have been able to access any of the functions needed to disable Find My Phone. Also, if the device doesn't show up in iCloud's Find My Phone, it may be that it is simply turned off, or not connected to a network.

Should I just ask for my money back??? If it is a simple repair do I just literally push the disc in, push the power button and hold down the C button?
That's where I would begin, too, with
Repair Disk
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.TStatus of HDD at the bottom of right panel, and report if it saysanything but Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need touse autility like TechTool Pro,Drive Geniusor DiskWarrior
First we need to determine if the issue you are experiencing with the computer is software or hardware based. Once we have gotten things sorted out there should be time enough to make you decision about keeping or returning it.

mayooran99I think that Predixion Insight is the easiest tool to use and is very powerful.
All you need to have is Windows OS, Office 2010 or 2013 and internet connection. If you want to look at what you need to do before installing Predixion, I recommend you to take a look at the walkthroughs at

Under Option Summary, the usage includes AUDIO, PHOTOS, APPS and OTHERS. What are the things included in OTHERS? It is using up my storage space. Can someone please help?
To add to Nick's comments, "Other" is typically approximately 1 gigabyte. Occasionally for some users, it gets much (many times) bigger because they have some corrupt files. If that's the case, it's best to restore the iPhone.
Plug the iPhone into (current) iTunes, let it sync, then choose "Restore" on the right. If restoring from the iPhone backup does not help, then restore (again) as new and then manaully sync the iPhone. -

Changing HDD to SSD, what are the options?
hi, guys, new to the forum, I just bought a thinkpad x130e during an on sale event at one of the local retailer, pretty excited, since i like the rugged design.
I am looking at an upgrade from 320G HDD to a 128G SSD... but i don't have any windows 7 installation disc handy, so what are the options for me to install the operating system (windows 7).
I don't know if there is a way to transfer the whole system from HDD to SSD? will there be any trick to perform? or simply i just have to purchase new copy of windows?
cos i noticed i do have a windows7 pro product key at the bottom of my thinkpad, i kinda don't want to waste the money.
please help..
Solved!
Go to Solution. You don't need to purchase another copy of Win7. You will need
1. SSD. This must be 7mm thick, not the more common 9.5mm thick.
2. USB enclosure for your HDD,
3. Software to "clone" the contents of your HDD to your SSD. Acronis True Image is a well-regarded package that does this. There are also some free utilities that can do this, however, I'm not familiar with them.
Procedure:
1. Move the HDD to the external enclosure.
2. Put the SSD in the X130e.
3. Reboot from the HDD. (You'll need to interrupt boot with Blue ThinkVantage button to specify.)
4. Install Acronis (or equivalent.)
5. Perform disk clone operation. You will need to tell the software how you want to resize partitions since you're going to a smaller disk.
6. Reboot from SSD.
