What av cable is the best : composite or component

Hi is there a difference between the image quality when I used component av cable (MB128LL/A) or composite av cable (MB129LL/A) with my ipod classic and my plasma flat screen tv (Panasonic 50")?
Do you know some alternative product (the Apple one are a bit expensive)?
Thanks!

First off, the Apple products are the only ones that have the Video-ID chip in them, so they're the ONLY ones that work with the 6th Gen Classics.
Secondly, component cable is always better, especially since it can show your iPod videos in LOW-res HD.

I am trying to connect my ipod classic to a tv (sony bravia 1080p) and have tried many cables including the Apple composite AV cable with the 30 pin connector on one end and three RCA connectors on the other.  Audio works but video does not.  The ipod classic screen says to connect to device when it is already connected. No success.  Any thoughts?

    Hello, anabelleho.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here is a troubleshooting article that I would recommend going through when experiencing this issue.

what iphone case is the best?
I can get a  from here but need a case
    <Link Edited by Host>

The best case, is the one you like the best.  Seriously, how can we answer that?  Everyone has their OWN favorite case.  You need to find yours.  Not to mention we have no idea what phone you have???

First step before doing anything with OD is to make certain that local DNS services are correct.  To verify that, launch Terminal.app from Applications > Utilities on the test server, and issue the following harmless, diagnostic command:
    sudo changeip -checkhostname
You'll need to enter your administrative password for the sudo to be accepted.
If the output from that command reports no changes are required, then an export from the original OD and an import into the test system would be typical for testing, if you trust what's in the original OD.

  • What are some of the best cases for iPhone 5c?

What are some of the best clear cases for the iPhone 5c that can protect the phone well?

I was wondering the same thing?  I have a hard time with buying a case, because I bought the phone because of the color it already is!  lol
I was thinking about going with something like the Spigen Case Bumper.  Still allows you to see the color of the phone and still have protection.

What are some of the best & compact fax/printers compatible with Mac?

Most any All In One printer/fax/copy will work with a Mac running OS X.
The best thing you can do is pick one out based on cost and features then check whether there are drivers for it or if it is AirPrint compatible.

  • What digital camera is the best

Hi Guys and Dolls. I want to buy a digital camera up to £400 ($800) and don't have a clue which one. You are the only forum i trust. please excuse non-topical question but for me it will be once in a life or at least a decade purchase so i want to get it right. I'm not professional but i would like to take artistic, amateur artistic pictures.
    thanks

    Hello C.elegance
My current "serious" camera is the now-discontinued Sony Cyber-shot DSC-R1. It does NOT get dirt inside because it does not have interchangeable lenses; uses the same batteries, cables, and memory sticks as my Sony camcorders; and makes great images, including those with its powerful dedicated flash. Because of the kind of photography I enjoy, its slow shot-to-shot speed does not bother me.
What is "best" for you depends on your needs. Buy the ones with the features you want. However, I always have an opinion to share.
Because of the amount you want to spend, I am ruling out some great Point-and-Shoots that offer features in which you might be interested such as rugged construction, underwater capability, movie clip capability, and small size or light weight at a lower price.
Here are the ones I would call the "best" at your price point. Both are highly recommended by Digital Photography Review
    • Nikon D-80 Images from these cameras, particularly with their "at-additional-cost" lenses, are superb.
    • Canon EOS 400D Use the GREAT Canon EF-S lenses for superb image quality.
You may get other specific suggestions if you provide more details about the kind of pictures you want to make. Do you mostly make still-life images, portraits, or sports/action, etc.?
It will also help if you can identify any special requirements such as:
    • Size restrictions
    • All-weather or underwater use
    • High-durability (if you will make tens of thousands of images with this camera)
    • etc.
The more specifics you can provide, the more likely someone will already be using a camera like the one that will be "best" for you, so post back if you need more.
    Enjoy shopping!

    Hi all guys here.
    How are you all guys?
    I'm new here.
I'm now running IOS 4.1 for my both iPhone(3Gs and 4)
But i want the new features.
Can anyone here recommend me what the best IOS for iP3Gs and iP4? ( d best performance )
Without battery draining or make my iphone slower.
    I'm greatly appreciate that guys.
    Trillion Thanks!!!

