What are the drawbacks of Selective color vs. curves?

There are no drawbacks to selective color that I can think of. The alternative is indiscriminate, wanton color which, as we all know, can get unruly and aggressive.
Similarly there are only advantages to curves, especially on the right body. The era of stick figure beauty is thankfully long past. Our culture now appreciates the organic esthetic of curves.
Beyond this, you may wish to consult the Photoshop forum. I suspect you'll get a very different answer there.

    Hi Parminder,
BEA docs cover tweaking exec queues pretty extensively.
Could you provide more details on what kind of information
you are looking for or which concerns do you have?

  • What are the drawbacks or disadvantages of using LSMW

    Hi All,
Can anyone tell me what could be the possible disadvantages of using LSMW and also some disadvantages of BAPI.
    Regards,
    MD.

    Hi MD.
I would like to suggest a couple of disadvantages of LSMW.
    Here are a few scenarios------>
    1. Time consumption -
    > IDOC processing plays a vital role.  The changes made to the IDOC is therefore very time consuming.
    2. In term of BAPI -
    > Incomplete in terms of input fields of a particular transaction, rather it is not always complete.
    3. In terms of Direct Input -
    > No enjoy transactions and incomplete in terms of input fields of a particular transaction.
    4. In terms of Batch input -
    > Slow in terms of new recordings to be done, but BDCs are much simpler in that terms.
This factor also depends upon the user settings, The kind of processing which is foreground and background.
    Hope that's usefull.
    Good Luck & Regards.

  • What are the drawbacks to adding a Site Content Type to the Document Site Column?

I have a client who has enough SharePoint knowledge to be dangerous.
They are requesting that a Column be added to all Document Libraries everywhere.  We built a solution that would require a bit of work when a Site Collection is created, and it would require that we run a script to identify if there are any Libraries
that do not have this Column attached.
This client wants to know why we didn't just add this Column to the default Document Site Content Type.  I don't know specifics as to why that's not a good idea, just that it's not a good idea.
Can anyone point me to a resource that identifies the reasons why this is not recommended?
    Thank you

I'd say there's a risk that patches or upgrades could be affected by this, or overwrite the change.
In the past I've derived a Company specific Document Content Type from the Base Document CT, and added any new company wide columns to that new CT.

  • What are the drawbacks on purchasing from [link removed]

I see that [link removed] offers Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium for the Mac for $565. There's got to be a catch. Is the package pirated? Am I prohibited from registering it in my own name? Would I be eligible for product upgrades?
    What gives?
[edited by moderator - do not provide publicity for suspect vendors]

We've been over it: If it sounds too good to be true, it isn't. Not saying that it is pirated, but it could involve hacky multi-level upgrade chains with OEM versions from the stoneage, creative use of volume licenses or sidegraded edu versions or whatever. Either way, it is most definitely on the edge what Adobe may be willing to tolerate and they may outright refuse to recognize this as valid. So for what it's worth: Stay away from such stuff.

  • If we activate MRP Areas what are the implications on other plants.

Q:- If we activate MRP Areas what are the implications on other plants.
My Business is having many plants with different business
eg :- One Plant (1000)MRP is currently being executed at Project Level MD51
Second Plant (2000) MRP is currently being executed at Plant Level ,
Third Plant (3000) is currently being executed at materail levels only (MD02/MD03)
    Issue  :-
for our new scenario we need to execute MRP  at MRP Area only -- Storage location MRP run
So we would have to activate MRP @ MRP area level , but doing so
You convert the existing planning file entries at plant level to planning file entries at MRP area level.
To convert the planning file entries, you use the report that you trigger in Customizing for MRP in the IMG activity Convert planning file entries for MRP areas. The system creates a new planning file and MRP areas for the existing plants. These MRP areas, however, do not affect how material requirements are planned. The number of the plant MRP area is identical to the plant number and therefore has four digits.
Preparing for Material Requirements Planning with MRP Areas - Special Planning Processes - SAP Library
Can any one provide , what are the drawbacks , if activated at MRP Areas are activated , since it is activated at client level ,
Will it impact my current MRP execution process for other Plants ??( other plants MRP is being executed at Plant MRP /Project MRP / etc,,
Please Reply /Share your comments urgently
    Regard's
    Tallha

    Hello Tallha
The only visible impact is that you will have an extra field on MD04 and another MRP transactions.
If you simply activate MRP areas but don't create MRP areas for the materials, your process will not change and you should be able to continue using MRP as you were using before.
There is a positive impact on the conversion of the planning file may improve the MRP general performance.

