What battery do I need?

I have a 15-inch, 2.53GHz, Mid 2009 MBP and my battery has been steadily dying for over a year now. I'm not sure exactly how much of a charge it holds but it only lasts about an hour fully charged doing minimal stuff. I don't have an Apple Care Plan and this tech store at my school said it would cost about $150 or something like that. Does anyone know the exact kind I need so that maybe I can order it online and have them just charge me for the installation? Thanks

You have a couple of options - you can just buy the battery from your uni tech shop and have them install the battery (what I would suggest) or you could buy an 'official' Apple battery through ifixit and replace it yourself, or you could buy a third-party battery from OWC and replace it yourself.
Just note that replacing the battery yourself is 'moderately' extensive. But the batteries from both online stores are less expensive than buying through your uni store. If it were me, however, I would just let the store order an replace the battery... much less hassle although you might save a few bucks.

I installed Adobe After Effectss CS6 because I was told by HP Support that it would still work; it doesnt. It is very slow, and locks up bad. What upgrades do I need to do, or am I looking at having to go buy another labtop? Also, can I do these upgrades myself - at what cost?

Your problem is that the program wants a good video card and a fast hard drive and lots of memory and you have none of the above. If you upgraded the RAM to 8 gigs and installed a solid state hard drive you might make the program useable but the real bottleneck is going to be the Intel HD graphics, which cannot be upgraded.
You do have an open slot to add one 4 gig memory module. This is an easy relatively inexpensive upgrade. See here:

I would try this a step at a time. Next would be the solid state drive. That would cost maybe $150. Post back if you need more help.

1) Could someone tell me what battery I need for the Tungsten E2; mine depletes quickly and is now on electrical charge.

Your Palm has flash memory, that means that when he battery dies or is disconnected, you won't lose your data. Basically, you have eternity to replace it.
As for battery type, you can get one at usedpdaparts.com, eBay or amazon.com under "tungsten e2 battery." (Keep in mind they come in slightly different capacities, the stock one, the high capacity one etc (1050 mAh, 1100 mAh, etc.) Another idea is to buy a decent condition e2 or model with a compatible battery and swap it in. I noticed that an entire PDA seems to be more cost effective than buying individual parts, but thats just my experience.

You need a CONVERTER, not ADAPTER The setup:

I got a 320GB sata 2.5" hard drive and installed it myself, its easy. I also got a caddy so I can use my old 120GB drive as a back up. Make sure u have everything backed up! Seagate and western digital drives are most popular. I asked similar q and got this answer"
Extended Hard Drive Preparation
1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger or Leopard.)
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (only required for Intel Macs) then click on the OK button. Set the number of partitions from the dropdown menu (use 1 partition unless you wish to make more.) Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the volume(s) mount on the Desktop.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Steps 4-6 are optional but should be used on a drive that has never been formatted before, if the format type is not Mac OS Extended, if the partition scheme has been changed, or if a different operating system (not OS X) has been installed on the drive.
If your backup is bootable, then boot from the external drive and use SuperDuper to clone it back to the newly installed drive.

Thunderbolt is a video, audio and data port, so you can use it to connect external displays, external drives or different adapters to connect a display or connect the Mac to the Internet. In the case of Ethernet, you won't notice the Thunderbolt speed, as it's more for external disks

Actually you need a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter. It will carry both audio and video.

The HDMI port on my Maxent tv is not working. I am hoping to connect my MacBook Pro to the TV via the VGA port on the TV to watch Netflix and movies. What cables do I need that will connect to a VGA port on a TV from my MacBook Pro (2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo)? And will that cable support audio or will I need a separate audio cable?