Doesn't really matter, since the only iOS available for either of your phones is iOS 4.3.5, if you chose to update. Users have complained about every single iOS update since the first update for the original iPhone was released. Fact is, the vast majority of users have zero issues & happily go about their ways.

  • What java IDE is the best one?

What java IDE is best ?
What java IDE are you using?

I agree that you should decide on what you want your IDE to do.
How important is a GUI builder?
Do you need support for, say Java Server Faces?
Do you frequently work with XML files?
    etc, etc.
That being sad: IntelliJ Idea ist the best in many areas, the most important one being usability. This sounds like a small deal, but as each and every feature is very-well implemented, it really boosts productivity.
Currently it falls short in some areas, like support for Java Server Faces.
"dingfelder": Where did you get these numbers from? Last I know, Idea was the third most used IDE.
Also "quantity of users" is as good a criteria as the checksum of it's installer file.
There's a saying in german that literally translates too "Eat sh*t - milliions of flies can't err." Sorry for the french, but you get the Idea I hope.
Oh no, I can't believe that I posted on yet another "what IDE is best" thread. And even more so in a forum that should deal with other stuff.
    David001, I hope you're not simply a troll.

  • What naming scheme is the best?

I've imported photos from a hard drive into Aperture. The folders were listed as years. Then with folders of events within each.
On import to Aperture I have ie: 1999 as project. Within this I have many folders such as Fishing, XX birthday, XX birthday, Fun Park, Christmas, etc...
Then another Project 2000 and same as above.
Is there a better naming scheme I should use? In each year Project folder I have Christmas photos. Paintball tournaments. Family get togethers etc..
Some events the same just different years.
Is there a more efficient use of Apeture? Such as making a Christmas Project and then putting all Christmas photos in here? Should I then make year folders of the tournaments or for Christmas?
Not sure of the best use of Aperture to control photos?

For me the best thing is a unique name for every image. I had considered a date naming convention and did not go forward for a few reasons, first off the name was getting too long and I could always look for the date by metadata, so no need.
I figured naming by content presented problems such as what content if an image of a dog also has a cat in it? Skiing in Alta? Skiing or Alta.... Then there is the problem of remembering or finding the last numbered image in the group.
So I ended up with a simple sequence number. I was originally going to go with using letters for the beginning to coincide with a year. A=2001, B=2002 etc. I again threw this out as being redundant because of Metadata. I ended up just going with a letter first with 5 digits following. I edit down to keepers and then simply go back and see the last number I used and then use the following number.
In Aperture I place the images in projects of the shoot in folders of the client then in projects within those folders. I then put alias's in a sequentially numbered folder in groups of 1000.

  • What format gives you the best resolution for Home videos to be put on IPAD 2

I am a new user to the IPAD
I want to move some of my Home videos on to the I pad.
    What is the best format?
I have sync the same videos to I phone 4 they look great but on the Ipad they are grainy

Your settings -- between the Compressor, Pixel Aspect Ratio and Frame Size -- are oil-and-water.
If this is going to YouTube (meaning not going to be viewed on traditional TVs) and it's mainly Photos, try using this:
    Frame Size: 1280x720
    Aspect Ratio: HDTV 720p
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square
    Editing Timebase: 29.97
    Compressor: Motion JPEG A
Quality: 100% (though in a lot of cases, you could drag this down to about 75-80% and quality will not suffer)
Unfortunately, you won't get much (if any) real-time effects. Unless, of course, you're on FCP 6 or later, where you can use a ProRes compressor instead. But with your signature saying 10.4. something, I wasn't sure if it was safe to assume that. The Motion-JPEG setting should work in all versions.

  • We need advice on what cloud service is the best option for us

    Hello,
I work for a very small company, we have two designer. Both of the designers just go new computers and we are looking at switching to the cloud but are confused about what the best plan is for us. We mainly need the creative suites softwares but we occasionally both work with a few production suite programs as well. Again, it is only the two computers and we do not see a need to add anther computer within the new few years. What is the best option for us?
