What can i do if everytime i delete my shortcuts and go back to my keyboard and start typing my shortcut that i "deleted" pops up again
I'm very upset with this because whenever I type good, it types "Gucci" or when I say hi it types "yo" is there anyway I can make these go away?
Log into the app store using the Apple ID you used to set your computer up. Look under purchases. If it is not there you may need to accept it or to unhide it

You need to be running Lion (10.7.x) to have iCloud run. Here are the system requirements for Lion:

2GB of memory (4GB strongly recommended)
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space

If your current iMac has 4GB of RAM then you can upgrade to Lion via the Mac App store and then use iCloud. However iCloud is not a backup system so please read up on what iCloud is designed for. To backup your system really all you need is an external HD and you can use Time Machine which is built into your system. Here is the Time Machine Tutorial to learn how to start. -
Hi. I have recently finished with an emplyer and have backed up my phone and when i go to restore the back up to another phone it is asking me to turn off the "find my iphone" before the restore can start. Pronlem is im no longer in possesion of this phone and can not turn it off.
Any assistance would be greatIt's not referring to your old phone, it's referreing to the one you're trying to restore to. Where did you get the phone you're trying to restore the backup to?

Recently I bought three seasons of a TV show, but when I was going to download the second one I noticed that I could have it with 1080p, so I changed my settings so all other downloads would be in 1080p. The second and the third season where downloaded that way, but since I didn't noticed this when I was downloading the first season; it was downloaded in 720p. I thought that if I erased the first season I could download it again but in 1080p, so I deleted the whole season from my iTunes library, but also from iCloud when it asked if I wanted so.
Until that moment I thought I was doing it the right way, but when I went to iTunes Store to download it, there was no option to do so, even though that in the season icon it said that it was purchased. After that I went to my purchased list and it wasn't there.
Fortunetely, I always make a backup for my Mac in an external drive, so what I did was copying the file of the season that was in my backup into the "Add Automatically to iTunes" folder. The season is back in my iTunes library, but not in my purchased list.
The problem is that I can't download it to my iPod from iCloud. I could sync my iPod from iTunes, but most of the time I don't have my Mac with me. I would like to have the season back as if it was purchased normally, and I would like to know if there's a way that I could have it in 1080p.
If anyone could help me to do so, or tell what I did wrong; I will be very grateful.This may help

As far as the TV series being in 1080p then that is upto the content provider and some older seasons are in 720p or only SD eg Stargate
It may well be that the season you want is only available in 720p -
I'm really upset with my iphone. I have it for four months and the wifi and 3G connections are really poor. The wifi is disconected all time near to the router and the 3G connection it's really poor. I was waiting 6.1.4 to see if the problem would be fix it but is the same. What can I do?
Try these steps. Check to see if your router has a firmware update. Go to the manufacturers website and check. If so, install. If not, reset the router. Disconnect from power for 30 seconds, plug it back in. Wait for it to boot up and then check your wifi.
Do a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, check wifi.
If none of this helps, then make an appointment at the Apple store to have the hardware checked. If it is found to have a hardware defect, they will more than likely replace the device. Remember the final call is Apple's. -

I need an advice from you experts regarding the different formats to be used to format my New 4 Tb ministack from OWC. I have a Mid 2010 Intel macbook pro with 500gb hard disk using Mountain lion and two external hard disk from Samsung and Iomega 1Tb each. I want to format this ministack into 4 partitions each of 1Tb each.
1) 1 Tb for time machine to back up my macbook pro.
2) 1 Tb of Free space to be used to store extra data using both windows and mac os.
3) 1 Tb for Samsung back up
4) 1 Tb for my Iomega back up
I know that for 1st option i need to format the partition (volume) to Mac os extended (journalled). I need help for others.For the 1 Tb free space, can i use NTFS so that i can use it on my wifes windows laptop and use a third a party application like tuxera NTFS for use on my macbook which i am already using to use my samsung and Iomega Ext HDD.
Also What format is required for these two 1 Tb volumes dedicated for external hard disk backups and how can i back up my external hard disks to these formatted volumes. Do i need to format them to Mac os extended (journalled) as well as i shall be using macbook pro to back up these hard disks.
Which would be the best software to back up these Ext hdd,can i use time machine? or CCC ?

Thanks in advance.Get Disk Warrior that will repair the problems without requiring that you reformat the drive - $99.00 on a bootable CD. Will not work on a FAT formatted drive.
You will need to use Drag and Drop to save your files by copying them from the bad drive to a good one.
To reprep the drive:
Drive Preparation
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size. -
What can i do when i get a get a file with question mark on it during start up?
i was working on my computer when i froze up i had the spinning wheel would not do anything so i turned it off and back on. when it cam back on it was just a grey screen with a flashing file with a question mark on it. What does this mean? is my computer done?
The advice Carolyn points out is sound, and hopefully it will work, but Apple needs to add some caveats to some of their "pointers" to resolving problems. If the system was working, you shut it off, then turned it on some time later and the problems emerged, the odds of it being a PRAM problem are good. For it to crash on you outright implies either an indexing problem or a problem with the hard drive or cables. In step 11, Apple should have added the phrase to zero the drive with Disk Utility prior to re-installing the operating system in the event a bad sector has developed on the drive because that would re-map the bad sectors to good, spare sectors. If it's yet another SATA cable problem, all bets are off. You'll continue to get what appears to be file corruption and problems, and it won't be consistent. If the problem is due to an actual surface failure on the drive then even though it might be fixable, you might want to consider replacing the drive.
The only product on the market that can test for bad cables and bad sectors is Scannerz, and you might not even be able to use that if you can't even boot your system. When they added Phoenix to the Scannerz package I originally thought it was just to make TechTool Pro look bad, but now it makes perfect sense - you could boot off of a so called Phoenix volume and test the system and boot it independently of the internal hard drive and the internal cables, allowing you to isolate the problem.
I would follow the advice in Carolyn's linked article up to step 11. If you get to that point, prior to re-installing the OS, use the Security Options settings in Disk Utility and zero the drive to correct (re-map) bad sectors. With luck this will be a relatively simple fix. With bad luck it will be the cable, which will cause problems down the line that will get worse and worse. -

If you are both signed into the same iCloud account, don't delete anything or it will be deleted from her device too. If you are not signed into the same iCloud account you can delete the data you don't want and it will not effect your mom's phone.
You can check if you are both signed into the same account by going to Settings>iCloud and looking at the Account ID on your phone and hers. If it matches, you're signed into the same account and will need to migrate to your own separate account before deleting anything. -
This has been happening when I'm on Facebook and playing games. It just freezes up and not even the cursor moves. I have to hit Ctrl Alt Del in order to disconnect and reload. Every time it happens I have sent report , but nothing seems to help. Yesterday I went and I cleared out all my cookies to see if it would help; but today it's impossible.
