You also are not showing any cellular service. Have you contacted your provider regarding that? Regarding your WiFi, do you have wifi turned on in settings? Did you get your phone to show up in iTunes on your computer? I think we are dealing with several issues since you said that you have a message on your phone to connect to iTunes and you don't have cellular service.

My ipod nano 3rd generation, when connected by usb, does not show up in itunes, does not show up on my computer, does not seem to charge by the wall charger. It just has a black screen. Any ideas for me?
I've run diagnostics. Can't find device. I've tried resetting. The toggle has been turned on and off.Cable works fine on my other iPod. Reset by pressing menu and center button together for 6-10 seconds. Left it to charge for many hours. Started acting up while running. Suddenly the music stopped playing but my Nike + was still working for the rest of my run. Took it straight it home and plugged it in to the wall to recharge since the battery was fairly low. Looked like it recharged ok but then screen went blank and now does it not show up on iTunes, does not seem to recharge by the wall charger (apple wall charger plugged into a surge protector in India). I have turned the hold switch off and on many times.
Sounds like a repair issue, which is not easy to do in India :( -

First see if placing the iPod in Recovery Mode will allow a restore.
Next try DFU mode and restore.

I have downloaded the iOS8 and while it was upgrading the phone, the iTunes crashed and the iPhone is showing the ' connect to iTunes' symbol. But as soon as i plugged the device on my mac the iTunes crashes. Relaunching the iTunes again ended up in crashing the same . i can launch iTunes with out the iPhone connected, but again, when i connect the phone it crashes. and the phone keep showing " connect to iTunes icon".. Bad problem

Well my sister lives in US and she just handed me her old iphone 3gs. The phone was locked to AT&T .While trying to acees it an error message is popping up that Iphone is disable,Please connect to itunes.Well i downloaded a new version of itunes and while connecting it in recovery mode and tryuing to update it it is giving an error.i asked my sister to unlock the phone so i could use it on any network .she has applied for it and will get the code in one week. Restore the device as new with an AT&T SIM card or wait until it is unlocked and restore as new with another carriers SIM.

My new iphone 5 can not connect to itunes, it comes up as a usb storage device when I plug it in, also in the phone under settings/usage it shows internal memory of 2gb and SD card of 64gb, I cannot get it to connect to itunes at all so cannot sync etc, is this a genuine Iphone or a copy. I have owned 4 iphones and never had a problem with connecting to iphones and restoreing to a backup.
