What causes Media not present error, even with disc inserted

I have a 2 hr video project that I would like to place on a DVD in NTSC format. I get an error msg "Media not present" even with DVD inserted in burner. I have checked "Fit content to available space". Is the 2 hr project too long to compress onto the DVD, or are there other possible causes? I did a 1 1/2 hr project with no problems. I have plenty of hard drive space.

What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system is it running?
The problem is the disc in the burner tray not being recognized by Premiere Elements. Another frequent related issue is Burner Location: in burn dialog being empty when the Premiere Elements does not recognize the burner.
In the problem that you have,
a. Have you tried other brands/types of DVD discs?
b. If you start a new project and take the new Timeline content to DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc, does the problem remain the same?
B. Have you tried program uninstall/free ccleaner run through/reinstall with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
If you are in a time crunch, you should consider burning the Timeline content to folder and then taking the VIDEO_TS Folder from that
saved folder into a program like ImgBurn for the DVD-VIDEO on DVD production.

"media not present" error when burning blu ray in PE12

I have two systems, both ground-up builds, identical Win 7 Home Premium and Premiere Elements 12 installs. Both systems have internal blu-ray burners. One burner is an ASUS BW-12B1AT and the other is a Pioneer burner (don't recall the model number).
System 1: Intel 4770k with Gigabyte MB
System 2: AMD 8-core with Gigabyte MB
System 1 gives "Media not present" error in PE12 when attempting to burn to blu ray discs using Verbatim discs. System is able to burn DVDs and CDs, and playback blu ray discs. System is also capable of burning blu rays using Nero.
System 2 works fine - blu ray media is recognized instantly by PE12 when in the drive and burns blu rays perfectly.
I swapped the blu ray drives and SATA cables from System 1 and System 2 with the same result - this eliminated the drive manufacturer and cables from being the problem, as both drives worked perfectly in System 2 and neither worked in System 1. I also tried different SATA ports and power supply taps on System 1 without any success.
Then, I noticed that on System 1, with the dialog box open and indicating the "media not present" error, if I ejected the blu ray disc and reinserted it, the burner LED would flash 18 times (approx. 1/sec) and then pulse briefly indicating a burst of activity for about 1 second, as if it was either reading the disc or writing to the SATA. If I pressed the "rescan" button during this brief burst of LED activity, then the disc was recognized and I could proceed to burn it. If I tried to press the rescan button at any time before this instant or after, the "media not present" error did not clear.
To me, this is an indication that something in the handshake timing of the SW and the burner is not correct, and that timing differences in the system HW are not provided for in the SW. I see that many others have had this issue and have had to buy work-around image burners to address this. I believe your burner drivers need to be reworked to eliminate this bug. This is evidenced by the fact that Nero works and your SW does not, and that different systems consistently exhibit this problem.
Please let me know when you will have a SW patch to address this or if you have any idea of system settings that can be adjusted (I don't know of any myself) that would eliminate this problem.

The likelihood of an Adobe engineer seeing your thread here is essentially slim to none.
Your results are very interesting but lots more variables to consider.
Do you have any version of Premiere Elements other than 12? It would be interesting to learn if a prior version's burn
dialog would present with the Media Not Preset issue for your burn to Blu-ray System 1. That is easy enough done with a tryout of

On the other side of the coin, you could give the new version a look in this regard. A new version is expected at the
end of September 2014.
As an aside, have you updated 12 to 12.1 Update, using an opened project's Help Menu/Update. If not, I would encourage
you to do so. It does correct an Expert workspace text styles issue plus other matters undefined by Adobe.

Playing around with cfschedule, getting a time limit error - even with requesttimeout

Hello, everyone.
This isn't critical, I'm just playing around with the cfschedule tag. But it's still annoying to get a time limit error, even with the requesttimeout attribute set to 10800.

I tried something else here. I noticed that on the last circuit you posted you had a resistor tied from ground to the clock line in addition to the one tied back to VCC. This would be R4 in the origianl schematic. I also noticed that in this circuit I saw no double tripping of the clock signal but it did have a sloping rising edge. I am assuming this is what you are refering to as being dirty. Not a clean square wave by any means.
I removed this extra resistor from the clock line and re-added the inverter and this seemed to clean up this slope. I do, not know what purpose you may have had for this resistor but I believe that to be causing the sloping edge. I was incorrect about the inverter. I just know that in the original configuration I didin't get the double clocking when it was removed, but I failed to notice the sloping of the edge of the signal. Now with this new information I hope this will get it the way you want it.
I will repost the circuit with my modifications. Let me know what you think. Just so you will know I am using asll default settings with the exception of the digital setting which is set to REAL.

