What can I do after receiving the error message: registry settings of itunes drivers are missing?
After starting the newly installed itunes the following error message appears: registry settings of itunes drivers to import and burn CDs and DVDs are missing. Install itunes newly. Does not help- I did i twice. what shall I do?
in addition my iphone is not recognized when I branch it via USB port to my notebook. Is this related to the error as indicated ?

I am using OS 64 bit Windows Vista Home Premium and recently updated the latest version of iTunes. (I only have this CD burning software on my Laptop). Ever since updating, I received the message 'Registry settings for the iTune drivers are missing for CD burning'. The drivers for Lower and uppper filters in the registry are missingand I now have no optical drive. I have unistalled and reinstalled Itunes and manually entered the filters. Have tried everything including something called GEAR driver installer which was suggested on several technical sites. Everything was working fine in iTunes until I updated it.. It's strange I can still import music but not burn?? Friend s have told me they have ha dthe same problem when updating iTunes but resolved the problem by uninstalling/reinstalling or altering registry keys.
Today I went to use my Epson Printer and now have problems with it not working. I decided to uninstall/ install printer software and still can't get it to work either. I may be wrong but his all seems connected to me?

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.

I venture to say the recipient is a Windoze user and if so, state of the art Windoze ignores or doesn't recognize photo orientation data that is included with a photo's EXIF data.
There are 3rd party photo viewing apps that provide for this but not incorporated with Microsoft software. -

After following the instructions to completly uninstall iTunes and related components, I restarted computerand reinstalled iTunes, Then I received the error message that iTunes couldn't load because program file Apple Application Support (deleted as per instructions) wasn't present. What now?
With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.

Receiving the error message while executing the Real Time DTP

I am receiving the error message while executing the Real time DTP for Billing data.
Error Message - Record filtered in advance as error records with the same key exist RSM2 722
When I check the logs below is the message I am able to see. Can someone suggest as how to proceed further.
Diagnosis
The existing DTP requires a serialized update because fields are updated
non-commutatively during the processing run (for example, MOVE).
Therefore all new data records that have the same semantic key as
incorrect records that have not yet been corrected in earlier requests
or earlier data packages of the same request, are filtered out after the
extraction in a special step. In this way the system ensures that
incorrect data records are not repeated for your changes, which may not
contain errors themselves.

The data record is not updated but is written to an error stack.

Desktop Manager "disconnected" and I can't get rid of the error message
I just purchased a Blackberry Curve 8530, running v5 software, my computer is Windows 7. I installed the 501_b073_multilanguage software that I downloaded from Blackberry's website. When I launch the Desktop manager I get this message: "Before you begin, verify that your current BlackBerry device is connected to your computer." The troubleshooting posts I've seen on this forum include many tips (the ones I've tried are below). One in particular I can't do is "The desktop manager is showing "disabled."
-Make sure that the user has gone into the desktop manager and selected options > connection settings > detect."
... because I can't get rid of the error message dialoge box, and I can't click on the options menu in the BB Desktop Manager.
I have tried the following:
uninstalled it and reinstalled it twice - 2nd uninstall was a "hard" uninstall where I deleted the registry files by hand
moved the cable to the USB port in the back (after trying both the ports in the front) of the computer
restarted the computer many times
hard booted the phone by removing the battery
plugged in, removed, and replugged in the phone.
Also:
The phone is installing correctly when I plug it in, but the software still doesn't seem to see it.
In the Device Manager, the BlackBerry is showing up under Portable Devices. Double-clicking on it gives me the reassurring "This device is working properly." message.
The Com1 port is working properly also, according to the Device Manager.
Double-clicking on the device manager icon to get the properties shows that the Com1 port is "disconnected" -- when I try to configure it it just pops back to the disconnected state.
If someone has an idea or something I haven't tried I'd sure appreciate it!!

Go to Solution.Okay, folks, after a 3 1/2 hour phone call with a (very patient) telephone support person at Blackberry, here's what I learned.
You can check your USB drivers this way:
Plug in your phone into your USB drive. Assuming your Blackberry is "seen" by your computer...
Go into the Device Manager on your computer (control panel)
Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers item on the bottom of the list
Right-click on BlackBerry Smartphone and choose Properties
Click on the Driver tab
Click on the Driver Details button
You should see one driver. I saw two. The one the BlackBerry likes is the RimUsb one.
So here's what NOT to do: We tossed the entire driver that was the "extra". This effectively made using my mouse and keyboard impossible, as they are USB, and sent my poor husband into the basement to find a million-year-old keyboard (and then a mouse) with the old fashioned kind of connectors (PS2). Bleh. Don't do that.
Here's what I did that worked (not saything this will work for you -- this modifies the Registry so better do a system backup with that backup and restore if you're nervous about this sort of thing):
From the start menu, choose run, and type regedit to get into the Registry editor.
Follow this file path: Computer, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, Control, Class
Click on: {36FCE60-C465-11CF-8056-4445535400000}
If there's an item on the right called "UpperFilters", delete it. (see pictures)

2 students received this error message when they are trying to connect their forallbadges.com accounts to their openbadges accounts. After receiving this error message during our class time, I wasn't even able to log in to their persona accounts. When I enter their email and password info, I then click Sign In but nothing happens. It looks like the accounts are receiving an email that weren't receiving them before. I tried to create a persona account with a student that hadn't received a verification email and now she did! Everything then worked perfectly! I guess the programming update fixed that problem. -

Why won't mpeg files work in FCP 7?
I was given mpeg movie files (codecs: MPEG-2 Video, MPEG Layer 3) to edit in FCP 7. I tried opening them up in FCP but it woldn't play. So I decided to convert the files in MPEG STREAMCLIP to Apple ProRes 422. Now when I import it into Final cut, I c
