What are the Illustrator CS5.5 default brushes?

I have brushes that I don't remember having before, and I'm not sure if certain things I downloaded include these brushes. I don't want to use brushes that I don't have licenses for. I have Illustrator CS5.5. If someone could tell me the list of default brushes, or tell me a way to reset my brushes to the default ones, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

On windows the user document profile files for CS 5 are in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS5\Support Files\Required\New Document Profiles\en_US
Remove or delete these files, restart Illustrator, and it will recreate the default files by copying them from the document profile files located in the program's installation folder.

From a practical perspective, besides the 64 bit version being a bit faster at just about everything, limitations on document size are lifted in the 64 bit version. Essentially, how much can do is limited only by how much RAM you have installed in your system. You can do things like have larger documents, deeper history, etc. and have it all work quickly.
On the other hand, many 3rd party plug-ins, especially older ones, only provide 32 bit versions, which will only run in 32 bit Photoshop.
Both 32 and 64 bit versions are installed by default. It's important to note that most of the preferences are separate between the two, so you can have two slightly different setups that might help with specialty operations you might need. This gets pretty subtle, but for example I keep the 32 bit version configured with only 1 cache level, so all previews of high bit depth images are always composited in high bit depth. This aids me with some aspects of astroimage processing. It's slower, but more accurate. By contrast I have more cache levels configured for my 64 bit version, so that's faster for general photography work.

Whether JavaScript was enabled was not a problem. It was enabled by default and anyone who disabled it should have had no problem finding it again. The three actions which were blocked unless the user also enabled them respectively were what mattered. Cor-El's answer does not give enough info as to how to prevent those "features" of JavaScript from being used.

My guess is that whoever decided to "simplify" the interface sacrificed security for convenience -- as if the Internet is safer now than it was when that interface was created. If that interface was too complicated for you -- or just too slow for your Red Bull brain -- then you have neither the wit nor the wisdom to be using the Internet, regardless of the "simplicity" of the browser.

Did you actually mean version 10, as in Illustrator 10 from 2001?
If so:
• Your G4 with OS X 10.4 (2005-2007) would probably run it, (using Rosetta if needed / PPC based).
• OS X 10.9 will definitely not allow install or run it.

There is not a user PUBLIC. There cannot be a user PUBLIC. Users and roles share the same name space so if there is a role PUBLIC, there can not be a user PUBLIC.
The catalog table user$ contains both roles and users. The usage is determined by the TYPE# column - 1 = user, 0 = role.
