What caused this problem (see example photo)?
I have discoved one shoting session whereby almost 50% of the shots have this solid rectangle as part of the raw file. Out of thousands of sessions and photo's, this folder is the only one with this problem. These rectangles are all about the same size on each photo, but occur in different locations within the photo. I don't think this is one just a corrupt file, but perhaps a error I unknowly made when looking at them when i used to use PhotoShop. (now using LR)
Does anybody have any idea's on how one would somehow make this kind of mistake? j
PS - I have never done anything in Photoshop real complicated. Always just simple basic shapening or other small adjustments.
Hal/Andrew: Thanks for your replies. Actually this was only one example of another 9 or 10 with this same problem in this folder. The folder has about 10 good shots and 10 shots like this example. This folder contains shots that were taken last year and the original compact flash that they were from was reused many times with 100's of shots since then with none corrupt in any way. It was only this one folder that had this problem and only about half of these with this similar rectangle problem. Of the twenty of so shots in this folder, the problem was completely random with one or two shots good and then next shot or next 5 or six shots were like this example, then then next shot was good and so on.

You need to "authorize" the Mac.
Launch iTunes on the Mac then from the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click Store > Authorize This Computer.
Now, using the same Apple ID as you used to purchased iTunes media originally, you should be able to sync all your content.

Purchased Recovery DVD has failed. not sure whats causing this problem please help.
I replaced my old HDD with new one, and tried to use Recovery DVD i bought from hp support to install window 7 as it spose to be. But it keeps failing and asking me to retry (retried 6 times and failed every single time).

There is a problem with the display or the connection to the display. Take it to an Apple store genius bar for a definitive diagnosis. The diagnosis will be free, any repairs will not be free.

Under Maverick (10.9.2) with Safari (7.0.1) I notice that certain login pages of websites are not even presented anymore. As I cannot reach the source of those pages I also do not know which programming/websites they use for the login process. Anybody knows about these problems. As I use Little Snitch to prevent certain markting websites, geared to present information that I am not interested in, there might be a problem there, but I want to know more!

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you boot, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -

HELP!! Can anyone tell me what causes this problem?
I will paste a link below to a screen grab I took of my desktop. I've never seen this before. Could you please tell me what this could be? The best way I could describe it is to describe it as warping effect on various windows.
This has occurred when using photoshop, after effect, illustrator, the OS. Basically I've seen it occur on just about every type of browse window viewable on the Mac.
I reformatted the mac and it still occurs.
I am using a MacPro 2 x 3 GHz Quad Core with 16 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500. I have an internal 750 GB HD for the OS and 4x750 GB internal RAID for storage. (I do a lot of video work.)

Disk Utility stopped repairing the disk. I was instructed to backup as many of my files as possible.reformat the disk and restore my backed up files. Since I use time machine, can I assume that all my files and programs can be restored from my recent back ups?

Every other time I'm using Firefox, I get a warning pop-up window stating that something is trying to trick Firefox to update. I'm not sure if I have a virus or any other unwanted program that is trying to corrupt my computer. Please let me know what it could be. I have McAfee and it's actively running every time I use the internet, so I'm not sure whats causing this problem. Please help. Thank You.
It's a Web scam that only affects your browser, and only temporarily. There are several ways to recover.
1. Some of those scam pages can be dismissed very easily. Press the key combination command-W to close the tab or window. A huge box will pop up. Press the return key and both the box and the page will close. If that doesn't happen, continue.
2. Press and hold command-W. You may hear repeating alert sounds. While holding the keys, click the OK button in the popup. A different popup may appear, which you can cancel out of as usual.
3. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and uncheck the box marked Enable JavaScript. Leave the preferences dialog open.
Close the malicious window or tab.
Re-enable JavaScript and close the preferences dialog.
4. If the Preferences menu item is grayed out, quit Safari. Force quit if necessary. Relaunch it by holding down the shift key and clicking its icon in the Dock. None of the windows and tabs will reopen.
After closing the malicious page, from the menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
to get rid of any cookies or other data left by the server. Open your Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize. -
Inconsistency in structure u0093KOMPu0094 - what caused this?

We had a problem where all users experienced an ABAP Dump 'DDIC_TYPE_INCONSISTENCY' when running transaction codes such as FB50.
To solve the problem SAP sent the following instructions:
The problem is due to Inconsistency in the Dictionary for the structure
KOMP. If you go to TCode SE11 : KOMP > Display : Utilities > Runtime
Object > Check -> Active runtime object for KOMP is inconsistent.
To solve this error, please activate the structure KOMP manually by
going to tcode SE11 : enter KOMP > Display : Structure Activate
I have asked SAP what exactly caused this problem and they mentioned that a user had changed underlying structure of KOMP named KOMPAKE.
Tcode SE11 is locked in Production to prevent stuff like this from happening and the only tcode the users ran before we experienced the first dump is KE30.
SAP insists that KE30 could not have changed structure. And the only changes made in production were transports imported 5 days before we experienced this problem.
Would anyone have ideas on how I can determine what caused this problem?

KevinI looked at the version management for this structure KOMPAKE and the only entry I see is from the same user ID with a data/time stamp right before we experienced the first ABAP Dump, and the entry in the version managements starts like this:
Version(s) in the development database:
activ X 640
I also noticed the same structure KOMPAKE changed in our QA environment by a user that was testing KE30 a day after we had this problem in Production.
So maybe KOMPAKE was auto-generated by KE30 and somehow failed before it could complete, leaving it in an inactive state?
But if that is the case why were there no problems before, can a structure be auto-generated if its already active?
I also found this System log in SM21 where it shows the first ABAP Dump and the errors before it:

My latest pano photo have missing landscape. Some of the photos are merged into one. I can provide the examples. What could cause this problem on a new 5C?
Thanks for the input. I was finally able to find some test conditions that duplicated the problem, and it is either that or some other out-of-spec diffraction distortion. So I sent it off for repair.
