What audio interface works best with Audition cs6

what audio interface works best with Audition cs6

It depends on how much you want to spend and how many channels you want to record/playback at once. So any decent (normally) external audio interface should do provided it also has robust ASIO drivers for your operating system. Don't go  for a gamer's interface though as they are not optimised for audio recording.

  • This is an embarassment! What audio interface works reliably with 10.5.2?

For years Mac's have been the computer of choice for professional musicians and I was an early adherent dating back to the 80's and the first Apple MacIntoshes using MOTU Digital Performer V 1. I wandered away to PC land to do some C+ programming and recently returned with a brand new MacBook Pro only to find that the audio interfaces I have tried do not work with 10.5.2. I have tried a Firewire Interface from Tascam and a USB interface from M-Audio. Both created problems ranging from system crashes to simply not working. Is there an interface that works reliably with Leopard, 10.5.2? I can't try them all? The hardware manufacturers are scurrying to make their stuff work. Why is it so hard and why don't we hear more from Apple on this issue? Musician's have been a large part of the Mac universe. How about some support?

Ok, Bucesam, you're freaking me out. I do periodic recording with my PowerBook using a Firebox. I've used my MacBook Pro several times since I got it, too. I just upgraded the MacBook to 10.5.2. Are you telling me the next time I need it for remote recording it won't work? I can't take time to check now, but will, probably right before I need it. Dang. Like a complete idiot, I blithely overwrote the 10.4.11 backup after all seemed right with 10.5.2. If anything, I would have expected even better core audio implementation in 10.5.
Enough of my ignorant hand wringing. Can someone who knows what they're talking about (not me) speak to this before brucesam and I commit sepuku?

  • Just bought a Macbook Air.  I does not appear to be compatible with my LCD projector.  What LCD projectors work best with MacBook Air?

My Cannon LCD LV-7210 projector does not recognize my Macbook Air nor does my Macbook Air recognize it is attached to an LCD projector.  Yes, I do have the proper adapter.
What LCD projectors work best with Macbook Air?  Does this LCD projector have auto-detect for computer?
    Thanks!

I've just purchased a *27in (aluminium case) LCD Cinema Display* and am using it with my MacBook Pro, linked by the supplied three-jack cable (Mini DVI display jack).
The 27" display uses Mini DisplayPort, not Mini DVI.
But I also have *a white-cased MacBook (purchased in 2008) which has an older type of display socket*, certainly not compatible with the Mini DVI type.
The early Mac Book uses Mini DVI.
    1. Is there a cable or adaptor available to link my older MacBook to the Cinema Display? Nothing in the online store looks 'right'
No. Mini DVI is single-link, and does not support the resolution needed for the 27" display.

  • Which Digidesign interfaces work best with Logic Pro ?

Can anyone tell which of these work best with Logic if any at all?
    - Digi-003
    - M-Box Pro
    - M-box2
    - M-Box mini
    - M-Powered

    Thanks for the posts
After hearing complaints about latency, driver
    issues, horrible quality,incompatibility with there
plugs in logic as well as no chance to stand against
performances and sound quality of other hardware half
there prices i thought to ask.
Wow. All that??? And then they recommend Migraine-Audio to you??? I don't think those posters know what they are talking about.
I've been using Logic since it could be used with Digidesign hardware, from version 4.8.1, and it has always worked very well.
It does pay to research the setting up of a DAW computer, as it is almost never just "plug-n-play" like many people believe. But once it is set up, it can run for years without problems. Most people experience problems because they change the setup, install free plugins, change audio gear, every other day of the week, and of course, that makes for a very unstable situation. No wonder they complain. But it is their tech-ethic they should be complaining about, not the equipment.
Can anyone verify there set ups and latency?
Here's one extensive test I did on my Digi 002R:
    http://nicksevilla.com/logicpro-som/LogicTests.html
The latency is the same as with other comparable FireWire interfaces. Not more, and not less.
i wont drag this out into a long post i just want a
round about, all logic users in other forums seem to
be against Digi hardware, most advised to buy the
cheapest possible M-Audio interface just to run M
Powered Pro Tools if i realy need PT at all.
Really??? All of them???And did they know they are advising you to buy stuff that actually does NOT work properly??? Shame on those posters you read, as Digidesign drivers are a LOT more stable that the Migraine-Audio ones. Digidesign themselves told me to stay away from M-Audio... so you read into that whatever you like. I'll keep that advise from them.
    Cheers

  • What audio interfaces are compatible with the iMac/Intel computer?

I see that MOTU has Intel-compatible drivers for its high-end audio interfaces. Are there any other audio interfaces--USB or Firewire--that are at present compatible with the Intel Duo Core machines that are under $300? I've checked with Tascam and Presonus, and theirs are not yet compatible. I have an inquiry in to M-Audio, but haven't heard back yet.
PS: Does anyone else think it is just a teensy bit dishonest of Apple to be selling audio interfaces in its online store without pointing out explicitly that they don't work on the Intel machines?

