What can I download to substitute the flash player?, What can I download to substitute the flash player?
I'm unable to join a webinar due to flash player unavailability
Please help.
Mind sharing what "new" technology outperforms Flash?
Since you refer to it as "old technology that has always been very buggy and power consumer of batteries."
I know HTML5 is not it...

If you have tests that show otherwise I'd love to see them... and not just blog posts of peoples opinions, I'm talking about actuall tests with results.

I bought a used macbook air, it didn't come with the flash drive to do a factory reset. Can I download the info needed and save it to my own flash drive and then do a factory reset? If not what can I do?
If it originally shipped with Mac OS X 10.6.8 or earlier, click here, phone Apple, and order a replacement.
If it originally shipped with Mac OS X 10.7 or newer, restart it with the Option, Command, and R keys held down.

I get the message "Install Adobe Flash" can't be opened because it was not downloaded from the Mac App Store. This is the first time I have gotten the message. What do I need to do?
Hi Sandra,
you'll need to edit the security settings to install programs 'Mac App Store and identified developers'
Open the Systems Preference and go to Security & Privacy. There will be a section in the 'General' tab for 'Allow apps downloaded from:" The default selection is 'Mac App Store'. Change this setting to 'Mac App Store and identified developers".
This screenshot is taken on OS X 10.10 (Yosemite), so it may look slightly different if you're on a different OS X version.

i have a vista 64 bit machine. What is the latest version of Adobe Flash that I can down loan? Alternatively, when will flash be available for vista 64 bit machines? HELP?
The latest version is 11.4.402.265; the installer will automatically install both 32-bit and 64-bit players on Vista x64 and Windows 7 x64 machines.

It`s all said in the headline. Hoping for an answer.
Thank YouYou can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3.183.23 or later, is for Intel Macs only running Tiger or Leopard, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.4.402.265 or later is for Snow Leopard onwards.
* Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC (G4 or G5) Macs, you need to go here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, try the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the version 11.5.502.55:)
Download this http://scriptogr.am/nordkril/post/adobe-flash-11.5-for-powerpc to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work. -
I've followed the instructions on the flash website, but i can't even get the flash file to download. the file that i get is supposed to be asociated with FF, that's why im contacting you guys. is there other way i can manually allow adobe to install flash without using their website directly?
I had that problem myself and was forced to download the installer for "other browsers" using Internet Explorer at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ . After I did that it installed correctly. You can also try downloading the FULL installers for flash at http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html . Just make sure that all browser windows are closed before you run either of these.

That is my question. The Adobe Flash Player does not download and give me a screen to finish the download. Any online articles, forms, etc that I want to view-my screen goes black. Is it the Plug-ins are missing? What are plug-ins. Be nice.
Once it's installed, be aware that it's not a standalone player - it's a browser plugin which installs in Macintosh HD > Library > Internet Plug-ins and is accessible to all browsers.
And you are downloading directly from Adobe aren't you? Never trust pop-ups on websites that say you need a plug-in. -
Using my current ID and password I can sign in to Adobe. When I try to download the upgrade to Flash Player they ask for my ID and Password. When I insert my current ID and password it is rejected. How do I correct this problem? Is it an incorrect sign in from an old ID, and/or an old password associated with Flash Player?
The password prompt is supplied by the operating system, and is intended to protect you from accidentally installing software. You will get this prompt for any installation outside the App Store context.
If you do not need to enter a username or password when starting your computer, you can probably just leave the password field blank when acknowledging this prompt. -
When I downloaded IOs8.1, it was going well, until it tried to turn back on. My screen went from flashing white with the apple sign to black to a full red screen. It keeps repeating itself and will not turn back on. However, i am able to turn it off, but when i turn it back on it just does the apple sign, black, and red screens again. How can i turn my phone on to work again? Or make the red screen go away.
I had this issue on my iPhone 6. I had to get a new one. There was a hardware error.

Trying to open adobe flash player so my daughter can play educational games. Think it's downloaded ok, but it won't open due to 'conflicting instances'. I don't even know what that means!
This is the full procedure for installing Adobe Flash for Firefox.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here: <br />
[http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version]. <br />
Save it to your Desktop.<br />
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit <br />
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed, <br />
{XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}
3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
* On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen). <br />
See this: <br />

i cant figure out how to download the application any other way. everytime i click on it in the downloads box it says application not found.
Well, after hours of trying to figure it out I gave up and un-installed and re-installed that last verion of Adobe Flash Player and now it seems I can play games again in Messenger. Everything else had been fine just that. I can only figure it was because it was having a hard time updating the first time and took me 3 tries. So even though it said it was installed, apparently it wasn't done correctly.
Though when I couldn't figure out what was wrong at first I looked and checked to see all the things were enabled that were supposed to be and they were.
I even tried to go to the Adobe site and download the last version I had and couldn't find it. Kept coming up with the new version. Others said if you download a particular older version it may not have all the security features in it.
This really gets to be a bit much, especially when you're by yourself and have only a smattering of knowledge of technical things.
Thanks fore responding to my question.

It could be a coincidence but when I upgraded to the latest version of Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.262 I can't seem to play any games on Yahoo Messenger with my friends. I know when I updated for some reason I had to try 3 times before it took it. It shows it's updated. I'm wondering if I have to un-install and re-install it. Also, I never use Internet Explorer 8 but when I went in there to check I found a plug in check link there and it showed over there that Adobe Flash Player needed updating but it was an older version and not the one Foxfire had me update too. Now I'm really confused if this is causing a problem. I have never had to check Internet Explorer for plug ins before. Have always just updated in Foxfire since that's what I use. The Adobe Flash Player seems to play videos okay so not really sure if that's the issue or not. My Java plug-ins have been fine and have been updated awhile ago, so I know it's not that. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
