What are the two little arrows in the mail Inbox window

In the OS7 Mail Inbox window, along the top of the message section with from and date and subject, there is a little box with two opposing arrows. What is this for?

If this is the one you're referring to, clicking it makes mail go full screen.

The legs are so you can wind the adapter cord around to help store i without so much mess.

At first read, I also thought it sounded a bit snide. Who here has read the entire manual before going to the web for a quick search? (Not me, and in fact, I found my answer - to this very question, by reading this post WAY faster than if I had read the manual. What is so wrong with that?)
That is the beauty of having support forums. If it is a bother to answer, without being snide, one is not obligated to do so. And my apologies if he was not being snide... but there maybe a better way to point out the manual, such as "I have included a link to the searchable manual which may be of assistance to you next time you are puzzled by your iPhone's behaviour".

Thanks for replying, but that isn't the answer I am looking for. Also, there is no + sign, UNLESS you do tap the overlapping boxes.
Let me try to ask my question a little more clearly:
When I tap the two overlapping boxes on the lower left (the option to Open New Windows), the new Window that appears will show your Bookmarked FAVORITES. But with my new iPhone 6, and the new iOS 8.0.2, when I tap the two boxes to open a New Window, my Bookmark Favorites show (as they always have and should), but below them, there is a dividing line underneath them, and it says Recently Viewed Websites, and has these websites available to tap.
So my question is, HOW DO I TURN THESE OPTION OFF?
*UPDATE (10.13.14): Since I have asked this question, I no longer see these Recently Viewed Websites under my Bookmarked Favorites in my new Window tabs. So I hope that Apple fixed it, or somehow it was a mistake, or somehow I changed an Option on my iPhone 6 that stopped this for reoccurring.

I've read that Promise Pegasus2 series does not sell replacement parts. I'm buying the new MacPro but am concerned about spending $2K for storage that may break and cannot be fixed. What are others buying for storage for the new MacPro?

I'm buying the new MacPro but am concerned about spending $2K for storage (12tb version) that may break and cannot be fixed (am told that one must purchase a new unit if a part breaks). I've used the original Pegasus R6 units for a couple of years now and have been very pleased with them. On the two occasions I've had to call on their technical sujpport, I've found them readily available, knowledgeable, and very helpful. In one case it involved the reset of a unit after a power failure at an inopportune time; in the other case it was a question about upgrading disk drives to higher capacities (1 Gb gto 4 Gb). I was pleased to learn that their tech support people were in California and as good if not better than upper-tier AppleCare reps. The hardware itself has functioned flawlessly so far.

After looking at other people's posts, I think it's official: there is a bug. Itunes support said I should not have lost the drag/drop tool and I haven't on the laptop that is running itunes 10.4 and operating system 10.6.8. I chatted with someboby who lost both his drag/drop and side scroll and what we have in common is a wacom tablet for a mouse. My laptop is a wireless mouse. I reinstalled whatever updated driver that wacom has out there, shut the system down for night, hoping for magic, but alas none to be had. So if I want to change song order, I network the laptop and desktop, share the screen on the laptop, drag and drop to my heart's content and curse Apple for making me work this hard to find the tool that was once at my fingertips. Apple also let me know that if I want to share songs in household that the hundreds on songs that were purchased for .99 need to be repurchased for another .30. Maybe Apple is holding my drag/drop tool captive til I pay up the money or Maybe the next update will fix the problem, I for one give up for now.

What are Apple doing to compensate for the damage caused by the iPhone 4 bumper?

I have noticed damage caused by the bumper.
It is NOT foreign object but caused by the hard plastic on the inside of the bumper
(plese do not come out with rubbish like steel is harder than plastic) I am not stupid and I know that the damage matches the pattern of the bumper skeleton.
What I want to know is when are Apple going to deal with this and replace my phone?
I dare not go to the so called Genius bar in Milton Keynes as they have adopted a Dixons style "fob off" attitude and I will become rather angry with them.

Finally I am a consumer who has paid for a product that is not living up to expectations. The plastic skelton is hard and abrasive (I know what that means as I went to School) Abrasion's are marking the product.
This is not the only time this has been reported and as such I have no issue with particles entering the bumber. This has happened from the start (when I used Apples stupid bumber case)

I need some clarification for following things.
1)i have given the export like this

 but while setting the offest for pager, i am doing like this

 can i customize the pager.offset to pager.(someting) like that.
2)if i use pager.offset for two page nations in the same page pager.offset value is overriding,So i am unable to maintian the page nations.
3)i can change the offset value into sreenyoffset in the export property of pager tag,if iam able to change the pager.offset value to customized value my problem will solve.

I was trying the pagination concept in jsp. I am getting a lot of errors. Can u help me for displaying this pagination.i need to display dynamic records according to search criteria. In search criteria, an area is selected and the data related to that area should be displayed from a table in mysql . It has 100+ records each
with 6 columns, each page should be displaying 10 records, what we call pagination. I was trying this(in java jsp)( should not do in struts, should be done only in jsp) for a long time. By ur faq, i understood u hava already done it. Pls try to help me. Can u pls send me a sample program regarding this?

sounds like you are in full screen mode for that app. you will not see the red yellow grn.
exit full screen Upper right corner, click the double arrows

In Lion, why did Apple remove the up/down arrows in the scroll bars? There is currently no way to move up and down in small increments. WHY????

Every mac operating system software until Lion had the ability to use up/down arrows in the scroll bar. This makes it easy to move up and down in small increments. In Lion, it is impossible to move up and down in small increments. Click on the scroll bar and it moves up or down an entire page. When you try to put the curser on the scrollbar and move it up just a little, it moves a whole bunch. With the up/down arrows, you can click on the arrow and it will scroll ulp or down one line a time. There is no way to do this in Lion. Why would apple remove the very useful feature of up and down arrows.
