What can OEM 12 c Cloud Control monitor by default

This might be a little irritating question. A client of mine is asking what are the default components that OEM 12 c monitors for example (OEM 12 c discovers all database components (tablespaces,memory,listens,size , everything by default). The questions on other things that can be monitored by OEM e.g Weblogic/SQL Server, what are the default components that are discovered by OEM 12 c. They client will be monitoring all their datacenter with OEM 12 c. They have multiple technologies.

This is kind of a loaded question. By default, only Agent and Host are discovered. So basic host monitoring is there. You have to deploy plugins for the actual components to be monitored (Oracle DB, SQL Server, WLS, etc). The list of available plugins can be viewed here. http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=34841:9
Some of these require additional licenses, and some are 3rd party products not managed by Oracle.

Hi,
Glen is referring to Service management, a built in feature of Enterprise Manager. You'll find it under main targets drop down -- Services.
It is a way of pulling several systems together, add synthetic service test to the service and track metrics. System metrics can be promoted and all synthetic test metrics can be used to define Service level agreements, get alerts and create incidents against your defined service.

WHAT CAN I DO TO REGAIN CONTROL OF MY I5?? PLS HELP MY X TOOK CONTROL OF MY ROOT MENU

Someone hacked my iPhone 4 & 5 jail broke them & now I can't get any help to resolve this. My x is EXTREMELY TECH SAVVY & he is controlling everything through safari developer (I think) I've paid $600 in IT techs to try n help me all they did was clear out all spy/ad-ware & gave my laptops back. I've called apple several times they REFUSE TO HELP ME!! I'm not sure if its my x or not & can't prove it anyway. But I can't imagine a hacker intercepting my calls, deleting my texts, changing my passwords, turning my phone all the time, etc. I have not been able to access my google, iTunes, safari, yahoo accts since February. I've made all new accts, changed passwords & bang no access to those AGAIN!! I have 10,963 pics in my camera roll that i cant gain access to & my photostream & albums have been deleted. thats only a few goofy thjngs going on. This has been a nightmare. The last time I called apple to review diagnostics in hopes they could find SOMETHING-ANYTHING THAT MIGHT THROW UP A RED FLAG they weren't able to see any of my diagnostics they said. I had at least 10 pages of crashes, logs, etc & this apple csr couldn't help me because she said there's none?? How is that possible? I remember months back seeing something in the diagnostics that said report to apple, blah blah blah FALSE! So I'm assuming that evn though I have my settings to report to apple that he has somehow made it look like diagnostics are on but there really not. Not being tech savvy myself I don't know how to go about fixing this. Being a single mom, going thru a very ugly 2-yr divorce & having a sick mother I don't have the money to keep buying new iPhones. Please please someone help me. Guide me in the right direction & tell me what (if anything) I can do. I was told by a friend that if "he" or they whomever this is wants to they can get into my device anytime they want if there good enough & there's nothing I can do to stop it :'(( this is so unfair that not even apple will protect my privacy & exchange my device. I'm sick over this whole thing. 3 laptops, 2 iPhone 4's, an iphone 5, a nano & an iPad mini are being controlled by this person. There are so many goofy, weird things happening w/my iPhones I couldn't begin to even list them. I've filed a police report w/the local authorities & NOTHING & because I can't prove it may be my x I can't press a harassment charge against him. I'm afraid if I purchase a new iPhone he will hack that one too & ill never be free of this nightmare. Today's my bday & my family couldn't even get thru to me to wish me a happy birthday :'((

In trying to include what information all that I could I should have specified I DON'T KNOW THAT IT WAS DEFINATELY JAILBROKEN when I took it to the apple store they told me there's no way for them to tell if it was jail broken or not. I'm only going by what ppl have told me COULD HAVE BEEN DONE TO THE PHONE. With that said the only thing I know for sure is that the apple tech at the Genius Bar told me that someone took control of my root menu in February & I've had no control of my phone since. I asked him how to regain control & how he knew his exact words were "oh that is out of our scope of capabilities here at this level & you would need an apple engineer to fix it". I said ok then how do I get an apple eng then? He laughed & said you can't!!!! To which I was furious I came home & called apple requesting to speak w/the fraud dept to file a report they said we don't have a fraud dept!! So after a 45 mn phone call again I left w/no answers.

I DON'T HAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO SPEND HIRING AN ATTORNEY & Although I appreciate your suggestion I fail to how an attorney would be able to facilitate in any way since there's no suspect. I cannot prove that it's him doing it so I certainly can't pursue legal action w/no proof & no money. :'((

I was looking more for a TECHNICAL way to avoid this happening w/a new phone should I buy one or trying to get them out of my phone now! Such as installing some kind of software protection?? Please perform a Factory Default Reset exactly as follows:
Pull the power plug from the back of the AirPort Extreme (AEBS)
Wait a minute
Hold in the reset button first and continue to hold it in for at least 7-8 more seconds while you simultaneously plug the power back in to the AEBS
Release the reset button after the 7-8 second hold period
Allow 30-45 seconds for the AEBS to restart
Temporarily, connect a spare Ethernet cable from your Mac to one of the LAN <-> ports on the AEBS
Open AirPort Utility to see if can now see the AEBS

Exception Management in OEM 12c Cloud Control

Hi All,
It is mentioned in the Oracle Documents that Exception Management is a part of Business Transaction Management feature which can ne achieved by enabling SOA management pack EE on the target which in turn provides transaction alerting and searching to locate exceptions and errors in transactions that span multiple application components.
But then can any one please tell me how can I achieve this? That means what all configuration (other than soa management packEE) is required for this exception management and how can I do this OEM . I am not able to find a good document which explain the exception management in OEM 12c cloud control.

