There is a person who approaches to the BI like this:
select campo1, campo2, 'EMPTY' as campo3
case when .... end as campo4 from tabla1 left outer tabla2 where campo1 in (select ..... union all select campo1, campo2, campo3, 'EMPTY' as campo4 from tabla2 ...
the view ends up being several pages , lots of fields and joins.
For this person , ETL , data cleaning is to use empty
values ( ' empty ') or dummy to complete and you fit the binding ...
Sure, it's faster, but is really crazy , because this
is not ETL or anything , no DW, a huge view after it is created as fact table and dimension.
The information is collected from the data source (ERP ) in warm (no DW)
, not treated well and when there is a fault its a hell to find it.
To avoid "losing records " uses left outer join!
If you use an inner join to prevent losing data she does outer join. Better not speak about performance.
At the end it looks like more a report than BI.

However, if I had to guess, there are reasons behind this approach. Is this cube reloaded throughout the day? Is this a prototype/proof of concept where the developer is trying to show what is possible and demonstrate value before embarking on
a longer development process? When you encounter wacky code, as we all do, it is important to consider the reasons behind it.

after upgrading to OS5 my i phone is not showing names of incoming callers in my contact directory, i can only see number of incoming caller. Is there any settings to put this right? what can you do?
This started happening to me on my iPhone 4. Some text messages show only the numer they came from and those same numbers do not show the contact name in my calls list, even though the contacts are saved and synced via iCloud. I have tried to save different versions of the number in the same contact, but it won't work. If I call one of the recent numbers though, the conact comes up. I have tried reseting and restoring to no avail.

Everytime I try to start FaceTime it says: "There has occured a problem with FaceTime. You have to stop FaceTime and start it again" What can I do about this?
Same problem as well as the network failure. Apple Care was suggesting a full reinstall and I declined. I thought it worked once but I can't be sure ... it might have been Skype which works perfectly.

My ipad mini is not connecting to the wifi network. I have the correct network and password chosen, but the message I get is that "unable to join". I have reset my ipad and it still says the same thing. What can I do about this?

what can i do for this proplemThe iphone where the sim didn't work is probably locked to a carrier. You need to contact the carrier of that phone. If it's unlocked, then I'm not sure what the problem is, given that the sim works in another phone.

im trying to connect to apps store and to download apps but i cannt. the massege that say me is your payment method was declined. what can i do about this?
Try removing said card then re-enter all card details, if still no joy then try a different card to see if it is the card or a problem with your iTunes account, one other thing that you could try is changing your iTunes password as this sometimes cure thing as well.
Also have a look at your purchase history to see if you have any items that are still waiting for payment as this can sometimes screw up your payment method, if this is the case then I would defiantly try a different card.
If none of the above work then I would contact iTunes support. -
I have mac osx 10.6.8 and I keep getting update notices that do nothing, just search for update server. Happens every day. What can you or I do to fix this? Other people I work with and use macs have the same issue.
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

what are the main differences between sql and pl/sql...why v are using pl/sql rather then sql...can you please answer this question?SQL is used to access the database. PL/SQL is a programming language where SQL is seamlessly integrated. In order to access the database in PL/SQL, you have to use SQL.
Think of it as two pieces of software, two "engines". If you want to interact with the database, then performance wise it's best to use only one engine (SQL only), instead of two (PL/SQL and SQL). If a PL/SQL program executes a SQL statement, it does a "context switch", i.e. saving its state in PL/SQL before giving control to the SQL engine and vice versa. This is quite fast, but do a lot of them and it is slow, so beware of programming SQL statements inside loops.
Another way to put it: SQL is a fourth generation language (4GL) where you tell what you want, not how. The software, the optimizer, will decide for you how to process the statement. PL/SQL is a third generation language (3GL), or at least the PL-part is, where you describe how things should be processed. Leading to more code and more control. With every Oracle release, SQL becomes more powerful and the optimizer gets better, so using SQL is increasingly important.
For complex processing, using PL/SQL is still necessary. But use it with care.

Do you mean Mail? or Safari? Both should be in the Applications folder on your hard disk.. Just drag it's icon back onto the Dock.
If you're talking about MSN Messenger, it should be wherever you installed it to.. If you have MS Office, try checking in the MS Office folder (probably under Applications). Or try using Spotlight to search for it. -

thank youYou have to boot to the Recovery HD, Command + r at startup, and from there use Terminal in the Utilities menu item and typ in Resetpassword. A dialog box will open where you can do that.

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.
