What aspects of MM does SD person need to know?

Hi Experts,
Is it common for employers to demand SD person do MM?
If so, what aspects of MM is practically need to know by SD person?
To me, it would be the following, please feel free to add to the list and briefly describe.
1. MMBE check stock qty.
2. configure Availability Check.
3. create material master data
4. Transfer requirements
5. movement type config
6. scheduling
7 ?
I am trying to know SD -related aspects a SD person should know to be able to support a bit of MM.

I think it's more important to know the movement types and what they mean in an inventory process, than to actually configure new movements. I've worked with the system for 18 years - and have never had occasion to create a new movement type.
The availability check is really SD. This is (at least was) covered in the certification academy. This is i certainly important - because the SAP delivered settings don't make sense in most cases.
Anything you learn about MM will be useful. I would focus more on:
1. Basics of inventory management
2. Purchase requisitions/purchase orders for stock
Next would be some general logistics subjects:
3. Batch management basics
4. Serial numbers

Reader is an excellent, and free, option for your recipients who need to fill out your form. It's easily downloaded from www.adobe.com/products/reader.html. You can also use the Fill & Sign service on Acrobat.com to fill any PDF form.
What troubles are your recipients encountering? And those who do have trouble--how are they filling out the form?

As for in ABAP seeing documentation for values, simply double click (or F1) on the parameter, if there are docs available you will usually get them. If the parameter is a reference to something by double clicking you usually get taken to the item, from there you try again to double click or F1 and see what you get.
So what I did was typed your program in, in SE38 and then looked at the code and found this:

      call method cl_http_client=>create

          service            = service_str
          proxy_host         = proxy_host
          proxy_service      = proxy_service
I assume this is where you are looking so I tried to double click on "proxy_service" - nothing, I tried F1 - nothing.
So now I look at how this is a method call so I double click on "cl_http_client" and low and behold I am taking to the method itself. Now I go to the method "CREATE" (<i>cl_http_client=>create</i>) and I click on the "PARAMETERS" button at the top of the screen next to "EXCEPTIONS" I now see a bit of information and a list of all the parameters used in the create.
From here you should be able to now play around see what all used and available with this method.

You can use SMS if the person is in thre United States and uses the "right" carrier.
Up to at least iChat 5 (Snow Leopard) the Computer could be set as if is were in the United States and the SMS options would show in the File Menu and Buddies menu of iChat.
This is set in System Preferences > Language and Text (in the Personal row before you get to the Security and Privacy/Firewall one)
The phone number could then be added as if it were a Buddy to the Buddy list with a leading + 1 as in +1234567890.
That phone has to be in the United States on one of these Carriers
By the time Messages comes along in Mountain Lion the SMS menu items disappear even though the app can still send SMS to AIM "phone Buddies"
I am not sure about OS X 10.7.x and iChat 6.x as I don't have a computer that can run that version at the moment (well I do but it is running Mountain Lion)

We can't say yes or No, so based on your requirement you need to sit with Functional COnsultanst and the understand the Business Requirements and develop the OBjetcs.

If you want to know the data flow and reconsilization then you need to know it else not required

Yes, one main difference is There is no setup table concept for FI DataSource*
Note: If you want to become a good BW consulatnt you must know about Tables for normal BW consultant it is not required.

I did my homework and discovered that my PowerPC will run Leopard. It can be purchased for $129 by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. This is much cheaper than replacing my laptop.

Upgrading to firefox 5 and updating my plug-ins helped a bit. Frog is less 'sticky' now, but it's not solved the problem. Java needs to be up to speed or the frog goes into stasis....

Also, note that a directory object can only point to a directory on the database server, not on your client machine... Unless you have your own My Documents folder on the database, which would be a tad unusual, this probably won't work regardless of the permissions your DBA gives you.
