Is nouveau good for playing 2d games and 3d games?I have heard from many linux users that it doesn't run games well.you have to install the nvidia-prop. driver for playing full 3d acceleration games.But the downside of nvidia-prop. driver is that it is not supported well by desktop environments like KDE and gnome as it is not a opensource driver and it cannot be modified.i'm thinking of switching from nvidia-prop. to nouveau. any suggestions will be accepted.

Well, I previously ran the nvidia binary blob for many years, but the last couple of months I've been using nouveau and I can't say I've noticed any difference except perhaps in Blender when doing sculpting with very heavy subdivision levels. As for 2d I've noted absolutely no difference, certainly no slowdown with web animations either as someone stated. That said I'm not really doing alot of gaming, mainly some indie stuff and good old starcraft broodwars (using a VirtualBox win2k vm), so as far as taxing the 3d properties I guess only Blender applies but as I said it's been decent performance there. My card is a 9600GT.

I'm most likely to be getting a baseline iMac and I wanted to know if these computers are good for playing video games such as Skyrim before I get rid of my current PC. Also, are these games even compatable with a Mac. I've heard rumors that you can't play these kind of games on a Mac.

Yes, please read the Boot Camp FAQ for additional information. You will need to buy a license of Windows 7 and once your get the iMac run an App called Boot Camp Assistant and follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows. Once you have you completed you will have both OS X and Windows 7 installed. BTW there is a Boot Camp forum if you have more detailed questions, that is where the Boot Camp and Windows guys hang out.
Note: Whenever you load MS Windows on your Mac it then becomes a native Windows machine when running Windows. This means like any Windows box it is susceptible to ALL the other issues Windows users have to put up with including viruses and other malware. What do you mean? Your only way to unlock that phone is to have had 40 days continuous service with T-Mobile and then process the unlock through them. If you had an account with T-Mobile you should be able to login and process your unlock. If you did not you can click on the chat program but they are going to tell you the same thing.

Thanks. I'm working with different hosts and I guess thats where the confusion for me is coming in. In bluehost, I simply submit my form through form action to http://www.bluehost/bluemail. With the php form construction it 's form action is contact.php. Does this mean that the server I'm working with will uinderstand how to process contact.php and where to send it based on paramaters previously submitted? Or do I instruct the server via the php form? Thanks again

The reason why this is done in php is because php is server-side scripting. It's telling your server to do stuff. HTML doesn't tell your server anything, it tells the client (the web browser loading it) to do things. Only your server can send an email.

Backup and restore your software via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

I looked around and there seem to be some solutions to play mp3 (javazoom, quicktime). What do you recommend? What are some disadvantages? Is there a good tutorial to a good class that enables playing mp3 somewhere (I didnt find one) ?

MP3 codecs have been (temporarily?) removed from the JMF because of the recent dust-up over MP3 patent "enforcement" hints from the patent holders. The only JMF implementation that is not so encumbered is the version for Windows, which actually uses the *ahem* "native" Windows codecs for decoding.
For Sun this makes a somewhat reasonable approach as the patent holders (can't remember who "they" are, but I believe it's a German university spin-off - don't take my word for it, though) can, at their discrection, charge royalty fees on a very ad hoc basis.
Micro$oft, of course, is the proverbial 800-pound gorilla and one could possibly expect them to get more preferential treatment than a "relative" financial light-weight like Sun.
Personally, for playing MP3s, though, I use XMMS. ;D

Hello, I am new to all this and I would like to program a game on a Nokia 7650, I have downloaded a few games and transfered them via infrared to my phone (JAD and JAR files)which are pretty cool. All I know they are either written in Java or C++.I understand C++, is faster but more difficult to program so I would like to begin using Java. Please advise me what Java Application I need on my PC to write a Game for the Nokia 7650, there are so many Applications on the Java Site, I have no idea which one to download.I am not interested writting a game on the pc only the mobile.