Business transaction Management 12c (BTM)is licensed with SOA Manangement pack Enterprise Edition along with WLS Mgmt Pack and management pack for non-oracle middleware. So, if you have SOA Mgmt Pack EE, then you are already licensed for BTM 12c.
You need to download BTM12c (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/oem/downloads/btw-downloads-207704.html) and then you need to install it (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/install.121/e37016/toc.htm) . Once the installation is complete, you will need to send traffic through your managed targets, where you would have already deployed the BTM observers (Ref. installation guide). Once traffic will be sent, your services will get discovered and then you will need to create transactions (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e37014/transactions.htm#sthref186) that you may wanna monitor. As part of the transaction creation, you can enable logging on the transaction and once that's done, you will be able to search and manage exceptions by monitoring your transactions.

Facing error while creating report in OEM 12c Cloud Control

Hi All,
I want to create a report in OEM 12c Cloud Control in Information Publisher. I have select element as "Table from SQL" and want to select data from "gc$metric_values_latest" view. But when I am writing a sql statement like..
select * from gc$metric_values_latest
Then on execution I am getting the following error "Error rendering element. Exception: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist "
What can be the issue for this. Please suggest..

Is this mean that we can not fetch data from gc$metric_values_latest view or we need to do some configuration in order to fetch information from this view. Because I am able to fetch from views like mgmt$metric_current or mgmt$metric_history

How to view Dehydration Store Performance in OEM 12c Cloud Control

Hi All,
I have installed OEM 12c Cloud Control.I want to view dehydration store performance for my fusion middleware domain.Can anyone please suggest me how can I achieve this?
I have added the database, where soa schemas are created, as a monitored target in OEM 12c Cloud Control. Also have added Fusion middleware domain for which I want to view dehydration store management.

Otherwise, it should be possible to get it to work. The main thing is that you need to have DB configuration properties (host, port, sid) that have a 3-way string match between the JDBC data source configuration in the WLS server, the JDBC properties you add to the Monitoring Properties of the SOA Infrastructure target, and the connect settings of the Database target in EM that matches to the dehydration DB.
If there isn't a match in all 3, the Dehydration Diagnostics page will not work. But again, to look into your specific setup, you should file an SR and work with support.

Can Cloud Control 12c connect to the existing 12c agent? Can't find any information about the subject. Everywhere explained how I can deploy agent from OEM...

How to add a weblogic cluster in OEM 12c Cloud Control

Hi All,
I have created one SOA domain with a two node cluster. My cluster contains two servers; one on each machine. Now I want to monitor my domain with OEM 12c cloud control. I my OEM 12c cloud control I can add my weblogic domain but if that domain contains a cluster and in the cluster one server must be residing on the some other machine. Then how exacly in OEM 12c I can a add a target which is of type weblogic domain and contains a weblogic clusters with two servers?
Please advise on this..!!

EM12c can take care of multiple hosts during discovery and you don't have to do anything special, however, for SOA its advisable to have local agents monitor their individual hosts; hence, you should first discover both your hosts in EM first by pushing agents to each of the hosts using Setup>Add Targets>Add Targets Manually and then discover the SOA domain. You local agents will be picked up automatically that will eventually monitor your 2 nodes/servers.

OEM 12c Cloud Control/WebLogic - Running slow

Recently installed Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control on AIX 64 Bit Server. It is running considerably slower than existing 10g Grid Control version.
We setup on a server with 4 GB and plenty of diskspace - I believe the 10g server only had 1 GB free. Has Oracle gone the way of Bloatware as MS/Symantec, and others? If so, what are the new unofficial (there are recommended minimums vs. functional minimums) specs to run OEM on a server?

Before you started installing you did of course did read the documentation? Maybe you missed the part of the hardware requirements in the Basic Installation Guide. The OMS server should have at least 6 GB memory and 2 cpu's and for the Repository database the same.
But this depends on the number of agent, targets and concurrent users. You can check this in the mentioned guide in the chapter "Meeting Hardware Requirements".
If the adviced redo log size is 300 MB and I would not know you would stick to the default redo log size. It is a small effort to create a number of redo logs with the proper size and drop the small ones.
You run de repository on a production server, meaning you can have a lack of resources. It is adviced to have the OMS and OMR on the same or on separate dedicated servers.

What type of license is required to integrate BIP with OEM12c Cloud Control? OEM12c CC v 12.1.3 is already installed and in use however, will an additional license be required for this implementation?
