What video card do I need to make Photoshop CC 2014 to use 3D? I have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB graphics.

    A couple of questions:
    1.  Have you tried resetting your preferences?
    2.  If you go to Preferences > Performance - is "Use Graphics Processor" enabled?  If not, can you select it?
Your system should be fine to support 3D in PS CC 2014.  Once I have more information from you we can move onto next steps if necessary.

    Hi
I have visit the Toshiba accessories website and I have found a information that some unit has always the wireless card. Did you check in the device manager if there is a wireless card?
Unfortunately I dont have found a exactly part number of the wireless card which is compatible but if you want to order one so I would recommend to contact the Toshiba service partner. There you can order the miniPCI which is 100% compatible with your unit.

  • HP ENVY 700-074 Desktop - what graphics card do I need to install to use a blu ray player?

I purchased an external blu ray player - "LG 14x external blu-ray/dvd writer super multi blue be14".  For some reason I thought my system was compatible.  However, it's not - apparently the Intel(R) 4600 won't work.  What graphics card would I need to install to allow using this blu-ray device?  What else do I need to know?

Ah, I should add, the Blu ray player's support site (for Cyberlink) suggested a pile of different drivers - 30 or 40, but didn't offer any specifics regarding my particular system. What I really need to know is what would be the best option for my particular system.

  • What Capture Card For Analogue Footage?

I am trying to capture old footage from VCR tapes and Sony Hi-8. I have FCE 3.5.1 installed on MacBook Pro 2.4GHz. What kind of capture card would be required? Any advise?

You might want to do a search on this forum for the PYRO. I remember seeing it in a number of discussions about problems.
With a laptop, you are limited to an external analog/DV converter. The analog material is fed into it using S-VHS/RCA cables and the DV comes out via Firewire into the computer. (as you probably have figured out ...)
The Data-100 Ian mentions is one choice, the other is the ADVC line from Canopus. Personally, I've had good results with the ADVC-300. It includes a line TBC which helps with the chroma and timing issues old analog material will invariably have.
Oh, and get an external firewire drive to store the media. You do not what to be placing these large files on your system disk.
    Good luck.

My computer is not up to snuff to handle the 9000F scanner.  I am shopping for an HP or Dell unit.  What should I look for in the details to be able to select one that is adequate or better.  Sometimes a graphics card is indicated and I don't know which can do what though I know the one I have can't do it.  What about processors an i5 or i7 intel can do it  I think?. What hard drive capacity is required or recommended?  I am not a techie but would like to be able to purchase something that will get the job done.  I shall be scanning many slides, negs and photos. • What airport card do I need??

Have a 15" Titanium G4. Not sure what card I need or where to get it??
    Any help?
    Thanks,
    Tim

Hi, Tim. If you want an Apple card, you need the original Airport card (802.11b). An Airport Extreme card (802.11g, later 802.11n) won't fit the slot or connect to your computer's antenna.
A better choice, perhaps, unless you will absolutely need to use your Powerbook's CardBus slot while you're wirelessly online, is to buy a third-party CardBus wireless adapter. Any of the three cards listed below will work transparently with Apple's own Airport software — no additional drivers needed. They will all give you better wireless reception at longer range than an Apple Airport card would, because their antennas are in the part of the cards that project about 3/4" outside the Tibook's metal case. The projecting end of the card can be at risk of physical damage, especially if you leave the card in place during transit, but that's the only drawback of these cards other than the fact that you can't use the CardBus slot for anything else while you're online.

  • Planing to upgrade to Photoshop CS6 what graphics card do I need?

I have 2 gb on my current card from HP, will I need to up the quality of my current card to run CS6?

Saw some recommendation on an Adobe BLOG and wanted to see how my system stacked up so I added My Syatem  in to where it fit.  Cost me $2,500 from Dell Outlet but I had my Display, Printer, Wacom Tablet and camera gear from before.
My Nvidia Quadro 4000 display adapter is intended more for Video for applications like Adobe Premier Pro then Games. So I downloaded Cinebench to see how well it stacked up the their sample systems.

  • What video card do I need to upgrade to run FCS 2 on my G5?

Close to buying FCS 2 to use all applications, including Color on DVC PRO HD 1080i project. I know I must uprgrade my ram , monitor and some other specs, but is there a preferred graphics card out there that can get the job done for my Dual 1.8 G5?
    Gracias.
    -El_Matador

    Hi-
After reviewing the system requirements for FCS 2, you'll see that you want the most powerful card that you can get:
    http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/specs.html
As for what card, could you clarify the model of G5 DP 1.8 that you have?
    In the mean time:

The refurbished X800 XT would be a likely candidate.

  • What SCSI card do i need for new Mac Pro?

hello all, can anybody give me a straight answer on the cheapest SCSI card I can buy from UK, to fit in my Mac Pro. I have googled and searched the forums and am getting confused by talk of all the different types.
I have borrowed an old neg scanner, which is SCSI only. The guy gave me a SCSI card as well, but it came from a PC. I figured I would chuck it in the Mac and see if it recognized it. Cue epic fail, because it appears only to fit in "backwards". that is with the scsi port facing into the case.
No big deal I thought, I'll just buy one. I had no idea it would be so complicated.
Speed of connection is not an issue to me, I just want it to work!
    Please help, thanks in advance
    stu.

Hatter, thanks for the speedy reply. Can I only put in an expensive SCSI card? Why don't the cheapo 50 buck ones work? Sorry for being dense...
I hear your point about cheapo USB scanners, but the SCSI one i got was free! Just looking to archive my years of negs and want to keep the costs to a minimum. Will defo check out firewire adapters though. good call.

  • What video card do i need for final cut pro x?

I can't update because it says my video card isn't good enough. It's the standard card that came with the Mac Pro.  Can't find a list of approved video cards.
I don't want to spend a great deal and I hoping that some day, some year before I die, Apple will release a Mac Pro with Thunderbolt, if they ever get back to being a computer company again.

  • What acp card do I need to operate Final Cut Express?

I recently installed Final Cut Express and got a message that it cannot work without and ACP card. Which one and where can I buy it?

I should add that with the release of FInal Cut Pro X, both Final Cut Express & Final Cut Studio have been removed from the Apple store & authorized resellers.  So there's actually no upgrade to FCE 4 available any more unless you can find a copy that may still be in some store's inventory somewhere, or perhaps on eBay.  For example, B&H still seem to have it available, for $79.95 - but that could disappear any time.  (On the B&H website, search for "Final Cut Express" then scroll through the list to find the upgrade package.
