Don't know. You have not told us what system you have.

  • What are rthe recovery tols for Real Time

how to recover my Data in time of crash . can I partition my PXI controlller running in realtime in c and D . what are the advantages and Disadvantages.
    Suresh Thangappan

    Suresh -
When configured properly RT systems are very stable deterministic systems, but on rare occasions a crash can still occur. In most situations recovering data may be as simple as FTP'ing to the RT system and downloading the data files. However, if a crash occurs while a file is being written it can corrupt the file, the sector on the disk, and possibly even the drive (similar to the behavior in any OS).
If the PXI chassis is booted into windows, any disk recovery tools that runs in windows may be used to attempt recover corrupt files or sectors.
Partitioning a drive when using Windows works great, but is not supported in RT. At this time RT will only recognize the first partition on each physical drive.

  • What are these folders/files for?

music > iTunes > Album Artwork > Cache > and then a list of fifteen folders numbered 01,02 to 15, then a further 15 and then some more and some more and then at the end of each path are some .itc files.
What's it all about? Is it corrupt and should I delete these files? Do I need them?
I am just trying to get to the bottom of why my computer is always running slow.

that's where iTunes stores the cover art for your media files. it's completely normal. you will want to keep those unless you have manually embedded artwork in your files.
have a look at the Mac OS X speed FAQ instead.

  • What are these fonts used for?

InDesign CS4 has a list of fonts that are set apart from other fonts with horizontal divider lines. The preview under the Type > Fonts menu shows foreign language characters for most of the fonts. Yet, if these fonts are applied to text, standard English characters are displayed. What would one use these fonts for?

Yet, if these fonts are applied to text, standard English characters are displayed.
Well, yes, because changing the font should not change the character set -- i.e., changing the text "Russian" to a font containing Cyrillic should not change the text to "Русский". It's just circumstantial these fonts also contain Latin characters; if they wouldn't, the text would change to pink boxes (indicating 'missing glyph').
The fonts are set apart because ID uses some sort of classification, probably based on the Unicode coverage per font; it seems to group per script. Browsing my list, I see separations between fonts for Chinese, Japanese, Korean (?), Arabic, Thai, and Hebrew.

  • What are these devices? ( for a sunfire 280r )

    ohci0, fssnap0, winlock0, lockstat0

If you use Google for each you'll find that most are software constructs, not hardware.
    ohci
    fssnap
    winlock
    lockstat
... and instance zero for each.
They are not peculiar to a 280R but are rather generic for computing systems.
    http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/o/ohci.htm
There may even be man pages for each.

  • What are the best tools for opening very large XML files and examining the tree and confirming they are valid?

I am generating some very large XML files (600,000+ lines, 50MB+ characters). I finally have them all being valid XML and valid UTF-8.
But the files are so large Safari and Chrome will often not open them. FireFox will though.
Instead of these browsers, I was wondering if there are there any other recommended apps for the Mac for opening and viewing the XML, getting an error message if they are not valid for some reason and examing the XML tree?
I opened the file in the default app for XML which is Xcode, but that is just like opening it in a plain text editor. You can't expand/collapse the XML tree like you can with a browser, and it doesn't report errors.
    Thanks,
    Doug

    Hi Tom,
I had not seen that list. I'll look it over.
I'm also in touch with the developer of BBEdit (they are quite responsive) and they are willing to look at the file in question and see why it is not reporting UTF-8 errors while Chrome is.
For now I have all the invalid characters quashed and things are working. But it would be useful in the future.
By the by, some of those editors are quite pricey!

  • What are the best options for creating a PDF with bookmarks and a hyperlinked TOC?

What I'm interested in is whether or not there is an alternate process I could follow that would side step Word 2011's inability to export to PDF with bookmarks and hyperlinked TOCs. How do you create PDF documents with bookmarks and hyperlinked TOCs in your documents?
    Some background:
In Word 2010 and 2013 for Windows (and I'm sure this applies to older versions as well), you can export documents to a PDF file format where the exported file will carry over the bookmarks and hyperlinked table of contents. Specifically, by making specific text headers, will appear in the final PDF file as bookmarks on the side (see image taken from Adobe's website).
Regarding the table of contents, using Word's built in Table of Contents feature successfully ports the ability to navigate to a specific section by clicking on its chapter in the table of contents to the finished PDF file.
I've read several forum discussions that say it's not possible to do this from Word 2011, so my current solution is to just finish all documents on a Windows machine (either with parallels or a separate computer). The alternate process flow of creating a word document, exporting it to PDF, then rehyperlinking everything in Acrobat is just too time consuming to consider.

    Hi, beejasaurus
I found a possible kluge from this discussion here
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1008480
Create the hyperlinks in Word, save the file
Open that file with Pages, export as PDF.
The links work from that PDF.
Note, I did not try this with TOC but it worked with hyperlinks embedded in the Word document

  • What are the basic steps for creating a content repository?

I am trying to create a document store on a file system (fsdb) that will hold files that are ftp's to that location. Is this possible using KM? If so, what are the basic steps for creating a file system repository and using it through KM? I have found stuff on help.sap.com but that only tells you what each component does not what actual steps need to be taken to setup KM, such as user rights , creating an entry point, so that all of KM is not visible, etc...
If anyone knows of any guides that show a step by step process that would be great too.
    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi Paul
First of all you need to create a new repository
Suppose you want to add all the documents under folder Paul under C: Drive
(Even you can put whole documents of C: drive into Paul)
Navigate to System Admin -> System Configuration -> Knowledge management -> Content Management -> Repository Manager -> File System Repository
There you can create a new directory by clicking on button New
Give the parameters as follows :-
    Name               :           Anything you like
    Description       :           Anything you want
Prefix (must start with /)  :  Probably same as your repository name like \Paul
    Lookup mode : caseless
    Root Directory   :  C:\Paul
NOTE:  This is the trick. You need to give the proper path means folder path which you want use as repository)
Repository Services  :  Any services you want
    Property Search : Managercom.sapportals.wcm.repository.manager.generic.search.SimplePropertySearchManager
    Security Manager         :           AclSecurityManager
    ACL Manager Cache   :           ca_cm_rep_acl
    The save it
Now see whether the same repository is coming under KM Content or not, if not may be after restart it will come.
I think the above information will help you. If still you have problem, please feel free to contect me.

    Chamkaur

  • What are the optimal values for mac and arp timeout values

    Hi Guys.
What are the best values for "mac address-table aging-time" and "arp timeout" by following scenarios?:
    - single sg300-10 as layer3-switch with a maximum of 10 local (direct connected) hosts
    - and a 3750x-stack with 100 local hosts + hsrp with a other stack of the same sort
or for asa 5520 as internet gateway for 500 clients?
I use at the moment a mac aging-time from 300 seconds and a arp timeout from 3600 seconds.
    Is this o.k.?
    Thanks.

    Marvel.
As far as enhancing the CLI, it will of course be enhanced when new firmware releases provide new features. As far as making it more IOS-like, best to my knowledge, no.  The only other supported CLI on the SB switches are on the SX500 series and SX200E series which the CLI are all consistent. If you bought a SX500 series the commands are nearly identical minus the different feature sets.

Do you happen to have an Android?  If so and depending on what version there is a great data usage analyse tool built-in.  See if you can go to Settings -> Data Usage  from there you can pick a current or previous billing cycle and then use the vertical sliders to select a date range and it will filter the usage data per app to show you exactly what app(s) were using data during that time frame.