Well, it looks like M-Audio's Firewire Solo has a beta driver available for the Duo Core. Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. And it's well under $200 at a couple online stores.

  • Which audio interfaces work well with CoreAudio?

A number of older USB and Firewire audio interfaces do not appear to work properly with Tiger's CoreAudio, which promises major advantages in very low latency recording. Without a proper CoreAudio driver, audio can be reduced to mostly noise with just a trace of audio remaining.
This information is difficult to find until you actually try to use a device and find that it doesn't work. Several devices I tried out last summer right after Tiger was released did not work, though they promised fixes, but I don't want to have to pay more restocking fees for devices that don't work
Could someone post a list (or a link to a list) of devices that DO work? Thanks!

    Hi there,
don't buy M-Audio interfaces! I had USB and FireWire audio interfaces from them, their hardware is ok, but the software (drivers) suck! I had extremely bad latency problems. I even started a thread about it a while ago. Now I use an EDIROL FA-66 FireWire audio interface. It's a little more expensive than the M-Audio, but it works and it does NOT need any drivers because it's fully Core Audio compatible! Works good for me. I've heard similar good opinions on the Presonus FW interfaces. Hope that helps!

  • What ram will work best with....

Hi guys, i dont know that much about computers but i was wondering if you guys could give me some input on my setup.
    I plan on having:
    Amd athlon 64 3000 or 3200 (undecided)
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum motherboard  link to mother board --->  http://www.pccyber.ca/scrItem.asp?product_subtypes_id=127&product_types_id=14&product_id=4257
    Ati radeon 9600 xt
Now my question is that what ram would suite this best. The following link is a list of ram from a store near me:  http://www.pccyber.com/scrMain2.asp?product_types_id=20
I was wondering if anyone could look at that page and list the good ram from cheapest to most expensive (dont have to list it all just the best cheapest to the best most expensive)
Also any extra things i would need to get for the combo to work better? Things i would need to edit/change?
    Thanx in advance

Thx for the reply's only problem is that i live in canada and not all websites deliver that far without huge costs and taxes. I also prefer buying it from store incase something goes wrong.
The corsair mentioned is quite pricy and i was wondering if there was anythign cheaper from my previously mentioned website that would work well.

  • What wireless microphone works best with ipad for recording videos

I am wanting to purchase a wireless microphone for recording videos with my ipad version 8.2. Do anyone have a suggestion?

    Hi gentleone,
You likely have polarized sunglasses. If you turn your iPad from portrait to landscape (or vice versa) you'll be able to see your screen. I've experienced that with my sunglasses... The workaround to rotate it 90 degrees works for me
    Hope this answers your question!

  • What printers/scanners work best with the iMac

Hi there, would anyone recommend a good black and white printer with a multi scanner built in?

Which iMac model and which Mac OSX version? The pre-2006 iMacs this forum covers are now either poorly supported or complete adandoned by most pritner makers.
If "About this Mac" (from your Apple menu at the left end f the menubar) shows the word "Intel," please let us klnow and we can get you moved to the forum for newer iMacs; that one gets much more traffic.

  • What browsers work best with PowerBook G4 Mac OS X 10.4

What browsers work best with PowerBook G4 Mac OS X 10.4?

I still use Firefox 3.6.28  FF 3 is an old version and I get all kinds of warning from Mozilla about it, but I have deactivated those and it still opens web sites perfectly fine.  Others have gone to using TenFourFox but I had a group of plugins for Firefox that would not work with TFF.
The main thing you will encounter with browsing these days is a modern Flash plugin no longer supporting G-series Macs.  I still use the newest that was available for PPC Macs and have not encountered problems.  If you need help I can post about that too but it's a long post.

  • What online photo storage will work best with icloud?

I have 2 laptops and a iMac plus 3 iPhones and one iPad. Currently we have our photos all over the place, (20,000+).
What online photo storage will work best with the future icloud? looking for the best integration and security.

Thanks for the link.  I'd seen that.  I have indeed formally submitted feedback via Apple formal process.  I've even called Apple Care (had coverage under one of these boxes) and they put me in touch with Pro Apps.
All those folks could do was register my concern/complaint because there is NOTHING being provided within Apple that answers the question "what about my Aperture online gallery capability?".
If you happen to see a link offering any specific guidance or relevant migration solutions from abandoned MobileMe/Gallery users and customers and fans, please post it.
    I shall do likewise.
Since I can't activate iCloud services until I abandon MobileMe, and I won't abandon MobileMe and commit to all the migration time and effort until I'm convinced that replacement solution will be around for more than a few months, right now, I am caught in an Apple-caused chain of dependencies that leaves me quite frustrated!  Therefore, my search continues in earnest -- the part of the solution that concerns me most?  How many Apple software products that I've come to depend on are now obsolete or incompatible.....iWork, iWeb, iPhoto and Aperture all come to mind as potential victims to Apple's latest "progress"!
