What are the file formats identified by text_io

Is it possible to read .xls file using text_io

Common Frank, I just tried , no text_io does not recognize .xls files.
I tried the upload with .xls , it didnt error out , but it didnt upload either. I then saved the same file as .txt and had 100 rows loaded into the table using text_io.
Can you please give me accurate information.
It is stated on metalink that DDE will not work for the web. Please verify that for me. Note:61594.1
Thanks

Your iPod should accept MPEG4 formatted videos.  If it's not, it's likely that there is no some peculiarity of the file that your iPod does not like.  Try using iTunes built in converter to convert it to a more friendly format.  To do this, highlight the video and select Create iPod or iPhone version from the Advanced drop down menu in iTunes.

  • What are the files needed for downloading the MSS -BusinessPackage

    Dear Gurus,
Any body can give me a suggestion for downloading the MSS -BusinessPackage ,and also what are the files needed for the deployment -its in a urgent basis and reward points welcome!
    regards,
    S.Rajeshkumar

    Hi Rajesh,
You have to download and deploy the following through SDM (for NW04s/EP7),
    1. Business Package for MSS (contains roles, worksets for your Business Package)
    2. PCUI_GP (WebDynpro Component)
    3. SAP_MSS (WebDynpro Coponent - your MSS application files)
To use ESS and MSS in Conjunction, you also have to deploy Business Package for Common Parts.
Backend SAP systems should have SAP HR and SAP FIN configured.

.The files are not backed up alphabetically. We would like to know what are the db files that are already backed up? Is there a command i could run from another RMAN to get the already backed up files.

I think you can query your catalog for this information.
    Or use
    LIST BACKUP; (in RMAN)
    Or
    alter session set nls_date_format='dd/mm/yy hh24:mi:ss';
    select SID, START_TIME,TOTALWORK, sofar, (sofar/totalwork) * 100 done,
    sysdate + TIME_REMAINING/3600/24 end_at
    from v$session_longops
    where totalwork > sofar
    AND opname NOT LIKE '%aggregate%'
    AND opname like 'RMAN%';
    Or
-- Datafiles Backed up during past 24 Hours
SELECT dbfiles||' from '||numfiles "Datafiles backed up",
cfiles "Control Files backed up", spfiles "SPFiles backed up"
FROM (select count(*) numfiles from sys.v_$datafile),
    (select count(*) dbfiles
    from sys.v_$backup_datafile a, sys.v_$datafile b
    where a.file# = b.file#
    and a.completion_time > sysdate - 1),
    (select count(*) cfiles from sys.v_$backup_datafile
    where file# = 0 and completion_time > sysdate - 1),
    (select count(*) spfiles from sys.v_$backup_spfile
    where completion_time > sysdate - 1)

  • What are the files in the NI-RT/Start-up directory?

I have what I believe should be two (2) identically configured PXI chassises with PXI8145 controllers. However, the one chassis never allows me to download my application and the other one downloads and runs fine. The only difference that I can see is that within the NI-RT/start-up directory there are four (4) files and a directory that exist on the system that works and these files do not exist on the system that does not work. What are these files and can I just copy them from the other platform via ftp?

I'll answer my own question in case this helps anyone else... The files according to NI tech support are junk. However more importantly the reason I wasn't able to download the application was due to lack of RAM on the 8145RT. This was caused by several drivers being loaded by the RT machine at bootup that I didn't need to have loaded. These drivers are listed in the file NI-RT.ini in the Startup directory. The line StartupDLLs= should only contain the drivers that you need. Delete all of the other entries. Hope this helps someone. -Tom

  • HT5093 What is the file format for 3d files?

Recently I have downloaded Autofesk Inventor Fusion. I created some 3D models there. Now i want to insert it into iBooks Author. But i cannot find what file format I can use?

Collada DAE is the way to go.
The best way to start off is to export a simple box in the center of the world.
If that works, then apply a texture / transparency etc, one step at a time and and test at each single step.
Different exporters will have different levels of support for various features ( for 3DS Max, the in-built exporter was very limited ).
If your software doesnt have a DAE exporter, but can export to eg FBX, there are free converters for FBX to DAE.  The more steps in your chain to get 3D from your modeller onto the iPad, the more problems you may run into - also there is the time required for running those additional steps.

  • What is the file format for blobs stored for mds

Does anyone know what type of file is stored into the blobs for a saved search/layout for mds in the streamed docs table? It doesn't appear to be xml, and looking at the a text version of whats in there it looks like its java code, but it isn't quite that.
If anyone can point me in the right direction of being able to to turn the blob back into something human readable that would be great, as i would much rather be able to edit the blob than wipe out data.

The data storage format for MDS data, while you may be able to figure it out or guess what it is by looking at it, is not published as far as I know. The only APIs that are published (again, as far as I know) are [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/apirefs.1111/e14776/toc.htm]here
Editing the data is at your own risk. You could always try raising a request with https://support.oracle.com asking for details, but I wouldn't bet anything of value on receiving the data you're asking for.

  • What are the file name(s) for CS6 scratch data on Mac?

I see people saying the file (or is it multiple files?) is kept in the HD root. I don't see anything there (I only have one drive) that looks relevant to Photoshop, even when I view invisible files. Anyone know where the file is, and what it's named? Is it invisible?
The reason I ask is that I want to exclude it from my ongoing Time Machine backups. I'm slowly learning the various Adobe folders that I need to exclude manually. (AutoRecover, Application Support/Adobe... in fact, the bazillion CS6 folders within Applications, since I'll just restore them from Creative Cloud if I have a failure.)
Sometimes Time Machine has been doing a big backup for reasons unknown, and I think the recent installation ogf CS6 may be the culprit.
    Thanks in advance!

