I've just bought a brand new Mac Mini server - 2.6GHz, with a 256GB SSD.
I have also bought a 512GB SSD from Crucial, along with a Dual Drive Install Kit from OWC, and will probably be installing it myself.
I've read a lot of info on various forums/websites that is a little concerning.....regarding data loss when you reboot the Mac having installed the new SSD (not sure if this just applies to adding the SSD to a system that contains a 'normal' HDD.....)
If I'm going to have 2 SSDs in my system, I guess there are 2 questions:
1. Can I just add the new 512GB SSD without any reboot issues
2. Is it important to keep the system SSD physically where it is, i.e. at the bottom of the Mac (and plugged into the same connection on the logicboard?)

Just one more thing - the crucial drive came with a data transfer cable (SATA to USB) - I haven't got my dual drive install kit through the post yet...so do you foresee any problems with me installing the software that I will be using on the 512GB drive, in preparation for it being internally installed - is that possible to do with this cable?

1. Tfs is a dependent software, but have prerequisites for installation. And you may check MSDN pages to see the requirements like:

There are three ways to do this:
1) Install a server OS on the laptop. I tried this on an 8 gigabyte laptop and ran out of RAM for all of the things I wanted to do (SS, Calc Mgr, Essbase, EAS, APS, FDM, Financial Reporting, Planning, etc.).
2) Go to a VM solution, such as VMWare (I like VM Workstation, personally). Watch out for this on memory as 8 gigabytes isn't going to be enough. The Great and Good John G has recently published notes on how to set up 11.1.2.1's compact deployment mode. That might work in a laptop (yes, you wrote PC but nowadays that so often means laptop) -- I have yet to try it but have high hopes.
3) Go to the cloud. I personally prefer this as it is so easy and fast although you are paying a per-hour charge. Check out John Booth's blog: www.metavero.com for more details -- his blog links to mine for the instructions on how to launch that first EPM AMI.

What are the correct steps for installing Oracle Entitlement Server SSM?

Can somebody explain what are the correct steps to install OES SSM 10.1.4.3? I have installed OES admin 10.1.4.3 and applied the CP2 patch. it is allowing me to open Entitlement Administration, where I can define the policy.
Is it sufficient to have this Entitlement Admin to call the policy from BPM? Do I need a SSM ?
When I try to configure Java SSM using ConfigTool.bat -process myssm_config.properties I am getting the following error

My Mac is becoming slow and is incompatible with many softwares and websites. Does anyone know of any problems associated with this upgrade? Clearly there are some applications I need to remove and no doubt my HD could do with a 'spring clean'. My Mac 'Safe Booted' when I turned it on this morning.
I use many different softwares, some web-based. The decision to upgrade to OSX Yosemite is because I was unable to attend a Webinar this week using GoToMeeting downloadable software. GoToMeeting have upgraded their system and my OS is no longer supported. Other websites like VImeo no longer support my version of Safari. I tend to use Chrome if Safari isn't compatible.

I'm thinking of upgrading from v10.6.8 Snow Leopard to OS X Yosemite. However I have noticed that my MacBook Pro becoming ‘slow’ over the last 3 weeks and therefore might have some issues that need to be resolved before I even consider installing OSX Yosemite. I want to get a gaming and graphic design pc, and I'm thinking of the Phoenix envy or any other models you could recommend, so what softwares that are installed does it have? I would prefer a pc version of Adobe photoshop and the best art program/ editing program? Thx!

I think, I need servers and clients of E-Business Suite & RDBMS (10 g or 11g). I'm afraid whether 200GB of free disk- space & 3 GB RAM on my Desktop may not be sufficient if I install both servers & Clients.
So, please suggest the essential components of E-business Suite and RDBMS I should get to start learning Financial Module considering the above limitation.

The following are the basic requirement:
1) Windows machine: 2 GB of memory
2) Windows machine: Disk space 3GB
3) Browsers: Firefox 3.x or IE 7.x
Software for Windows Machine
JDeveloper 11.1.1.3
On the Windows machine, open a browser and go to the OTN download site for JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 .
In the Windows Install row and the Studio Edition column, click the link for the filename given. This is an .exe file.
Accept the license agreement when prompted and finish the download.
Save this file anywhere you wish.
This version of the JDeveloper binary contains the required version of the JDK. You will download two additional JDeveloper extensions from within JDeveloper after installing it.
