Could some one tell me in detail about the impacts of changing material group of a material that is active in procrement?

Hi,
If you are changing it from one valid group to another valid group and both will still be there afterwards, then the impact is small, but important.
The data in the Info systems and BW etc. will have been updated with the the "old" material group and so if you tried to compare them you would find differences.
It is something that does happen from time to time and as long as the two groups will still be ther afterwards there should be no reason why this would cause any technical or system problems. The effect is purely on the historic data.
I have seen this done several times in many implementations and so far it has not caused any major problems apart from some reports "appearing" wrong if you compare them against other reports that involve historical movements.

In need to move to IFRS reporting, my client is planing to migrate from classic gl to new gl (not yet decided which scenario, but most probably we will go with scenario 5).
We are in stage where we are assessing new gl functionality, impact of new gl migration on other SAP module and what precautions we should carry while drafting project activities for migration plan.
I am specially interested to know how are other modules impacted by New GL? Ex. SD, MM, HR, Treasury, CRM ?

I uploaded new footage to a new session and changed the scratch disk to my other external hard drive. Now there is confusion with my initial project..

This is something we all live with. You have to be careful going back and forth between projects, if you are using different scratch disks for each. If you are editing a project on one scratch disk, then start a new project on another, remember to switch back to the original scratch disk when you go back to the original project. Otherwise render files will wind up on the wrong drive, or worse, you will capture to the wrong drive. Each issue is correctable by managing your media over to the proper drive, and deleting then deleting from the other.

You have two options:
Use a SQL Alias and you will then need to swing all databases over to the new SQL Server
Don't use a SQL Alias and swing all but the Configuration and Administration databases to the new SQL Server, and individually re-configure Service Applications/Web Applications to use the new SQL Server. This will force you to keep the old SQL Server around.

What is the impact - Activating Change Logs for Material Classification Dta

To activate Change Logs for Material Classification Data I must first set the flag for "Multiple Objs Allowed" for the Class Type 001 Material Class. I am curious of what the impact of setting this flag will be. Also, is there a way to measure the DASD impact of activating the Change logging for this data.

In addition to the performance impact the process of turning on Change Logs for Classification data will convert the tables KSSK and AUSP to use an internal SAP number as a key instead of the Material number. This will cause problems for any custom programs that access those files directly and expect the material number to be the key. This file conversion occurs during the execution of program RCCLUKA2 which is used to Flag the change logs for existing records. This can be reversed by running report RMCLINOB. Because of the above impact we decided here to NOT implement this change in production.

I would like to change my regular email service provider and instead use only my new gmail address. My apple id is the same as my regular soon to be replaced email address. I understand that in the past you could not change your apple id but you could change the email address associated with the apple id. However now it seems that you can change your apple id and by this I dont mean getting a new one, I simply mean editing the old one and infact Apple encourages people to make sure that their Apple id and email address are the same. So, my questions is considering the fact that I own multiple Apple devices (iPhone, iMac and iPad), what will the implications be of doing this and what do I need to consider before I change my Apple id to my new Gmail address? I know for example that apps are apparently permanently associated with a single Apple id so I guess I will have to redownload and pay for them. But what do I need to do on my iPhone, iMac and iPad to make sure that iMessage, iCloud etc is unaffected and continue to work properly. I guess for a start I need to tell everyone who communicates with me via iMessage that they have to use a new Apple id for example. I am worried that a change like this will cause mayhem among my devices and I'll regret it. Right now I have kept my old Apple id and simply added an alternate email address to my account that being my new Gmail address. Maybe its simpler to keep it this way. How to stop vdbench from external applications? What are the impacts?

I am using vdbench to test following scenario:
1) Start vdbench - do read/write (I use poweshell start-process to start vdbench which returns me the process object )
2) Poll for particualr system event(my test condtion). When the event happens stop read/write ASAP(To stop the process I use powershell Stop-process and pass process object as the argument. This actually stops IO as seen task manger)
3) Continue testing
I want to understand
1) Are the steps followed correct?
2) What is the correct method to stop vdbench from external application?

An other thought, that maybe is of interest to you, coming in the next version of Vdbench.
A conversation with one of my internal users:
It does not make sense to look at current Vdbench output trying to figure out what is happening when.
This locks us in to tricks and guessing and prevents me from make changes to the output.
Monday I will create a new file in Vdbench: status.html
This file will only be there for any kind of wrappers to see what is going on.
I'll make sure that the file contents are flushed to the file system as soon as a line of text has been written.

we have changed a plant (#1234) master data it was under comapany code(12) now it is under comapny code(59) on the r3 side, now there is data in the cubes already which was loaded before the change, and we still want to use it, but since master data has changed and reloded, what will happen when i run reports on the old data,
secondly i know i can use time dependant objects but my question is what will happen if i dont use it. will the old data run fine under the new comapny code? and what other things will this change effect.

ok whats confusing me is that suppose we have this record in the cube
