What are the major differences b/w live copy blueprint and Language copy of CQ ?
We are in process of creating a different Language Versions of a Website and trying to figure out the best/recommended approach.
what are the major differences b/w live copy blueprint and Language copy of CQ ? which one is recommended in which ? any pointers on this would be appreciated. The language copy tool is a one-shot tool to create pages under a certain structure. It has a nice UI for it. But that's it.
The MSM blueprint/livecopy concept is much more powerfull, because it has live connections between the blueprint and the livecopy. It does not only allow you to easily create livecopies, but supports you also in maintaining the relationshop between these. So you can easily detect, that the blueprint page has been updated and needs to be rolled out again. Or that there are conflicts, because both blueprint and livecopy have been updated independently. And so on.
From my perspective the language copy tool should not be used, because with creation of language pages the "fun" has just started and the real work is just ahead.

What are the major differences between BODS and Talend ?
Hi Friends,
We had a client meeting 2 days back regarding BODS project, But our client is showing more interest on Talend. We have explained/demo him on BODS. Could any one please tell me, What are the major differences between BODS and Talend ? What are the features of BODS which are not there in TELEND ?
Thanks,
Bheem.Hi,
If you talk difference than Talend is an open source. SAP DS as huge advantage when it comes to loading data into SAP and it is more flexible with lots of inbuilt features and easy to load data into SAP using DS directly and extracting data from various legacy systems. -

What are the major differences b/w DTP & Infopackage
HI Experts,
what are the major benifits of DTP over Infopackages???? also what are the major differences b/w them ????
Cheers
SwapsSince you are talking of DTP's, I assume you are working on BI 7
In BI 7:
Infopackage- is used to pull data from the source system to the PSA. PSA is compulsory in BI 7. Beyond this infopackage doesn't play any role.
DTP: DTP's are used to transfer data from one data provider to another.
it can be
PSA - DSO/Cube
Cube - CUbe
DSO - Cube
DSO - DSO and so on
Hope this helps

What are the major differences between the air and the pro
what are the major differences between the air and the pro?
In a nutshell, the Air is a lightened, more compact system than the 13" Pro counterpart. The Air loses some hardware features to accommodate the physical downsizing.
No FireWire port
No built-in optical drive
A lesser performing CPU to retain battery charge life, and adequate cooling.
No Ethernet port
No Kensington lock slot
The Air does have a superior native resolution at 1440 x 900, and a standard SSD that does make up alot of the speed differential, and then some. Of course, the 13" Pro can be optionally configured with an SSD.
You buy the Air if the physical size an weight savings are demonstrably more important than the features lost. -

What are the major differences between UCCX v7 and v8.0.2
Does anyone know of a matrix or document which shows the major differences between UCCX v7 and v8.0.2?
I have looked high and low, even searched this forum, but have not found anything.
I've even looked at release notes in 8.0.2 but couldn't see anywhere that states the changes.
Any help appreciated.Hi,
I have awarded you both with the 'correct answer'.
I went through, painstakingly, the documents I was linked to above and compared.
In the end the major differences are pretty much what you have outlined here - which is exactly what I wanted.
Thank you both very much.
Cheers,
Brett

In a Carrier Ethernet domain,Could someone please help me understand what's the basic difference between Access Switch and Aggregation Switch both in terms of s/w and h/w functionalities. MEF deals OAM,CFM, EVC provisioning only at the access edge switches. Do we need to repeat all these at the aggregation level? or is it just used for routing purpose? Do we have a separate Fault Management at the aggregation level?

What are the major difference between ssis 2008 R2 and 2012
Hi,
We are planning to upgrade some of the packages from 2008 to 2012. If someone would provide a few insight then it would be great.
Thanks,
sarat chandra sahooThe major difference that has come up in SSIS 2012 is a new deployment model called project deployment model. As per this package is no longer a basic unit but its the project. When you use this deployment model you can deploy project from Visual Studio/SSDT
environment directly to the server. The project in this case will get stored in Integration Services Catalog which uses a new db called SSISDB in the relation database itself. So in that sense its more closely coupled to database engine. Also you cant deploy
a single package in this case, it has to be complete project. The project also preserves the versions for packages so any time you can revert to one of the previous version if needed. SSIS Catalog doesnot use configurations. Instead there's new concept of
parameters introduced. Parameters can be defined at project or package level and this will help you to sent values from outside. You can also define environments inside SSIS catalog and created variables in it. This should then be mapped to parameters within
project/package and based on value you set for variables package will execute with values at runtime.
See
https://www.simple-talk.com/sql/ssis/ssis-2012-projects-deployment-configurations-and-monitoring/
Other changes include new tasks like exepression task, DQS Task etc and features like data taps which can be used for debugging data flow at runtime

What are the major differences from the Z77A-G41 and the G45 MB
I bought a supposedly new, never used, yeah buyer beware, MSI LGA Z77A-G41 through Ebay. Noticed after the build a popping from the audio and now getting RF static(HD drive electronic noise) through the rear audio port. So I was trying to find a "NEW" G41 which are now out of stock or ridiculously overpriced. So if I can't buy a G41, how is the G45 in comparison? Do I have to totally do a fresh install or are the G41 and G45 drivers close to not have to do this? I will probably buy a MSI Z77A-G45 re-furb from MSI; just wanted to know the differences ...
Thanks
RonThere are just minor differences. The G41 a cut down board while G45 is a better equipped board. Only advantage of G41 is offering PCI slots for older sound cards and such while G45 just offers PCI-Express. Only G45 offers SLI support and therefor slots for vga cards able to run x8/x8 and better vrm cooling. G45 is the better and therefor higher priced board.
No fresh install is needed when replacing the G41 with a G45 because both are Z77 boards and drivers are identical. -
