i had this ipod for like 1/2 a year and i need a cable to charge it, im a musician and i need it to listen and play. plz help i need this =>

So you are trying to connect your iPod Shuffle to another computer you don't normally sync it with is that correct? And it won't charge for some reason? How are you connecting it? To a USB or a USB port located directly on the PC?

Here is the answer: go to http://support.apple.com In the search box at the top left type in the number 304996 and hit enter. This will bring you to a page with 4 solutions. Click on solution number 1 and follow the instructions. This should fix it.

My computer died and i am buying a new one (mac is out of budget)
When I get my new computer, obviously I will download Itunes. My Ipod still has all the music on it and the external hard drive is ok.
I don't want to "erase" or lose any information when I sync with a new itunes that is "empty"
What are the steps? After I download Itunes and set the folder location to my external harddrive what is next? Will Itunes recognize my IPOD? Will it load the music/list from my ipd or external into itunes?

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

ok, i think i posted all my question in the title LOL, I had sync my ipod to my computer over 2yrs ago, my computer crashe and now i have a new one. It will not let my sync my ipod with out reseting my ipod which will delet everthing on it. The problem is all the songs i bought on itunes is backed up on icloud, but i have alot that is from cds that i know longer have and if i did a reset i would lose all that. What did you do with the SIM from the iPhone 4? You need to "activate" the phone, but it does not need to be a SIM that is connected to service. It is just what happens when you update the phone. In this case, activation does not mean to activate it on a cellular carrier, but just to activate the phone so it works. my ipod shuffle will not charge fully, the light that comes on when i try to charge just flashes red, and the battery lasts for about 20 mins max and then advises battery is low and then dies!

That's often an indication that the dock connector at the bottom of the phone is either dirty or damaged. Blow compressed air on it and/of gently brush it with a clean, dry toothbtush. Also be sure the usb cable is able to make a good connection to the connector without being obstructed by your case. If it's a tight fit, try removing your case.

My entire bookmark bar is GONE and I cant even add new ones, this happened after I updated Firefox. Can I unupdate? Or is there a way to get the bookmarking function back?

I just updated to 3.6 and I cant go back a page either. It's like it cant remember ANYTHING! I really need help! I have a mac o sx. The space where the bookmarks used to be is still there but it's blank.

For instance, my daughter's IPod from when she was young doesn't work and neither does her IPod Nano. She can't get any of her music. My Shuffle doesn't work. I am embarrassed that I feel like having Apple products is too complicated for me. I can barely get through all the levels of logging in, let alone how to make the devices work again. I have given up on this so many times and now it is years later and I am trying again. How can I get some meaningful customer service to use the products and music I bought and paid for?

I think in previous incarnations, people would have jumped all over you for your approach, but the Lion operating has generated decidely mixed or even negative reviews from users. So no one seems to disagree with you. I think many folks are simply staying with 10.6 and waiting to see if OS 10.8 is better than 10.7. I've mostly avoided upgrading OS's, or when I do I jump over one version completely because I've waited long enough that I'm two versions behind.
Here are the things that will/would motivate me to update the OS:
* incompatibility with MS-Office (I'm not a MS-Office fan but I do need to use it)
* incompatibility with flash or other tools needed to view modern web content (this might be a while as I am still using several different Macs, the oldest being a 2005 PPC iMac with 10.5.8 and an fairly old/outdated flash, but it seems to still do ok with most web content). Our 2008 Intel Core 2 Duo iMac runs 10.6.8 and can do just about anything we need -- like you, I decided not to go to Lion because it didn't look like much of an improvement.
* incompatibility with various commercial software, such as TurboTax, or with web sites I use to manage financial accounts and such things
We got my daughter a new Macbook Air just before she started college, and Lion plus a new Macbook Air model came out a month later. I am glad now about it actually, I think some of the Lion "issues" would have annoyed her greatly (especially the odd dropping of wireless access points under Lion, everyone is on wireless at colleges now). I'm hoping that the 10.8 OS will be better than Lion. We had (probably still have) a certificate for a free Lion upgrade but we decided not to use it.

Master reset...? Your device was jailbroken prior to you purchasing the device. The only symbol you should see on reboot is an Apple symbol. Download redsnow... google it! Download the latest version and your IPSW (ipod restore firmware) it has to be the correct version. And the "just boot tethered" should fix your device.
But that's only if you didnt back the device up. If you don't care about any of the data on the ipod then you can simply open itunes navigate to the device and click the restore button. This will restore the ipod firmware and install a fresh copy. Good luck let me know if you have any problems.
