What are the dimensions and specs of the 3000 Series H210 Power Supply? Can I upgrade it?
Power Supply Specs
Is is possible that the power supply was fried and not other essential parts? Would it be worthwhile to replace the power supply? Can I, with limited experience and tools do it or need I take it to a technician? My concern is that if the hard-drive is good, there is personal information on it that I don't want to risk
Quite possible, but working on iMacs is not easy, & PSU might be prohibitive.
Hopefully the Drive might have info on it, but even pulling that out can be a chore.
If you don't know the model, find the Serial# & use it on one of these sites, but don't post the Serial# here...

How to find the serial number of your Apple hardware product...

I have replaced the iPod but have not tried to restore the iTunes library to it because of my confusion about how to do that. Can anyone tell me how I might do that or give me any insight into the process?
I'd get an external drive & restore the whole works to it, then boot from the External drive.

How can I determine at runtime the type and specs of the DAQ card a computer has installed?
I am creating a voltmeter with a record button for use in systems without LabView installed (stand alone exe's are used). My program allows users to select the scan rate on channels they have selected to view. I want to be able to determine the capabilities of the card (max sampling rate, # of channels avaliable, etc...) within LabView at runtime. Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks...Is there a similar type of function for NI-DAQmx? I'm trying to figure out how to programmatically query a card's number of AI channels, AO channels, CTRS's etc, without having to build up my own hard-coded table.

I have an iMac (the desktop) I've stupidly left the cable you plug the monitor into the wall with there. What are they called and where can I get a new one?
Presumably the mains cable, which you can get from an Apple Store.

What are the Terms and Conditions for the AppleID
What are the Terms and Conditions for the AppleID? You know, those speed bumps you blow by when trying to achieve something. Good luck trying to find them. Apple has one place to take your money, many many different ways to tie you up with disparate Terms and Conditions. They say that the fine print is important too. So why are the terms and conditions for the AppleID so hard to find?
Hi, Wanderer 37.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I absolutely understand your concern with having access to Terms and Conditions that you have accepted, and at Apple, we want this information to be as transparent as possible. You can access the iTunes/Apple ID Terms and Conditions here:

What Are the Index Values of the MTTR and MTBF of the MA5600?
The networking environments are different and the device uses different boards. Therefore, the reference value of the MTBF of the MA5600 is 55 years and the reference value of the MTTR of the Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) is two hours. The preceding values
are only for reference. For details, contact the related Huawei engineers.

What are the advantages and disadvantages for the larger blocksize and for the smaller blocksize?
Smaller blocksize
Advantages
GoodHas relatively large space overhead due to metadata
(that is, block header).
Not recommended for large rows. There might only
be a few rows stored for each block, or worse, row
chaining if a single row does not fit into a block, for small rows with lots of random
access.
Reduces block contention.
Disadvantages
Has relatively large space overhead due to metadata
(that is, block header).
Not recommended for large rows. There might only
be a few rows stored for each block, or worse, row
chaining if a single row does not fit into a block.
Larger blocksize
Advantages
Has lower overhead, so there is more
room to store data.
Permits reading a number of rows into
the buffer cache with a single I/O
(depending on row size and block size).
Good for sequential access or very large
rows (such as LOB data).
Disadvantages
Wastes space in the buffer cache, if you are doing
random access to small rows and have a large block
size. For example, with an 8 KB block size and 50
byte row size, you waste 7,950 bytes in the buffer
cache when doing random access.
Not good for index blocks used in an OLTP
environment, because they increase block contention
on the index leaf blocks. -
What are the advantages and disadvantages of the Joint operation
Hi, I am currently trying what out the advantages and disadvantages of the Joint Operation ... any help would be appreciated
The advantage of join operations are that joins allow
retrieval or data from more than one table at a
time.
A disadvantage of join operations is that the SQL
statement may be more complicated to write and read
than multiple simple selects.
Another advantage is that fetching data from multiple
tables in a single SQL statement is that using a join
is likely to be more efficient than using several
simple SQL statements with procedural logic
performing the work of the join.
There are basic three types of join operations in
Oracle: nested loop, hash join, and sort/merge.
You can find descriptions of these operations in the
Oracle Performance and Tuning manual.

I've read that Promise Pegasus2 R6 thunderbolt 2 series does not sell replacement parts (no replacement parts for any of the Pegasus line). I'm buying the new MacPro but am concerned about spending $2K for storage (12tb version) that may break and cannot be fixed (am told that one must purchase a new unit if a part breaks). What are others buying for storage for the new MacPro? Thanks so much for your help.
Discussion about this issue at MacWorld.com: http://www.macworld.com/article/2082783/first-look-promises-pegasus2-r6-thunderb olt-2-raid-array.htmlI've used the original Pegasus R6 units for a couple of years now and have been very pleased with them. On the two occasions I've had to call on their technical sujpport, I've found them readily available, knowledgeable, and very helpful. In one case it involved the reset of a unit after a power failure at an inopportune time; in the other case it was a question about upgrading disk drives to higher capacities (1 Gb gto 4 Gb). I was pleased to learn that their tech support people were in California and as good if not better than upper-tier AppleCare reps. The hardware itself has functioned flawlessly so far.