I have also had the same problem with my Win 7 32 bit computer. I had great help from Apple techs in Montreal and Orlando for 2.5 hours. They helped me remove every trace of Apple products and clean the registry in two different ways. Each install gave the same problem! If Apple techs can't fix it (on some of our machines) then we are really in trouble. They promised to raise it with the "engineers" and get back to me with a solution. I am waiting and hoping. Otherwise maybe version 11.1.5 will have a fix ??

Mbp stuck at loading screen disk0s2: media not present

My MacBook has been acting wierd lately. I've had it since sept. It used to freeze when I would open safari and now it stays stuck on the apple screen when I try to boot it. I've done a hardware test and it says everythings ok. I've also done safe boot but after the bar is done it goes back to the apple logo where the wheel just keeps spinning. Sounds like something has gotten corrupted and your OS is simply not booting. Insert your system disk and boot from it by holding the c key while powering up. Run the Disk Utility from there and do both a permissions repair and a disk repair.
If you do not have your disk handy, hold command+s while booting. At the prompt, type...
fsck -yf
Allow this to run until it gives you a clean bill of health, then type...
exit

b. If you did a burn to folder (4.7 GB) for your DVD-VIDEO, does that go to a successful completion?

Your iphone is right, it is not supported. The iphone's bluetooth protocols do not include file transfer, but are intendes only for headsets, stereo headphones, cars, and keyboards.

Media Not Saved Error - Slide Duplication corruption suspected

I've recently upgraded to KN '06 and have run into a nasty. When saving changes to a 60 slide presentation I've started getting "failed to save" messages about picture and movie media associated with the slides. It finally occurred to me what was causing this.
If I duplicate a slide, KN'06 is either losing its connection to the media file on that slide or not actually creating a copy of the media that the duplicate slide expects to find in the package. (Would have researched but was up until 2am waiting for spotlight to come out of la-la land. I could be wrong but I don't think I have 31,845 files with the word "caterpillar" in the filename. I must be wrong because it finally listed them, my entire volume. Hey, it's good concept, just a few bugs is all.)
Need more testing to see if the same results come from "duplicate" and "copy/paste" - I used both techniques and perhaps one works where the other doesn't.

I have the same problem; every time I open a keynote presentation I have to re-insert .mov files, and every time I close the presentation they are gone (that is, the thumb is there but the movie is not, and despite checking "copy audio and movies into the document".

Baumer GigE Test Packet (0xBFF69031) & Camera not Present Error

I've tried various fixes from other posts and am still having problems setting up my Baumer TXG06 with LV running NI-IMAQdx 4.0.
The camera shows up ok in the Baumer SDK, but when attempting to grab an image in NI MAX I get "The System did not receive a test packet......." If I leave NI MAX open and try the same camera, I sometimes get "Camera Not Present...." error instead, even though it is still running ok on the network.
I've added an exception to windows firewall, enabled Jumbo packets, tried reducing the pcaket size and tried it without the Baumer software installed. Still no joy.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I've checked the Baumer website and there doesn't appear to be any firmware available to download.
Some additional info:-
Error still occurs after completely disabling the firewall on my PC.
I've run CameraValidator.exe /attributes as per the NI debug whitepaper and this seems to execute fine and generate a report on the camera's compatability.
It's strange because NI MAX shows when the camera is in use by another user, reports information like IP & serial fine, so it appears that it can 'see' it. It just can't seem to initiase it to grab any frames.

Please consult your administrator regarding this error. ". Please check the error log file for more infromation. Please try to use bpel fault handlers to catch the faults in your bpel process. If this is a system exception, please report this to your system administrator. Administrator could perform manual recovery of the instance from last non-idempotent activity or dehydration point.

I can envisage this happening only in a case where the update is taking a longer time than the value of JTA transaction timeout.
Is this happening for all BPEL instances or some of them get thru succesfully ?
Are you EVER updating that particular row of your table ( before/after) ?
