What's the right tool to use to migrate forms modules.?

I'm in doubt deciding which might be the right tool to use to migrate forms modules from 6i to 10g.
The obvious choice seems to be Forms Migration Assistant. However I found Metalink Note: 201344.1 which clearly states :
"We recommend to use ifcmp90 as there may arise some issues due to the migration assistant ifplsqlconv90. ifcmp90 upgrades the 6i fmb to 9i fmb whereas ifplsqlconv90 upgrades obsolete plsql , such as built-ins like set_alert_property. So it is advisable to use the ifcmp90 instead"
I have a newer version of FMA and i've done some test and it compiles and upgrades forms modules, but does not generate fmx files. So i conclude one should user FMA first and later generate fmx files either one by one or batch compile.
Please any comments are welcome ....!

correct. You use FMA first and then compile the FMX files. You can also use the Forms builder environment to perform the migration, but FMA is more convenient to use.

Quick Select tool works well for many cases. Secret is to use small brush size and mark both the selected areas (with the + tool) and the non-selected areas (with the - tool).
If you can't find something that satisfies you, you can install Extract from the CS4 Extras. This will be on your PS install disk or in the Extras you downloaded if you purchased and downloaded online.
If you still can't find it, Russell Brown has the extra files on his site. There are also good tutorials for just about any extract/masking/knockout method you can think of.

What is the best tool to use if I want to quickly create and learn SQL?

I have downloaded and installed:

1) I extracted the two zip files and placed them in c:/SQLPlus
2) In Win XP systems > Advanced:
a) I added the User variable "SQLPATH" and value "c:\SQLPlus"
b) added in System Variable "SQLPlus" and value "c:\SQLPlus"
After all that, I double clicked the SQL*Plus.exe in C:/SQLPlus folder and still cannot run the application. What else do I need to make it work?

Thank you for your suggestion. However, I don't know where to get or create username and password so that I could login to SQL*Plus using instant client?
I tried username: SYSTEM and password: manager it gives me an error "ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error" and if I enter user/pass@orcl it gives an error of "ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified"
I also read this post below and changed the NLS_LANG's value to NA and still doesn't work.
Instant client and 10g on XP
Could somebody please let me know what else I need for running the basic + SQLPlus instant client on my win xp home edition? Where do I get the username and password? and do I need to edit anything in the regedit.exe ?
I read somewhere else that XP Home edition is not the recommended platform for running oracle. Is this the reason why I'm getting the TNS errors?

i created one transport request for transporting custom appset to quality system.
while importing in quality i'm getting request in red color. checked log:

we intially transported Non BPC cubes, along with that infoarea name(/cpmb/bpc) came. But i'm able to see several /cpmb/xx infoobjects. I manually moved from infoarea(/CPMB/BPC) to other infoarea(ybpc) with new request in quality. next i'm trying to delete /cpmb/xx infoobejcts through one program(around 700 infoobjects are exists). can i use ujt_content_activate program to delete contents of appset, if i use that program what i have to mention in content version field? can anyone eloborate usage of ujs_activate_content? we are on bpc75nw sp04
any suggestions pls to import request correctly.

continution to above question. sequence of things happend in our side.
Few BW cubes(not bpc), which are getting data from bpc applications(bpc cubes) via APD are transported. Imported to quality succesfully.
Next transferred around 5 BADIs(classes & enhancement implementations) to quality system, which were written for moving data among bpc applications as well for few calculations in plng applications. Succefully imported into quality system and checked respecive BADIs.
Next trying to transport custom appset. while importing facing above problem. Followed SAP how-to guides/methods.

Not according to the people I have rented from because I asked them. They provided me with a suggestion I simply thought I would get another opinion.
I am not trying to get anything for free I just want more than 24 hours to finish watching a movie on my iPad. If iTunes would give more than 24 hours to finish a movie (like 48???) it would help. I have spend endless hours trying to comunicate with Apple about the issue. Guess what no one cares! I love Apple and my Apple products, I am a very good customer but I think they are over the top on this issue, they have a monopoly.
Maybe you have another suggestion??

Thanks for contacting National Instruments support. Each set of the vis you mention are the latest, and some use similar methods to do the FFT than the other. The SMT is usually the best in most applications. There is also another option in the case of scope, you can fetch FFT data from the driver. The FFT is not actually implemented in hardware, but in the driver, and this is transparent to the user. It's simpler to use, but not as efficient as the SMT.

Fce, what is the best format to use?

have the home movie on dvd which I am pulling off with either handbrake or streamclip. what setting do I use for the output? the mac guy in my pro lesson mentioned there are many diff mpeg4s...but then wouldn't elaborate because even though it MY HOME MOVIE, that I SHOT MYSELF, and is on dvd, that it is illegal and he can't talk about it since by definition dvd is encoded and that is against the law...and to write my congressman to change the law....yet I don't feel like waiting that long to see if someone can tell me what is the best quality to use.
also, I am now using my sanyo c6 which puts it onto an sd card, which I can connect via usb2 and bring right in...is that ok quality, or is that also not so hot?

The video & audio on playable DVDs are encoded as MPEG2. It is not DV video, it is MPEG2 video. MPEG2 video is a totally different format from DV and is much more highly compressed than DV.
To convert a DVD's MPEG2 format to the DV format needed by FCE, you need a tool such as MPEG Streamclip. Streamclip is capable of converting many different video formats to DV however if you need to convert MPEG2 video to DV it relies on QuickTime. The error message you are getting is that your system does not have the QuickTime MPEG2 Playback Component, which you will have to purchase from Apple ($19) if you want to use Streamclip to convert MPEG2 videos to DV.
DVDxDV and DVDxDV Pro are good products but they are respectively $25 and $80. The Pro version is a better choice than the regular version imho because it has more features and will give your converted files timecode. Not absolutely necessary, but very nice to have. The more video editing you do the more you will appreciate having timecode. Streamclip is free and the QT MPEG2 Playback Component is $19.

What is the best practice for using the Calendar control with the Dispatcher?

It seems as if the Dispatcher is restricting access to the Query Builder (/bin/querybuilder.json) as a best practice regarding security. However, the Calendar relies on this endpoint to build the events for the calendar. On Author / Publish this works fine but once we place the Dispatcher in front, the Calendar no longer works. We've noticed the same behavior on the Geometrixx site.

There really is no BEST setting. The "best" setting is the one that sounds the best to you.
Having said that, you also asked what setting provides the highest quality audio. In that case, you need to use a lossless format, such as AIFF, WAV, or Apple Lossless. MP3 and AAC are both compressed formats, and will not provide as good of an audio quality as a lossless format.
My personal preference would be Apple Lossless, but any of the lossless formats will produce an almost identical quality to the CD track.
Keep in mind, the files will be quite large.

Seriously, though "screen glare will cause eye strain" is often taken as an article of faith, there's not a lot of good scientific evidence for it. "Eye strain" can be caused by concentrating on any close work for long periods of time. Looking up and focusing on something distant periodically is very helpful. Older CRT screens that flicker also can be aggravting. I'm not denying that some people find reading backlit screens uncomfortable. However, it's not dangerous. And, then, there are other people who find the higher contrast a backlit screen affords to be much less wearying over long periods of time.

Yes, there are programs that will put a movie on a DVD. I have tried most of the other substitutes including Toast, Burn, DVD Creator, Wondershare, and others. None of them come anywhere near the ease-of-use and power of iDVD.