I didn't know OS X could do such a thing!
I didn't know about it either but, apparently, the technique is common:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_link
"If one of the links is removed with the POSIX unlink function (for example, with the UNIX rm command), then the data are still accessible through any other link that remains. If all of the links are removed and no process has the file open, then the space occupied by the data is freed, allowing it to be reused in the future. This semantic allows for deleting open files without affecting the process that uses them. This technique is commonly used to ensure that temporary files are deleted automatically on program termination, including the case of abnormal termination."

  • What are the files that are exported as PDF when we create folio in Indesign?

When I experimented, I see only baseContent and images in scrollable frame are converted as pdf and rest of the overlayAssets are image.
Please help me understand and why.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

I think he is asking how the .FOLIO-File is generated from InDesign. When you create a InDesign-Folio with ID it creates a .FOLIO-File which consists of several XML files describing the position and metadata of overlays and PDF-assets. There is no explanation on how to do it without InDesign but you could always reverse engineer the .FOLIO-Format and try to create your own "InDesign".
For more details have a look into the .FOLIO-Specification https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=dps_folio

  • What Are the Files in the Resources Directory for Apple Configurator

I liked to read the krypted.com blog and others to better understand the inner workings of Apple Configurator, but one thing I have been curious of are all the files with GUID names in the ~/Library/Application Support/com.apple.configurator/ directory are and what they do.  All of them are of variable sizes.  Using the strings utility in the terminal, it would appear these are customized images of each iPad app it pushes to the iPad in question (I see Apple bundle directories dumped, among other things).  Is there any information on the web or other people's experiences that can give me a better explanation?

If you attempt delete the Q partition from within Vista - AFTER YOU MAKE YOUR PRODUCT RECOVERY MEDIA - Vista will offer to add the freed space to the C partition.  The deletetion attempt should offer to burn the media for you.  You don't need any 3rd party tools.

  • What are the files for address book named?

my hard drive was failing, and i tried to save as much as I could.  I got everything back and loaded on my new drive, but my address book.  I have several files with the title address book but none seem to restore my names and addresses..
    HELP
    thanks
    Jack Osterholt

    Jack..
If you didn't create an archive, might be out of luck.
File name should be:   Address Book - (the date).abbu
To restore: In Address Book, choose Revert to Address Book Backup from the File menu. In the resulting dialog, locate your backup file (it ends with a .abbu extension), select it, and click Open.

  • What are the files in Lenovo "Q" drive for?

My T400 laptop came with 1 huge C partition of ~280gb, another 19gb taken by this lenovo Q drive which is only 5gb filled. I'm thinking of re-partitioning my drive, and am wondering what might happen if i format the Q partition. There are only 2 folders inside, "showroom" and "SWTOOLS". Any idea what they are used for?

If you attempt delete the Q partition from within Vista - AFTER YOU MAKE YOUR PRODUCT RECOVERY MEDIA - Vista will offer to add the freed space to the C partition.  The deletetion attempt should offer to burn the media for you.  You don't need any 3rd party tools.

  • What are the $-files in my .jar about?

When I look into my jar files I've a couple of $-files. Eg. About$1.class, About$2.class, About$3.class, About$4.class and the About.class file. Why are they there, what do they do, can I remove them/skip generating them? How?
    Im using NetBeans.

hi i also use netbeans and thought that you might want to know another forums specifically for netbeans. just type in nabble netbeans with google and it will take you there. although this forum is pretty good and you will probably get all the answers you need it is not netbeans specific so you might want to look at that forums as well in the future.
it helped me so i thought that you might want to know if you are new to netbeans.

  • What are the file storage names for Palm Desktop 4.1.4? My data appears to be lost

    Hi,
I am using Palm Desktop 4.1.4 and have the Application loaded on a Flash Drive. This was done long ago and maps to the E:.
I am on Windows XP SP2.  I usually insert my flash into a USB port on my PC and start a shortcut which points to and starts the desktop off of the E: drive.
I decided i wanted to also place the dekstop on my C: drive and started the install from the Flash drive. In my rush and stupidity, i did not correctly tell it to install to the C: and it ended up reinstall to the E:     So when i bring up the desktop, all is gone !
I have looked and search in every way i can think of looking for files from .DAT, to .PDB, .PRC, etc etc.  If i take older version i find of many of these files and place them in the E:  root directory in which the desktop OPTIONS Menu says the data is stored, nothing changes.
The OPTIONS menu under TOOLS in desktop states data files go to E:
The application is installed under E:\PalmDesktop
The .EXE, .DLL, files are under E:\PalmDesktop   as well as under E:\
When the reinstall of the desktop occurred other folders that were under E:\PalmDesktop such as Components, Helpnote, Update etc and well as one with my name Brian don't appear to have been touched.
I am not sure if my data is lost forever or not.   Can someone provide me with the exact file names that data in the desktop such as "Contacts"  is stored in so i can try to find them. I must admit i have never had such a difficult time finding the  data files for other products as i have with this one, but then again maybe thats a good thing.
Thanks in advance for anyones help - Brian
    Post relates to: Tungsten C

check in your flash drive Palmone>username
The username that you've been using is Brian? if you see that folder open it and look for folders address (contacts) datebook (calendar) todo (tasks) memo pad (memo)
then check if you have address.bak or adress.dat for contacts, datebook.bak for calendar if you see those try importing them to your palm desktop.