  • Exporting photos for UHDTV or Native 4K TV, what are the best settings ? (File: Quality File: Color Space, Image Sizing and resolution)   Or in other words; How can I get the smallest files but keep good quality for display on new UHDTV

Exporting photos for UHDTV or Native 4K TV, what are the best settings ? (File: Quality File: Color Space, Image Sizing and resolution)   Or in other words; How can I get the smallest files but keep good quality for display on new UHDTV

You're welcome, and thank you for the reply.
    2) Yesterday I made the subclips with the In-Out Points and Command-U, the benefit is that I've seen the clip before naming it. Now I'm using markers, it's benefit is that I can write comment and (the later) clip name at once, the drawback is that I have to view to the next shot's beginning before knowing what the shot contains.
But now I found out that I can reconnect my clips independently to the format I converted the master clip to. I reconnected the media to the original AVI file and it worked, too! The more I work with, the more I'm sold on it... - although it doesn't seem to be able to read and use the date information within the DV AVI.
    1) Ok, I tried something similar within FCE. Just worked, but the file size still remains. Which codec settings should I use? Is the export to DV in MOV with a quality of 75% acceptable for both file size and quality? Or would be encoding as H.264 with best quality an option for archiving, knowing that I have to convert it back to DV if I (maybe) wan't to use it for editing later? Or anything else?
    Thank's in advance again,
    André

  • What are the limitation or drawbacks of ESB?

Can any one let me know what are the limitation or drawbacks of ESB?
    Fred

    Hi Fred,
This is new question and different to this post's title :)
When it concerned to security of an ESB management portal, there are two more often used practices.
It’s being a web portal-a thin client, it can be accessed outside the BizTalk server- not like admin console (admin console can be accessed outside BizTalk server, it’s another matter). So
    that administrator can view fault
details when they get error alert and action faulted messages. Follow the steps detailed here to achieve this.
    Another practice is installing
    ESB management portal in
    multi-machine environment with minimal access
configuration, then here an excellent article step-by-step guidance on this topic.

  • What are the differences between Turn in Final Timesheet and the other option: Send Progress for Selected Tasks?

    Hello,
The resource filled his/her timesheet in PWA.
    Now :
What are the differences between Turn in Final Timesheet
and the other option: Send Progress for Selected Tasks?
    Thanks

You are partially correct and partially wrong.
    Turn
    in Final Timesheet sends
the timesheet to the Timesheet Manager for Approval
but task update always goes to Status manger of the task. Taks manager you can see in MPP(insert status manager field then check)
    Yes
after approval progress will be available in MPP as well as in Projectweb app as % complete .
    Send
    Progress for Selected Tasks
Send progress of selected task to status manager after approval update will be available in both MPP and Projectweb
    app as % complete.
    In Send
    Progress for Selected Tasks Timesheet
Manager doesn't receive anything in his Approval center
because all the update directly go to Status manager Approval center.
    Here you have to understand
that there are two role Timesheet Manager(for timesheet approval) and Status manager(for task
    actual approval)

  • With Premiere elements 11, when Publish/Share (saving) a finished video, selecting H.264  .mov file type, what are the recommended Codec and Aspect settings for a crisp video and a small file size?

With Premiere Elements 11, when Publish/Share (saving) a finished video, selecting H.264  .mov file type, what are the recommended Aspect and Codec settings , for a crisp video with a small file size?

    Gary Krouse
We will customize a very detailed reply, but
    (a) What are the properties of your source media?
    (b) What did you or the program set as the project preset to match the properties of the source media?
    (c) What specific requirements do you have for this H.264.mov export file?
File size can be a compromise between bitrate, file size, and quality.
    Thanks.

  • What are the influencing factors in material field selection?

    Dear Gurus,
What are the influencing factors in material field selection?
    Thanks..

    hi,
    It is :
    1. material type
    2. Industry sector
    3. plant
Other than this there are lock relevent fields which could be never influenced once locked...(Don't try it, because unlocking requires need of Basis consultant)...