I'm attempting to print some business cards with a Spot UV coating. I have a layer above the artwork with a spot color (set to green per the printer's request). Underneath is a logo, essentially a red circle with some highlights and depth. My issue is that, after exporting a PDF, all of the highlights and detail on the red circle disappear in Overprint Preview (it's there when I hide the Spot UV layer, but missing when I hide the Spot Color). What can I do to retain that information?
Thanks!Let me know if you need different screen grabs. Thanks in advance.

Hi, a student had a question and I honestly never thought about this: when you open multiple documents in Photoshop CS4, what's the rhyme and reason behind the order they're arranged in (left to right?). Sometimes they're in one order and sometimes they're in another, and it doesn't always correspond with the filenames or the order in which they were selected.
Thanks, hope someone can enlighten us. It's probably really obvious, but... !My student says that's not exactly what she was asking. What she meant was, is the arrangement of multiple tabbed documents open within Photoshop (which one is furthest left, which one comes next to it, which one is furthest right etc) dependent on something? In what order they were opened, alphabetical, date created or what?

Can an action set the dimension of the crop and put in the center of the image?
Hi
running cs6 64bit under w7 64bit
can an action set the dimensions of the crop height & length and put the crop in the center of the image?
or should i need a script?
i mean for example i taken many photos about 20mp mega pixel
i would like to run a script or an action that set the height & length and set the crop in the center of the image

i have cs6 but i haven't in the action option conditional actions

you know cs6 starts with histogram in colors mode
I have a hard time with English even though it may native language. I'm having some problem with what you wrote.
Yes cs6 does not have what Adobe calls conditional actions they put into CC. That feature more or less an IF statement condition on some document attributes. Like if document width is greater then document height play action landscape else play action portrait. With CS6 you need to write one line script to use in actions. Most of the utility scripts I wrote for use in actions are more complex then a simple if statement.
The way you record scripts is PS is be using Adobe Scriptlistener Plug-in when installed the plug-in records everything you do that can be recorded into two log files one in JavaScript and the other in VBS. The code generated works by passing parameters to Adobe Photoshop's Action Manager. To make scripts toy need to extract the steps you need from one of the log files. However some thing you can do in Photoshop can not be recorded. And while your right that the scriptlistener plug-in does not record anything for setting the histograms to RGB channel or Luminosity channel your wrong when you write the Action Recorder can do it.
However scripts can get the histograms channel data. I have never process a histogram in a script however there is a sample Photoshop Histogram in the Photoshop javascripting guide. That creates a text graph log.
// Function to activate all the channels according to the documents mode
// Takes a document reference for input

What are Apple doing to compensate for the damage caused by the iPhone 4 bumper?
I have noticed damage caused by the bumper.
It is NOT foreign object but caused by the hard plastic on the inside of the bumper
(plese do not come out with rubbish like steel is harder than plastic) I am not stupid and I know that the damage matches the pattern of the bumper skeleton.
What I want to know is when are Apple going to deal with this and replace my phone?
I dare not go to the so called Genius bar in Milton Keynes as they have adopted a Dixons style "fob off" attitude and I will become rather angry with them.Re: What are Apple doing to compensate for the damage caused by the iPhone 4 bumper?
15-Jun-2011 15:15 (in response to sfrommilton keynes)
o Steel is harder than plastic, so the bumper has not caused the damage.
- You call it rubbish
- The world calls it physics
You are totally wrong. Please go back to School.
o You can deny physics
- but that will not change reality.
You can go to School but that wont change reality.
o Your description of your Genius bar is incomprehensible
- I recommend you go to the Genius bar leaving the chip on your shoulder at home and tactfully explain what you think is your issue.
I recomend you find a day job ans stop TROLLING peoples threads.
- I've never had them fail me or be the least bit confrontational.
- But if you act like a jerk then I couldn't predict what would happen
Yeah because you were there. Are you having some kind of relationship with the company? I think you sleep with an Apple under your pillow.
Finally I am a consumer who has paid for a product that is not living up to expectations. The plastic skelton is hard and abrasive (I know what that means as I went to School) Abrasion's are marking the product.
This is not the only time this has been reported and as such I have no issue with particles entering the bumber. This has happened from the start (when I used Apples stupid bumber case)
Please don't patronise or TROLL others threads.

How can i add the dimensions and data loading into planning apllications?
Now please let me know how can i add the dimensions and data loading into planning apllication without manuallly?
you can use tools like ODI or DIM or HAL to load metadata & data into planning applications.
The data load can be done at the Essbase end using rules file. But metadata changes should flow from planning to essbase through any of above mentioned tools and also there are many other way to achieve the same.
